  1. If anything I would think everyone would really be excited to see how Universal can pull off all these houses based on different types of media. This is their opportunity to reach a much larger audience for the event. You've got your gamers who will want to see what the SH house is all about, the television viewers who want to check out TWD house and then your rockers who want to see what Alice Cooper can pull off. And that's just three houses, whose to say what Uni has up their sleeves for the remaining ones, not to mention the scarezones? Let's face it, we are moving into our 22nd year of this event, it's time to start thinking out of the box and going with some well known properties (SH and TWD) to keep long time fans intrigued and gain the interest of newer ones. In the 22 years I've attended this event, I can say that I've only been disappointed a handful of times...and something tells me this year, I won't be disappointed at all.

  3. I wonder if we'll come out his ass (inflatable walls) like we did for Jack's Funhouse in 2007....

  4. From past conversation, depending on which night Halloween falls on, the end of the month gets a bit crowded. Also, there is a day in mid-October when colleges and universities have a Friday off. That weekend is the worst and has been called "Hell Week". It's be good to find out when that one is.

  7. wait so you are worried that kids don't know who Alice Cooper is? I don't know, he is pretty big, the event is supposed to be 13 and up anyway LOL no but seriously, most people that go to HHN are at least 20, I know a lot of teens go, but I don't see a problem with Using Alice Cooper, besides they Already Used him in Hollywood Last year, it worked well for them, so well in fact they are bringing it here and doing a second year over there, so I think it is safe to say this house will bring people in, and the kids that don't know Alice Cooper will probably go to the event for Silent Hill or Walking dead, In Fact, Alice Cooper is more Famous than Both Silent Hill and Walking Dead, half or more of the members in this forum don't know what Silent hill is or have never watched Walking dead, but Im sure everyone in here knows who he is and I am sure almost everyone in here has at least heard one of his songs, at least once, Alice Cooper was in Dark Shadows for example, that just came out, I think this will be bigger than Silent Hill as far as being famous, he is one of those huge iconic celebrities that almost everyone knows, like KISS or Ozzy, even if people are not fans, usually they know who they are,

  8. Very excited to hear about this! Love Alice Cooper and his demented, creative ways...hope the house is a reflection of him and these characteristics all the way through. And of course, his tunes playing inside the house would be a bonus in itself.

  9. No, Orlando is getting Welcome to My Nightmare, which will be similar to the maze we here in Hollywood had last year. Hollywood is getting Alice Cooper Goes to Hell 3D, which is based off the 7 deadly sins. Hope that clears things up for you .

  10. I feel like I'm the only one excited for this House. AC fans, like myself, are freaking excited! I love his music and personality, I Can't WAIT to see what they'll be doing here in Orlando. And to those dissing the poor AC house idea for Orlando, remember that the "Crappiest" house ideas, usually end up House Of The Year c; (In my opinion at least...)

  11. Just because you think you know what the characters for Silent Hill,The Walking Dead, and Alice Cooper look like dosent mean you will know where they will pop out from... And once again this isn't the first time IP's have come to the event..ex.2007 & 2009 and many other years...

  12. I have a problem with this whole "worthy" crap people keep throwing around in regards to Orlando's event. The event is not all high & mighty just because there has been 9 more events for Orlando than Hollywood, doesn't make it superior. And to say the event doesn't need to rely on certain "gimmicks", i'd have to disagree because the event will never evolve into something more if it doesn't branch out in different directions. These so-called gimmicks will only help fuel and challenge A&D's creativity (that is until corporate comes in and budget cuts everything like usual). Um... if it wasn't for HHN Hollywood (and Knotts for that matter), we wouldn't have an event. And to say "we're turning into hollywood" just because we have IP houses is amusing considering how many houses over the years were based on IPs (including when Hollywood's event was on hiatus) at the event before. HHN 1992 had "People Under The Stairs" & HHN 1993 had "Psycho"/"People Under The Stairs"... thats 2 IP houses during its first three years. Even the faces of HHN's first year "Fright Nights" were Universal Classic Monsters... an IP... yes.. because a video on youtube allows you to fully experience a house...

  13. Now for us that are just a tad bit on the older side.....Alice Cooper, Ozzy, Kiss....These guys were the first real big Supernatural/Horror type inspired ROCK. I know there are plenty of people out there who Love the Idea of a Rob Zombie, Slipknot , Lordi, or even a Gwar etc, type house. These guys would admit that without Alice. Ozzy,Kiss, there probably wouldn’t be the type of Music you youngins see as scary or hard core or worthy of a haunted house. Give it a chance; let’s see what Orlando A&D can do with an old school maybe even b-movie type 70's horror house. Remember some of your best Horror franchises started in the late 70's early 80's. I'm actually excited to see what they do. Supposedly it’s going to be Alice Copper Goes to Hell in 3D....that sound pretty 70's 80's Rocker/Classic Horror to me...

  15. It will be located in a Sprung Tent. But it being 3D doesn't automatically mean it is a lesser house and is always put there. The Soundstages are for the Victorian Haunted Mansion-esque house (SS20b), gargoyle house (SS20a), & Silent Hill (SS22). Don't pre-judge the sprung tents as being a lesser location because there have been soundstages that were less impressive than one of the previous tent houses. Locations for houses depend on what they intend to do, but Alice Cooper Goes To Hell will work just fine with its Sprung Tent location.

  16. Agreed. I'm under the assumption that they only paid the license for the TV Show but not for the characters, if that wasn't the case I'm sure we'd have already seen them by now in the web advertising or announcement video. They only talked about recreating the sets and taking the place of the characters like Grimp0nd said. However, we might end up seeing generic versions of those characters, as has been speculated before. With that been said, I don't think this will have a negative impact on the house, specially with Nicotero and the KNB EFX Group working really close with Universal, even providing the exact same molds and make-up pieces that they used on the show. I'm excited to be able to experience the story we already know from the Comics and TV Show, the same for Silent Hill.

  17. That would not be a bad thing at all. She is the only person on the show I want to smack hard. Upside the head. With a baseball bat. Everyone else has their shit together, but Lori just seems to be caught up in so much angst about everything. Hey here's an idea, if you hadn't slept with that douche bag Shane and could possibly be pregnant with his kid you might not feel like such an insufferable pain in the ass. Rick's too good for her. **End of rant** Could we have a Shane prop that we get to beat the shit out of too? He annoyed me from the very first time I saw him on screen.

  18. Complaints about HHN & its advertising has been going on for years... it even dates back to the "Frightmares" logo of the gremlin keeping the eyelid open.... People complained about 2002's I4 Caretaker billboard with its green glowing eyes.... calling it "demonic" In 2007, parents complained about Freddy, Jason & Leatherface being on the Burger King tray liners & cups in 2008, mothers complained about the rather tame & not-so-scary Bloody Mary billboards being "too scary" & "causing their children to have nightmares", UNI's response to this complaint..... they put up MORE billboards lol I'm pretty sure there were complaints in 2009 as well... the point is... censoring the event in any form is just being weak & giving the parents more power. And i'm sorry, but there are worse things to be seen on billboards or tv than a pair of silent hill nurse boobs... just sayin. lol And this is for a HORROR event that even has a "May Not Be Suitable For Children Under 13" warning on the website. Typical Soccer Mom Reaction: "Oh hey there was another hacked & slash body on the 6'o'clock news, no big deal though. But OMGZ I CANT BELIEVE THERE IS HORROR PORN ON A HORROR EVENT'S WEBSITE! My child must not be exposed to a character's revealing outfit from a videogame i bought him for his bday last year!"

  19. i was thinking, IF we get a silent hill street in new york, what if every 10 to 15 min the siren goes off and they use the projectors to change the buildings like we were entering the dark world like they did last year with acid assault building crumble

  20. it would be cool if they would come out with a Extreme Fear Pass with all days of the event and unlimited express. they could make it a limited ticket of 500 and make the tickets have a cool design so collection would want it too besides just a plain ticket.
