  1. If those are hints, I'd be really disappointed. But I doubt they are. It'll be interesting to see what the buttons do this year, if we get them!
  2. A no alcohol night would be very nice, I must say.
  3. I want them to experiment with the Legendary Truth theme. They can go anywhere with it. I like the ghosts idea, I think it's really cool. Wyandote Estate wasn't the best and clearly could have been better. I never got to experience Ghost Town, but I've seen pictures, and I'd love for them to do something like that or study it to do something better than it, as Legacy said.
  4. I don't know about you guys, but I kind of don't like the queue videos. You end up watching these short videos over and over again and it just gets annoying. I'd rather have them play a movie or something rather than a short video for the houses.
  5. To be honest, 3D houses sound way better than they really are. I've only been in one, which was Clown O Vision, but it was just bad. I felt like the glasses were just a waste of money. They just didn't do much for me. I think it'd be cool if they did a real Fun House type of theme. Complete with a slide, obstacles and moving floors!
  6. The music video were a nice touch, I liked that. Helped make the lines feel less long sometimes lol.
  7. MS Stands for Midnight Syndicate. A lot of the dark, creepy music you hear on the HHN website and at the event is from them! http://www.midnightsyndicate.com/
  8. You obviously have never experienced how fun Rocky can be, live or in the theater! As for it being gone, I don't really mind. They cut a lot out from when I saw it in 07, but that was before I became a Rocky fan. In fact, that show made me on. After I saw the show I was dying to see the movie! But when I'm at HHN, I'd personally much rather do the houses, rather than see RHPS. I can see that back where I am at home if I want to.
  9. I just really wish they'd look into moving things around a little. They have practically all the scare zones at the front of the park, which makes the back of the park empty.
  10. I think both parks have their pros and cons. But I believe they can still use IOA very well depending on the theme. I honestly can't see them putting 2005's event at Universal. But as for the scare zones, I have to disagree with the theming. Potter could be themed for Halloween with pumpkins, and the area been HP and Seuss could be a scare zone. Universal has it's empty spots as well As for the areas being too heavily themed, I agree but also disagree. They could transform areas with lighting and props pretty easily. Really, just depends on the overall theme of the event. Universal just has very straight paths and although it can be themed, theres only so much you can change around every year with how the zone is set up. Although, a scare zone on that bridge towards the back of the park would be pretty cool and new.
  11. To be honest, I'm getting rather bored of the event being at Universal. I mean, I love the event and I will continue to go, but I feel like the park itself is very bland. The houses are not really included in this, because those are great, but the scare zones, for me, have been iffy. I mean they've all been in the same spots, and there always structured in similar ways. Maybe it's just me, and since I've ONLY experienced the event at Universal it just feels a little worn out. I guess it's just me dying to have the event at the other park, and I know I've said it a lot but I really think it's time for the Islands to get it's turn with HHN.
  12. I don't think they could gore up any of the rides, just because of the people who ride the ride during the day. Unless they'd go and pick up all the floating bodies, and clean off all the blood every day, I can't see that happening. But I'd LOVE for them to put scareacters in ride queues. The Mummy and ET would be great places to do it.
  13. The layouts are very, very similar. If not almost identical. The past three houses there have all had the room with the "pipes" in it. That's just one room that just pops into my mind when I think of it though. It just overall felt like I had been in that place before, without even having gone through it yet. It kind of took away from the immersiveness of the house. Now, the other tent on the other hand has felt new to me every year. I think my favorite house in there was the Hallow.. I went through that one practically by myself and at some points I felt lost.
  14. I forgot about that one! It was harder to tell since it was so dark inside. Haven't they changed it all before though? I don't remember Clown O Vision being anything like the layout that's there now.
  15. Besides me wanting the event to go back to the Islands this year, there's one thing I'd absolutely love if they did it. The first time I heard about Halloween Horror Nights was through the Art of the Scare that played on the Travel Channel, I believe. That show literally made me drool when I watched it, and I watched every time it came on. I'd love for them to do another special on it, especially since it's come such a long way. Which is partly why I want the event back at the Islands, because it seemed so awesome there.
  16. Another thing that I think will change this year is the layout in the tent where Havoc and the Spawning were. I felt like I was walking through the almost the same exact layout as the spawning when I went through Havoc!
  17. The problem with splitting the event is the obvious really spread out attractions. It's A LOT of walking. If they were to split the park up like that, I think they should stay away from using the Earthquake queue because of how far away it spits you out. Maybe two or three houses in the sound stages or in Nazerman's, a scare zone in that area, and a scare zone in between the parks. They could also put the MS show in a soundstage if they used both parks. Anything beyond Nazerman's would be way to much of a walk. But I think this would help disperse crowds a bit and help with queue times. Maybe they could get HRRR open for the night as well.
  18. I never thought about that! I wonder if they'd have a problem with theming the harry potter area, though.
  19. I personally can't wait to see HHN back in IOA. I missed 2005, so I never got to experience it. In my opinion, 2005s event wouldn't have worked very well over at Uni if you think about it. I feel like IOA has the ability to be extremely immersive, with it's narrower streets and windier paths. Especially with the Jurassic Park area. These things make great scare zones. Though I never really looked into where 8 houses would go...
  20. It's been quite a while since I've been active. It's nice to see some speculation on this years event. As for the no icon idea, I like it. I think it'd be nice to just have an awesome theme with great houses and scarezones. These past couple years, the icons really haven't been that relevant. As for the ones who say the icons bring in crowds, I bed to differ. I always ask my friends if they know who the icon is, and they never know. The only time they did know was when Bloody Marry was around, but she was so irrelevant at the event itself that it didn't matter. During Ripped from the Silver Screen, people just said that the theme was movies and that there wasn't an icon. I tend to think the general public don't know what the icon is most of the time these past few years.
  21. How could they do this next year, if the icons are supposed to done with year?
  22. And why didn't they do that theme? That was pretty awesome..
  23. I really like his look.. I'd like him to look a bit more worn though, and maybe add some more vines. Maybe over the years he will get more worn out. This is his first time out in public, so maybe as years pass, the vines will get thicker, his skin will become even more worn, as well as his clothes (or bed sheets, as my uncle put it).
  24. I think it's scary to go through a second time. I didn't even wanna walk past some parts hahaha
  25. I've stayed the Royal Pacific twice for HHN. You can walk from the hotel to the park. It's a little bit of a walk, nothing to bad though. There is a small special trail to get there. But if you don't want to walk, they have boats that come every few minutes that take you to City Walk. They run pretty much all night. We left HHN one night at 2 AM, caught the boat, and it took us right to the hotel. Most of the time we walked though. Its a nice walk, and a little creepy at night since it's all dark for the most part at night. But you're gonna tired I'm sure. So, you might wanna take the boat
