  1. I personally would not expect to see any props/set pieces in NY, Production Central or Hollywood due to the Superstar Parade... except for fog machines. The projections will most likely return, but i'd rather see them put to use better because despite many people fapping over their awesomeness, they really were not that amazing. The lighting was horrible and they only looked good from a distance (and even that is being generous). Honestly, they weren't really ready for the tech, at least not in the scale they tried to use it last year for Acid Assault. Harry Warden (My Bloody Valentine) & a SAW pig (SAW films) were featured in 2009's "Horrorwood Die-In" scarezone, so I could easily see there being a SH nurse & pyramid head (stilts?) in the streets. Hollywood's AC house last year had a stilt character, I'm not sure if they could have someone on stilts inside the Sprung Tent or not, but an AC related character could also make an appearance outside of the house somewhere, depending on what they do.
  2. My god... these are some fap-worthy pictures! The first 3 look like WWOHP postcards! The HULK coast pic is wow. The Sea Lion pic is awwwww.
  3. The lack of one house doesn't affect whether or not a house facade is better or not. We've had very well done and somewhat elaborate facades for the Sprung Tents when there were 8 houses. 2006 (Psycho Path), 2007 (The THING: Assimilation), 2008 (The Hallow), 2009 (The Spawning) & 2010 (Havoc) = the best Sprung Tent facades. There were other really good ones too that had extra things to enhance the entrance. My point is, don't expect to see anything more "elaborate" than usual just because there is one less house.
  4. It is definite. The Alice Cooper facade concept art says "Sprung Tent 1", which is the sprung tent closest to Simpsons. The facade was covered with a black tarp so that way the Alice Cooper house could remain a secret until they announced it. Sprung Tent 2's facade is flashy and Vegas-like... But can only be viewed from the side at this time.
  5. ^technically... this isn't true. 2007's "TCM" - the Chainsaw Drill Team were lead by Sheriff Hoytt and they had the Hewitt Family BBQ (cant remember what it actually said) van parked nearby 2008's "Doomsday" - the chainsaws were all "freak"-like to tie into the atmosfear of the house. (Mohawks, ripped black clothes, markings, painted faces) So it is possible for IP houses to have scarezones tied into them. Unfortunately, any IP houses in a soundstage, they have to find a different location within the park. Honestly, that isn't necessarily a bad thing. In regards to Silent Hill, I'd rather not have the SZ directly next to the house because it will only make that area even more of a clusterf*ck...
  6. HHN 2001's "RUN" supposedly had "maze-like" qualities... however... we're veering off speculation once again,.. (no wonder this thread has 70+ pages) Gargoyles.... Stone by day, By night... THEY LIVE AGAIN!!!... aaaannnnnndddd GO!
  7. Universal can't use the Potter characters in the park in WWOHP during regular park hours... hence the lack of photo-op with Harry, Dumbledore, Voldemort etc look-a-like face characters... WWOHP has strict guidelines & rules. Using Potter characters will NEVER happen for HHN.
  8. I personally want to see a cameo from these guys
  9. By coming to "Orlando" he means that HHN Orlando is getting an "Alice Cooper's: Welcome to my Nightmare" house. Hollywood is getting "Alice Cooper Goes To Hell 3D" and NO... Alice Cooper is NOT going to be performing at HHN... Here is a HHN Hollywood Twitter update explaining why:
  10. Nope. That is part of Potter... therefore it can't be touched. And it will have LED screens for windows, so they'd have to create an all new video to play, which wouldn't really be that exciting. Plus the whole Potter expansion thing wont be opening until 2014 or somewhere around that time-frame. While it is a nice thought... it won't happen...
  11. Yes... the Sprung Tent 2 facade is on the normal side this year. However, we know they can have the house exit anywhere, so the layout will definitely be different from last year.
  12. okay... sooo i'm going to veer speculation over to a different house momentarily and see what vomits from your minds... Here is a concept art image for the original version of "Museum of Horrors". It was going to be a 3-run house, yes that would be 3 separate houses with one overall theme. However, the 3rd house was scrapped & it was simply a "dual run". Anyway... this scene was specifically gargoyle themed. It featured the mirrored floor trick we saw in 2007 (Dead Silence) and 2008 (Interstellar Terror). And of course there would've been gargoyle scareactors in harnesses that would blend in with the architecture and would "come to life" for the scare...
  13. Short answer: no Detailed answer: Do not expect anything detailed or elaborate for NY, Production Central, or Hollywood because that is the parade route. This means that the scarezones will have to be more like the 90s where it was scareactors & fog. Will there be any normal fully themed scarezones? Yes, there should be. Central Park to MIB could handle actual "themed" scarezones. San Francisco can also have a real scarezone. But don't expect the decrease of a house to mean the increase in scarezones or scarezone quality. Especially since every year, the scarezones decreased in size, budget cut, or cut from the event all together. Universal likes to spend the least amount of money as possible since they already know they have your money practically in their pocket.
  14. No. ..well as of right now, its a "no". Its just that one of scenes found on the permit could tie-into a bedroom scene or two from the movie. And the vortex room (spinning tunnel) could be used as a way to "go into the light". But those are just a stretch in the imagination right now. It could end up just being a generic haunted mansion-esque house with only nods to different "haunted house" type movies. so.. consider the house to be "original", until the full website reveal....
  15. The FFP+ with express works just like a normal express pass for the event. Once per house for each night of the FFP.
  16. Here is a similar type of question asked on Hollywood's Twitter...
  17. Here is the express pass info.... http://www.halloweenhorrornights.com/orlando/express-pass.html Annual Passholder Discount

  19. oh you mean like the taglines they have already used 8 years ago for 2004's event? "Twice The Size. Twice The Fear." "2X The Fear"
  20. Another piece of concept art for "Alice Cooper's Welcome To My Nightmare" that can be seen in the video posted above...
  21. Here is one other piece of concept art that can be seen in the recent video...

  24. You can do a lot with a Sprung Tent facade... there have been a multitude of full-size facades. They clearly would rather spend money elsewhere within the event rather than dump it all into a facade... (or it could've been a victim of budget cutting)
