  1. I remember that. I enjoyed that house. It wasn't the scariest but it was cool.
  2. They haven't been overly elaborate, but they have worked very nicely.
  3. I'm hoping to get in as well. Try to get ahold of some HHN scareactors. They might be able to get you a ticket.
  4. I would love to see the actual name and sign, but there will always be those people that complain and make a fuss about it.
  5. That would be cool to see. It works in a lot of smaller haunts. It could potentially slow down the flow of a house, but I'm sure they could fit in somehow.
  6. The facade is inside the parade building. Not sure which side we enter on, but I'm hoping it will be the front side. I'm leaning towards the back side closest to the road, however.
  7. My mistake. I didn't think that over before I wrote it. How could I forget scary tales...
  8. TWD was really the only house that didn't have an internal facade.
  9. You can kill a chainsaw wielding maniac with a hammer... they are still scary. You should actually make that comic JDW.
  10. Houses: 1)Halloween- Awesome movie(s) and it's a classic 2)Dracula Untold- I want to see everyone's face who is doubting this house when the event opens 3)AvP- loved the movie and it's a badass idea for a house 4)Roanoke- I love history and any house with ties to history 5)Giggles- it's been a while since we've seen a clown house 6)Dollhouse- reminds me of Cindy and dolls are creepy 7)FDTD- meh, movie was good and show was okay 8)TWD- yea, it's cool that it's going to be big but I'm kinda getting sick of the whole zombies thing Zones: 1)Purge- I'm a fan of the movies and... Chainsaws. How could you go wrong? 2)Bayou- can't wait to see the shack and we haven't seen Voodoo in a very long time 3)Face Off- I enjoy the show and the unique characters 4)Maskerade- cool idea but it seems like the smallest zone
  11. I'm super interested in how the houses will turn out this year. It's the first time in a while that I've been super into thinking about what kind of scares and affects we will see in each house/zone.
  12. I approve of the Hyatt. It's always clean and you get fee breakfast. That helps you save a ton of money and time when staying down here. Plus, with its proximity to the park you could go back and forth with ease.
  13. It appeares to be wrapped up bodies holding baby dolls. I think that this could lead to a ghillie scare. Maybe an actor with the same sort of cloth or wrap on, leaning up against the walls.
  14. Get to the park as early as possible. If you know someone who is attending the annual pass holder event that night, you can do three houses before the entire event opens so that gives you a head start. What I would do is get there early, do all the houses once without the express passes, then do bill and teds, then go back and do all the houses again with the express pass. That's what I do.
  15. Candles in the trees?!? Awesome!!
  16. I'm very interested in this zone. Can't wait to see how it turns out.
  17. Yea I think they will move the bus and truck out further once RTU is over.
  18. It's probably not going to be house of the year. Roanoke and Dracula have a better chance.
  19. I would rather not see too many animatronics. Depending on size and function, they can be really expensive. If they are spending money on too many animatronics, then they will cut off funding for other things. Personally, I don't really like animatronics as much as live actors, but I do understand that some things just can't be done with actors.
  20. I completely agree with you hunnylvr. I went 8-10 nights last year and part of it was because of LT. I really enjoyed racking up points and badges and I picked up a lot of LT merch as well. Not to mention, the last night of the event was totally awesome with the final LT task and closing remarks from T.J and Thornecastle. There were hundreds of people participating that night and it really made it seem more like a community. Personally, I think that LT increased profits last year for sure. Not an enormous amount, but think of all the frequent fear passes, merchandise, and concessions were sold during the course of the event. With some changes, LT could be marketed so that more people are aware of it and interested in checking it out. Nowhere did I see LT advertised on billboards or any other signage last year. What if it was advertised more? I think a lot more people would be interested and therefore, the business aspect of the event would see even more profits. Just my thoughts.
  21. As JDW said, it would be easy to keep us occupied and happy with only a little work. Someone in A&D would be happy to take up an alias on a social media account and gives us clues, puzzles, etc. And they best part is, they wouldn't have to pay a single penny to do this. Unfortunately, in the eyes of the company, the event is doing just fine so why even bother with it?
  22. I couldn't agree more JDW. The old, original days of Horror Nights were what made the event special and engrossing. After attending HHN for the first time, my best friend and I were inspired by the elaborate stories and amount of creativity/diversity in the event. We were so much inspired that we started building our own haunted houses and often built off of some of the story lines that A&D created for HHN. In the past few years I have seen the event drastically change and it seems like a totally different animal now. It's a real shame that we don't have much backstory and original content this year. Unfortunately I don't see things changing for the better anytime soon.
  23. I really hope that sometime in the future we get the chupacabra house. I think it would be really interesting.
