  1. I really want a Hitchcock house. I heard the Poe house a few years back was good. If they can make a house that recreates all of Hitchcocks movies that would be amazing.

  2. Singapore's doesn't seem that great icon wise. Most seem really bad. I just got back from my haunt season and I'll honestly rank HHN Orlando mid-tier as a haunt. Even their "detail" is far less than other haunts are. Netherworld blew it away in every way.

  3. They kind of did a Hitchcock house a few times in the early years of HHN. BUT I would LOVE to see a collection house like Poe!

  4. How about stuff we haven't seen before? Like original concepts that doesn't deal with anything in the past. These guys and gals are very talented at what they do and they went BIG this yr (As TJ told me personal, "We had to go big or go home").. they need to top this past yr but the sad thing is (IMO) this was the best yr since 2008. Granted they havent top the 08 storyline but those days are over (Unless you got LT). So stop thinking about the past elements and think about what new stuff we can see.. the AWIL puppets in a couple yrs ago were amazing cause we never seen them before.. We need to see stuff like that at the event more often

  5. ^Mike has said in the past he loves that movie and wants to do it someday, so I say Klowns is in the realm of possibility. TRT has a sequel in 2017, so that's when I'm betting we see it. Hollywood wants to do it, there's a lot of fans on both coasts asking for it, and it'll be time relevant.

  6. I NEED to see Orlando tackle a Killer Klowns from Outerspace and Trick R' Treat maze. My life would be complete.

  7. Kings owns the rights to The Shining. Period. The studio (and Kubrick) purchased the rights from King for the movie. Any use of the Shining requires King's approval.

  8. Definitely would like this. But Jack wasn't any of those, lol, arguably redesigned.

  9. I definitely thought it was weak. In some respects, I think it was actually worse than 23. 23 at least had some ambition with the whole "What Evil Has Taken Root?" thing that got stomped on by Marketing at the last minute. 24 basically gave me the feeling that A&D just gave up and bowed before the higher-ups. Plus, I would say that overall 23 had slightly better houses. AWIL, Cabin, and Evil Dead I thought were all great, and La Llorona was good as well. In 24, Halloween was the only house that really "wow'd" me, with AVP and Dollhouse also being enjoyable. Everything else was either mediocre or terrible. Sure 24 gave us real scare zones again, but how good were they really? Maskerade had good atmosphere, but not really any scares or guest interactions, and I'd say the same thing for Bayou. The Purge, while good, was certainly no Island Under Siege. And I've seen episodes of Dora the Explorer that were scarier than Face/Off. I was pretty much ready to jump ship after 24, but thankfully 25 reignited my interest. While not a complete return-to-form, it was a step in the right direction that I hope they'll keep walking in for next year, as it blew away the past three years easily.

  10. that's what happens when you can put all your creativity and budget in a couple of houses instead of 9 houses and 5 streets. Netherworld wll always win since they are so much smaller and they don't have little Disney families visiting their event.

  12. I would like to see this line up: The Shining Alfred Hitchcock Presents (a collection of his best movie moments) The Conjuring (since it seems like everyone expects it.) Nightingales sequel Catacombs sequel Universal Monsters Urban Legends 3 new orginals

  13. You might want to look closely at the house lineups from the first twenty years. Most of the houses Universal has done has either been an IP, a rip-off of an IP, or some generic haunt idea that had been done before. Hell, the first "icon" for the event was the Cryptkeeper.

  14. I'm okay with ips but seriously, having properties that aren't shared makes you want to go to both events to experience them. The problem with shared ips imo is it makes you not want to go to both events so if you do one of the shared ips in one of the events, you don't wanna go and do it at the other event since you think you've already experienced it. That's reality though.

  15. And... AND Hollywood took over, and then we got a lot of shared houses, and got shared walking dead, etc... etc.

  16. All I really want out of a new icon is an interesting female icon. I couldn't care less what she did, just as long as she's as interesting as her male counterparts and doesn't get lost in a copyright battle.

  17. Pfft just look at Hollywood's event, the entire event is a marketing catalog

  18. It's totally unoriginal. They rely on more of other people's ideas & concepts than they do their own. HHN 1- 21, AWESOME! HHN 22-24, one huge marketing catalog for IPs. HHN 25, still a marketing catalog yet with a somewhat big bonus of awesomeness and originality.

  19. My biggest (nonrealistic) wish is for them to stop running the Superstar Parade from Sept.-Nov. in order for us to have proper scare zones again. Something we haven't seen since 2011. Yes, we still get props and sets, but when's the last time we got something like 20 Years of Fear? Or Asylum in Wonderland? Or fucking ROBOSAURUS??? The parade can't be THAT big of a thing. The only things I can see being the main purpose of the parade is the M&G they do with the floats in front of Mel's, which they can still do with proper zones, just don't put one in Mel's. And also to drive merch sales. It'd be nice to have a major set design in Hollywood and New York again. But if the choice for budget is either big, expansive zones, or 9-10 all new houses, I'm absolutely picking the houses.

  20. even if their Director is not that scary and even if the puppet master looks silly. It does bother me to know that while Orlando completely gave up on making new icons, in the exact same time they gave up Singapore's team are coming up with all these great ideas. And yes, their event is brand new so they are just starting to create stuff and it is brand new to them so they probably have a lot of ideas and they have a lot energy or creativity or whatever to make this stuff... But still, How come we have never had a vampire Icon, Imagine the vampire girl in the middle being our Icon, or that general guy. or even the puppet guy.

  21. The puppet master sounds cool, they would just need to make him look scarier. He looks kinda lame in the promo pics. Plague doctor. I LOVE anything related to the plague. Eddie taking over because he's sick and tired of Jack always being the center of attention would be awesome.

  22. Why is it that Singapore gets really good icons & we're stuck with Fear & Lady Luck?!

  23. So, this zone won for best? It should! I couldn't get enough of it - we kept walking through it back and forth as many times as possible. Plus, we got married there - in the grass with the pumpkins and the big scarecrow looking things. I'll always remember this scare zone. And Pumpkinhead.. my favorite. I know you're on here, bud - so who are you? Love to you, my friend.

  24. What really sucks is it's hard to tell if YES the event is this crowded now or if it was merely just due to being a celebration year and it'll die down next year. Went to the last bill and ted myself and barely made it despite being 30mins early. I was in the outside standby line of "you are not guaranteed entry if you're in this line" spiel. However everyone in the show it seemed has seen it 5000 times as they knew all the lines.

  25. I am flabbergasted that Evil's Roots isn't a hands down winner for best scarezone. It's one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen, and the actors in there are fabulous.
