The Hunger Games

First off, the structure of The Hunger Games is very different from anything that HHN has done before. It is intentionally designed to feel like two separate houses, The Training Floor and the Arena, and would be built as such. Imagine the outdoor section of Forsaken being expanded into a much large arena, where the props define your path and hide the scareactors, not walls themselves. That then segues into the Arena itself, a literal forest intended to twist and turn on in a more traditional house style, though a canon will continuously sound at sporadic intervals. The focus of this house is the story and the atmosphere, intentionally working to be more tense than scary.

Façade - Trumpets blare over the sounds of the roaring crowd as you enter between two chariots. Before you, a high stage frames the towers above a dark entrance. Large curtains on both sides of the stage show the bearded visage of President Snow addressing the Tributes, wishing you well in the upcoming Hunger Games. The crowds roar in approval as you walk under the stage, with President Snows echoing, May the odds be ever in your favor, as you disappear through the doorway.

Training Floor The dark gray walls of the training floor echo with the clangs and shouts of the Tributes preparing to kill you. As you step through the doorway, Thresh (the boy from 11) screams at you, wielding a battle-ax. You move around the weapons rack before you and between two rows of dummies. Foxface appears, shoving one of the dummies at you.

You dodge out of its way, into a wider section of the training floor. As you walk under a platform, a glint of metal near your eye causes you to look upward, where Rue smirks down at you. You turn a corner, and find yourself between a low wall and several archery targets. You feel puffs of air as Glimmers arrows nearly catch you, forcing you to hurry ahead. You pass a planter of trees, too late realizing you are standing next to a camouflaged Peeta as he lunges at you.

Staggering away from Peeta, you find yourself near a stage again, where Seneca Crane explains the rules of the Games to you. You listen to him as you head towards the Prep Room, which allows Kato, broad sword in hand, to sneak up behind you and threaten you with a cocky shout. You hear his assured laugh as you turn out off the floor.

Prep Room You hear the computerized voice of a female announcing a ten-second count-down, as Cinna offers encouraging words to you as you cross the bare room towards the door ahead.

The Arena/Blood-Bath A horn sounds as you exit the prep room just outside the Cornucopia. You are forced to move around the crates, weapons, and supplies used to lure the Tributes into battle. The body of a young boy, slumped over a crate, twitches in the throes of death. As you glance his direction, Clove appears from behind him, brandishing two throwing knifes. You duck behind a large crate, where a dying Tribute appears, pleading for help. Concerned for you own life, you push through the brush into the dark forest.

Tracker Jackers A hum grows louder as you push further through the woods. Lifting a branch out of your way, you feel the brushing of thousands of Tracker Jackers against your face (sensation is mimicked by fishing line on rotating arms above you). The woods darken from the swarm, as the buzz grows louder. Through the trees, the puffy face of Glimmer, covered in stings, appears desperate for help. A scream behind you reveals another Tribute. For your own survival, you push through the trees and escape the swarm.

Respects - You walk along the tree line of a clearing, where the body of Rue lies peacefully surrounded by white flowers. As you pay your respects, the blood-covered Marvel appears behind you, gurgling from the arrow in his neck. You turn around a tree, narrowly avoiding his outstretched hands.

Poisoning Appearing near a waterfall, you notice a jacket laid out on the rocks with a pile of nightlock gathered. From behind a nearby tree, Foxface appears with her lips blue and puffy. She chokes and coughs as she reaches to you. She falls behind a bush in death as you force the tragic sight from your mind.

Nightfall Darkness sets in as you weave through the trees, surrounded by silence. Suddenly, a monstrous Mutt crashes through the trees with a roar. You sidestep his lunch and see the mauled body of Thresh lying in the bushes. A second Mutt appears above his body, and growls protectively. You push through the trees

Final Fight And see the Cornucopia ahead. A trio of Mutts attack and chase you as you head to the structure. Cato appears standing above it, sword in hand. He swings the blade down towards you, striking the edge of the Cornucopia as you duck inside in the structure. The roar of the crowds and the strobing flash of cameras welcome you as you move away from the Arena and out of the Hunger Games.
