  1. Hey @Reaper! I am sooooooo getting in the mood for this year by listening to your excellent recap playlists! Thanks once again for your excellent work and I can't wait to see this year's mix!

  2. See the thing people need to remember is that this comes from the Creative team (TJ and Rick among others) and they have been working on this for years. I have been fortunate to experience all of the testing that the fans were lucky enough to get a chance to be part of the last 3 years and let me tell you, it is a very neat blend of technology, story telling and traditional haunted house elements. This is in no way the "Extreme" house that people are calling it. That is a throw back to 2003 and keeps coming up from time to time in fan spectulation. This is an all new (to the masses anyway) experience for 2016. Expect live sets, a few scare actors and heavy use of technology. What I experienced the past few years, particularly last year, was pretty damn cool and in spots delivered an experience that you simply can not get via going through a traditional HHN maze. I expect it to be about 30-45 minutes and the VR portion about 15 minutes. I suspect that much of the content will be what I have already seen, but I am ok with that because I want to see the full product delivered from the team. I hope that it will be an all new experience that will surprise me, but whatever the content, I am glad to support this as I believe in the Creative team and know that with their success in this area gives makes it more likely we see more original content at HHN. Given that, I really hope that the team have this experience bug free and seamless. For the $50 upcharge it has to be glitch free and go off without a hitch. Show your support guys and gals. This is a project of love by the masters and for the fans. The fact that UO gave them a budget says a lot. I can't wait for my session I booked for September 30th at 5pm.

  3. I might as well give my opinion to get things rolling. If it isn't obvious enough, hit the houses in the back first. I'm not sure on locations, but I can assure you that at least one of those houses will be a good use of time. They don't fill up as quickly as AHS and Krampus being right there in the front, so I implore you to go back there and get the houses over with. This will do some good to people who have express passes, as you won't have to use it so early. Get there early. I know the website already says this, but let me elaborate. GET THERE EARLY. Lines are gonna fill up faster than you think, and it'll be only 5:45. I suggest 5:30 at latest. That way you can experience houses faster. When it comes to IP's, it goes without saying that they fill up faster than original guest. That's an unspoken rule. But do not panic. Line waits are overexaggerated most of the time. Last year, The Purge had a listed wait time of 70 minutes. I was in line for 30. Things die down after the first few hours, and then everything is a breeze. It all just depends on the night. I could list so much more but I'll leave that to the rest of the group. I don't want to look like I'm talking to myself.

  4. I watched their Knotts video from 2013 when they performed for their Halloween event. I have to say, I am impressed. They tried to make it a "freakshow" theme which kinda worked. It also wasn't all rap or techno. In fact, the last 8-9 minutes is all "toned down" music. It ends with an awesome "dance" from Bohemian Rhapsody which seems to be a staple for them that they perform in multiple different shows (even on Americas Got Talent). I am also impressed with the size of this group and I hope they all come to Orlando. Of course, my first thought is why are they spending so much money to bring this massive dance crew down to Orlando and house them for nearly 2 months? Would have been so much cheaper to do a Chance show with locals. Still, after watching multiple performances, I feel like this crew can give us a show loosely tied into an overarching story that is not 100% rap/techo dance music. Ideally it will be 50's music to fit into the Vamp '55 scarezone. I just don't understand why they don't use the T2-3D theater to house a show like this. Hollywood pulled it off just fine when they put on Rocky Horror in their old T2 theater. Would be able to put on one heck of a show with all the special effects and screens that theater offers. Plus, they could use the aisles to not be stuck on the stage the whole show. This is their Knotts video (ignore the annoying "intro"):

  5. So, were all the rumors of the conjuring just a case of the hype train and the community going overboard and seeing things that wernt there?

  6. I have only been to 24 and 25 and both years the T-shirts were just awful. I want something simple. That awful blood font and material on the front and the odd logo placements on the back is not something I would wear outside of the event. However, a more simple shirt like posted above would be perfect! With an even bigger (we think) HHN store, I hope that they give us more shirt options.

  7. You’ll witness the atrocities that befell many of the unfortunate souls of a roadside Freak Show and encounter Twisty, a maniacal and deformed clown performer. (https://blog.universalorlando.com/featured/hhn-26-american-horror-story/) I hope they do something with Edward Mordrake and his band of dead freaks. That was one of the best parts of the whole season. I'll have to rewatch that season, but I remember being disappointed with how small of a part he played though. I wonder if they'll be using more of an original approach with certain parts of this house. Twisty is a cool character, but I hope they don't put all their focus on just him.

  8. I was actually just thinking about this. I swear I remembered Mike, or one of the creatives, giving an interview a year or two ago where they were asked about AHS ever coming to HHN and they weren't sure. For the life of me I can't find the interview, and it's been driving bat shit crazy all day. But I thought they said something akin to the fact that weren't sure because that if it ever did come to HHN they wouldn't want to cut the content (I.E the violence, sexual nature, or anything.) They loved the property and want to respect it, but they weren't sure guests were ready for that yet/or mention of AHS extreme house. God... I swear this interview was real. I remember having conversations about it with people. Anybody else remember this, or am I just going mad?

  9. Why are people thinking it is an extreme house? No where does it indicate this.

  10. ***Start Bitching*** Ohhhhh, the humanity!!!!!! How dare they (potentially, we don't know the details yet) tell you to put the glasses on and off! Like how dare they make you put glasses on for Terminator...or Shrek...Or Spider-Man...etc. They should make them all one giant ride so we don't have to do be burdened with putting on glasses, and taking them off. It's bad enough I have sunglasses that I have to take off when I go indoors, but to make me do it in a house is unbearable! Nevermind that the glasses aren't some magic prescription lens that will damage your eyes if you leave them on when the black lights aren't on. Are you seriously complaining about that? LEAVE THEM ON THE WHOLE HOUSE. I'm sure you're eyes will survive the 3 minutes that the glasses are on. Or, better yet, don't go in it. I love 3D houses. Why? They're unique and they're fun and I get to see, at most, one per year. I can go see 3D movies and I have a 3D TV at home, but the house isn't that kind of 3D...it's a completely different and entertaining type. It's a type that can do optical illusions with black light that are impossible for real people to be able to do otherwise. It makes the most disorienting environments that can put you on edge more than any other kind of ambiance. I can't believe how many people are upset that they have the most successful and popular Horror TV show in history at the park every year and that somehow is ripping them off...and then people that complain that the house, they know nothing about, is somehow lessened by it being a 3D house. Nobody is forcing you to go to the event...nor is anybody forcing you to go through this house...or put on the glasses...or take them off. ***End Bitching***
