  1. This made me laugh a little, no lie, becuase I broke out a rather bold dress from the closet yesterday for the occasion. We shall have to wait and see. Last year, "sexy" meant being a bat with cleavage. lol

  2. To answer your question, a dual run house is exactly as it sounds. It has two paths. The best example would be Frightanic from long ago. It can basically give double the attraction as they are typically not symmetric. On another note, I do like the idea of 4 moving and 4 stationary scare zones. Even though we have limited space this year, it could prove to be beneficial. It would seem that most all of the park would be a scare zone, which is great for those who don't like the dead areas.

  3. I've heard the application displays 7 houses and 8 scare zones for people to be assigned to. All of which either have 1 or 2 character abbreviations. Consider it confirmed! You're welcome

  4. Wow for someone who has a grand total of 16 active posts on this forum you sure seem to think you know better than everyone else. Seeing as you are so good at reading others posts you may want to reread the ones by owner Mz and other experienced posters telling people to respect others on here even if you don't agree with them. Everyone has an opinion which they are allowed to express because last time I checked we still had something called free speech. We're all here because we love the same event so if you see a post you don't like just ignore it, much more productive than trying to put people down don't you think?

  5. Nope. The last one I remember going through was Frightanic in '98.

  6. Oh it was Carnage! (do you see what I did there lol?). Nice to see you no longer lurking, you can post now, it's safe, well kinda lol. I was initially disappointed with dropping a house but with the increase in scarezones I don't think I'll notice it so much. Now I'm interested to see what the houses and scarezones actually are because after the surprise Universal have just pulled on us I've got little faith in the supposed leaked house list we've been discussing.

  7. They will provide the specific rehearsal date for your location no later than your orientation. Rehearsals actually run (typically) between RTU and opening. Once you have the specific date of your rehearsals, then adjust your schedule.

  8. Don't forget that passholders get in the houses early before the park re-opens so 3 houses already have a chunk of people that already done them in the back of the park before the gates open.

  9. lol that sounds like bad planning, You have to be there before or At least by 6:30. even in nights that are not peak nights lol, I usually get there around 5:45, 5:30 sometimes, and yes waiting sucks, but when you get in first at 6:30 all the houses in the back have like zero waiting time, by 7:30 you have probably done half the houses, it can be done I Remember doing Catacombs by myself and The In between by myself too, when the park opened, there was no line,

  12. I'm bloody confused now. Unless the sheets were not updated .... well played otherwise universal... HOWEVER permits don't lie. There are only 6 locations as of now. So unless they are runing. Another one in 22.. Well that is still only 7. If 33 shows up... or another... then its possible.

  13. I'm sorry I was being sorta smart alecky and also at that time hoping the building wasn't coming down. It has, the house in question has been scrapped... as far as I have heard since then at least. (today's revelation of 8 houses has taken everyone by surprise) And safety issues would prohibit that area for use as you said.

  14. Bizarre, surprising stuff. I'm being told 8 houses, 7 zones. Houses listed as Disaster, Soundstages and "DG" Scarezones listed as: CP LP BY LG SO Zones (I was told "Zones" was in fact listed as a zone.) I'll post thoughts later.

  15. No. Universal Orlando did not know about the demolition of SS 44 until about a week ahead of the demo. Permits were pulled to build a haunt in there. They had started building a haunt in there. They were told stop building and remove everything, the building is coming down. The decision was made at a level above Theme Park Operations. They did not know it was coming. Regarding Jaws, while upper management may have known, most of the people who worked there didn't know it was closing until the day they announced it. Chances are good that decision was made at the corporate level as well.

  16. *thumbs up* For those doubting this year, try to channel the frustration you’re feeling into the thought that this is one big, invigorating makeover for the resort. If the parks and City Walk look great and appeal to a wide variety of people and the hotels look great too, then the chances of people visiting are higher, their length of stay and frequency of attendance increases, and frankly that means that they are more than likely going to attend HHN as well. If you're having a really good time somewhere, don't you typically try to find an excuse to stay a little longer? Or if you're a loyal regular at an establishment, don't you consider checking out events even if the content isn’t your forte? HHN is consistent; even at its “worst” for us fans it’s still winning Amusement Today’s Golden Ticket Award for Best Halloween Event in the country year after year. If you’ve got a lot of B and C rate attractions to fix, you probably aren’t going to worry too much about the ones that generally score an A with the general public and with your accounting books. HHN’s time is coming. Maybe not this year, but hopefully soon. I wouldn’t keep coming back for the abuse if I didn’t have faith in that.
