I have to agree. What makes this house so special? I really don't get it. Yes, it has a War theme, but we've had those before. Anything that is startling could trigger a reaction. This argument could have been brought up years ago and it still would have been the same.

Canyon of Dark Souls is... interesting. I'm not really sure if I like it. They're just gonna keep it black like that? Grown Evil looks like it'll be a huge hit this year.

Couldn't agree with you more, Hush! I've been dying for an all black house that uses sound and touch. I think taking away the ability to see is extremely scary.

I go the 13th and 14th every year.. It's never been that bad.

I usually do Jaws queue first and then just make a big circle. But this year I might do the following... The In-between Saws N Steam Holidays of Horror The Thing Nightingales Winters Night The Forsaken In-between again. Nevermore. Then walk back through the zones.

I'm interested to see this zone flesh out some more. It seems very interesting. I'm excited to see what the sets look like!

If we get just people dressed in black, I'll be pretty disappointing.. I want some type of ghoul or goblin character, witch a b/w skin tone or maybe some black light paint on them. We'll for sure see the ninjas, but if that's all I think the zone will be a flop. That just isn't enough for my tastes.

Why do you consider it to be outdated? It's an extremely effective effect that helps tell the story. In fact, I think it's one of the most effective effects that we see year after year at HHN. Every time I walk through it, it's disorienting. There's no getting used to it. That, and it's fun to walk through!

i feel like this zone is gonna be awesome. I love how they have bats and owls throughout the zone. Very cool.

I think Creatures pulled it off much better, even though Creatures lacked the creatures. I got a good amount of scares in there.

I wear a hoodie or a jacket everyday. It's usually below freezing in my school so it's a must!

I did, and I really didn't enjoy it all that much. I went through it a few times and for me it wasn't all that scary to me (the sets were awesome though). The problem I find with the b-movie themed houses is that they aren't as scary. Leave it to Cleaver, really, I didn't get 1 scare, nor jump, or anything. Zombiegeddon did it right though. Cheesy idea with some great scares and moments. I'm not judging the house I'm just going off of passed experiences. Although I can't say I'm excited for this house, I can say I am expecting a great experience like I had in Zombiegeddon.

If we were to get a hoody this year, I would love a big "21" in the cream color spade with blood splattered on it. And then on the back have "Halloween Horror Nights 21". I think that's be really nice./

I agree. We've been wishing for at least hoodies for the longest time now, and we still haven't gotten them! I think it's time for some new merch.

I have to agree.. I doubt there will be real snow. Home For The Holidays took place during Christmas and the snow was all fake.

I have to say.. I'm not really looking forward to this one. I feel like we've gotten the cheesy holiday theme a lot, event though we really haven't. I guess I just don't really like the idea. It seems to be very unoriginal compared to the rest of the houses. I even think I'm more excited about the Thing than this house.

They could make good sounds if they went out and recorded real chainsaw sounds. They could get it pretty real sounding. You can get sounds sounding like they're right next to you if you manipulate the recording correctly. But to do that you need a good high quality recording of the actual chainsaw. Who knows! Maybe they'll surprise us.

One of the problems with the sound effect is that it sounds fake. If I remember correctly, they're never as loud as loud as they should be, and they don't sound like actual chainsaw recordings. They could invest in some electric chainsaws. Though, I'm not really aware of the differences between the two types.

I hate to sound like a prick, but I kind of feel like everyone is making a bigger deal out of it than it really is. No one is forcing anyone into the event, nor is anyone making forcing anyone into the houses. Universal has good taste, and we've had a scare zone that had to do with war themes already. I expect everyone to know what they're getting into when they go to HHN. The park map has the houses and descriptions on the map and everyone should use it. I don't see how this is any different than Havoc or the scarezone in past years. Even The Thing: Assimilation had a very big combat feel to it.
