So I haven't been the biggest fan of video game houses, Silent Hill was meh and Resident Evil was really bad. It's so funny to me that 22 was so hated and that was my first real time going to the event. I went to earlier ones but didn't do much because I was younger. 2012 was my first time doing every house, going multiple nights, and getting sucked into the HHN world. For me walking up to the front porch of Dead End is where I feel in love with the event and knew I was hooked. But I do understand why people who were aboard the train before me would look down on it, if I'm being honest it wasn't close the best of my soon to be 5 years going (looking at you 24) but nostalgia puts a rose tint on things. My worst year would be 23, still enjoyed but man I didn't like Resident Evil and HATED Havoc.

The sneak peak of chance made me nervous, I didn't like the idea of her being an icon. The reveal has made me way more confident, I think this could be done well.

Unpopular opinion incoming in 5,4,3,2,1.... this house could be good. I think it shows potential than just a house based on season 6. Also I'm thinking this is the send off for TWD...but I'm not holding my breath.

Fair enough. I love rumors but I was sad we learned so much so early last year, it keeps it exciting to have to wait.

So, are there any solid rumors yet? I know treatment is happening for an original house, but is that where our general knowledge ends?

I've wanted a Shining house for a long time as well, and yeah Mario and Bayonetta would not work as houses thought I haven't personally enjoyed any video game based house I've seen. Silent Hill was meh and Resident Evil was one of the worst I've seen.

I do see the point you are making but you are also aware that an IP has been used in some capacity since pretty much the beginning, right? IPs will happen and people will post on this site taking random shots in the dark as to what they will be, all you have done is tell people that their OPINIONS are wrong. Is there anything in particular you'd like to see, will anything please you? I agree with you that people on here have been much more sensitive, but I'm also seeing people be much more negative.

That was a great list! It's funny that 2012 is seen a a low point, I mean I understand why but HHN 22 was my first real year at the event. I went way back in '03 but for one night and didn't go in any of the houses (I was 12 and a coward haha). But '12 made me fall in love with the event, Dead End will always have a special spot in my heart for being my first house, I get really nostalgic when I think about it. But after going every year since then and seeing old videos of past events I see how it was a weak year.

I always hear how good the hallow was, I wish I got to see it.

So I decided that since I'm already excited for a Halloween event in December I'd rank my top houses. I went with my top 26 which was tough because I've only been going to HHN since '12, so I definitely suffered for my newbiness. Some of these housed really hurt to include on the list.
