So I decided that since I'm already excited for a Halloween event in December I'd rank my top houses. I went with my top 26 which was tough because I've only been going to HHN since '12, so I definitely suffered for my newbiness. Some of these housed really hurt to include on the list. I'm interested to see more seasoned veterans and everyone else's top 26!

I was only 12 when I went through it, so I don't really remember much about it other than it was a beautiful house in my opinion and that I was terrified.

Definitely not the first time a topic like this has been created (hell I made one a few years back I believe lol), but my list has changed since then, so I'll bite:

 

(Note: it's impossible for me to make an ordered top 25, as there's just too many great houses, and it's all subjective, depending on how I'm remembering a house currently. So, with the exception of a top 3, which are their greatest achievements imo, the list is ordered by year, not favorites.)

Favorite years of HHN:

 

1a. 2011 (Strongest house lineup by FAR, great zones, and whole ton of fun.)

1b. 2015 (I had the most fun of any year this year due to many, maaany visits, great new friends, and an overall just awesome event. Only reason it's not solely my favorite year is that I feel the house lineup for 2011 was stronger. Had AWiL made it's first appearance this year, and TWD was not a thing, this would be the clear winner.)

10. 2005* (Only putting 05 this low as it was my first year, I was 9, and I don't really remember it at all.)

11. 2012 (A lot of the problems of 2012 were not A&D's fault, but it doesn't negate the fact that there were only 4 good-great houses[Gothic, Dead End, HoH, P&T], 2 bad houses [Alice Cooper and TWD], and one TERRIBLE house [fucking Silent Hill] imo. Couple that with the most unwatchable B&T of all time, lacking streets, down a house, and just an overall lack of HHN-esque presence, this year is the clear low point of HHN. All this considered, it was still fun, as it's HHN. It's always fun.)

That was a great list!

It's funny that 2012 is seen a a low point, I mean I understand why but HHN 22 was my first real year at the event. I went way back in '03 but for one night and didn't go in any of the houses (I was 12 and a coward haha). But '12 made me fall in love with the event, Dead End will always have a special spot in my heart for being my first house, I get really nostalgic when I think about it. But after going every year since then and seeing old videos of past events I see how it was a weak year.
