My Long Review with Critiques (But I still really enjoyed it) *Full spoilers ahead*

Halloween Horror Nights 23.

I had followed all of the clues and house announcements all the way back to when they started and was really excited for this lineup. I have always liked IP houses over the originals so was pretty stoked to see some great properties come through this year. I knew TWD would return (Universal would have been stupid not to bring it back) and wasn't upset about the street experience being completely devoted to it.

Did the event live up to my expectations? Not really but it never was really going to. Was I impressed by the sets and have fun? Absolutely.

I went on Sunday and luckily it didn't rain other then an hour before opening. I had express so I stayed in the streets a lot. Those lines were as insane as ever and I wasn't willing to wait in them even if it said 30 minutes. Nearly every time I passed the actual line it looked a lot longer then the posted slot. So I kind of took my time, walking in at 7 (That Broncos & Cowboys game!) after hanging out at Citywalk and having a lot of time to kill when I knew I could just walk in to all of the houses most of the time.

Note: I'm probably a scareactors worst nightmare other then a drunk that gets defensive over being scared. It is nearly impossible to make me jump at these events no matter how many diversions you throw at me. This was the third year in a row that no one got me at this event in the houses or on the street. Tthey tried hard so bravo. Scareactors got way closer to my face then usual which was cool. I was impressed with the energy of the casts in most houses even though once again someone popping out just doesn't do it for me. I walked through most houses without a massive conga line too. The scare factor didn't detract from the event because I wasn't going for that reason to begin with. Plus I could easily see why people do get scared in these houses.

*Obvious Spoilers & A Long Review*

The Houses (in order of which I did first):

Evil Dead:

Probably my favorite at the event. I was a big fan of the remake and they really nailed the movie as close as possible. I wasn't sure how well they could really pull off the transitions from the cabin to the woods and back but they nailed it.

What I liked:
The awesome book pages facade
The voiceover as you walked in from the original
How they pulled off the reading the chant scene. The first person woods shot from the movie was perfectly placed in front of Eric.
The amount of scareactors in the house
The makeup and prosthetics (Looked a lot closer to the actors in the movie then the walkthroughs I've watched since in the house)
Most of the score from the movie being utilized
That we got real actors instead of dummies for some of the key scenes
The gore factor of the movie being mostly intact
All of the audio from the movie
The burning cabin scene

What I didn't like:
The blood rain was kind of tame compared to what I was expecting. It would be pretty easy not to realize that was what it was in that scene. It just felt like the soft mist that blows in front of a fan that you get in lines at amusement parks on hot days. It would have been cool to see actual rain in the distance from both sides under a red light that guests couldn't walk to accompanied by much stronger mist.

The air raid in the score not being nearly as apparent. I didn't hear it in the house, but did hear it once in one of the walk throughs but only for a few moments. I understand that the house is only a limited time so everyone is going to hear different parts of the score walking through but they seriously should have placed that part of the score over the burning cabin scene and just kept replaying it there. I remember last year people complained the air raid in Silent Hill wasn't as loud as it should have been but I thought it was perfect. This house had urgency but I think that score could have made this even more immersive and I thought it would show up a lot because it was a huge part of the remake.

Overall: 9/10

Havoc: Derailed

I caught this right at a set change so the scareactors from one of the casts went right up to our line as we were entering the house as they were leaving. It was pretty cool, but very short and repetetive. I didn't have high expectations anyway. Beyond the opening set this was one of the few houses that felt like a Howl O Scream house.

What I liked:
The opening control room
The overall set designs before the derailment
The energy of the scareactors

What I didn't like:
The audio of the que video being completely overpowered by The Rocky Horror Picture show. I would have sat in the express line and watched it more but I could barely hear it. What I did see with the newscasters looked really cool and was classic Horror Nights stuff. Shame it was placed here.

For supposedly being on a train at the beginning, I didn't feel like it at all.

The derailment scene. Being a DJ I'm pretty used to bright strobe lights flashing in my face and thought this was pretty weak. This reminded me a lot of the train scene in Taste Of Blood at Howl O Scream a few years back and I thought it would be pulled off a lot better then a few bright lights and a train horn which is exactly what they did here.

Not really much to this house after that happens other then a bunch of super soldiers jumping out at you.

Very short and generic sets after the crash.

Overall: 5.5/10

La Llorona
Man what a letdown, this was no where near what Hollywood pulled off from the walk throughs I've seen of their versions. This was cool that it was a tent house but there wasn't much memorable about it. It once again felt like something you could experience at most Haunted attractions but with some really expensive sets.

What I liked:
The awesome facade, voiceover outside and visual projection on the church.
The detail of the sets was incredible for a tent house.
The bridge scene with the kids bodies in the moving river was awesome.

What I didn't like:
Overlooking the sets, the whole thing felt repetetive unlike Hollywoods in telling the story.

There wasn't nearly enough scareactors in certain rooms. (this was a problem with the whole event)

Obviously no giant La Llorona props eating children like Hollywood had. Missing a lot of the best creature designs they came up with.

The audio of the whole thing felt lacking too, I don't remember hearing any children crying.

The transition under water was a few blue sheets. I expected more effects here and there reallly wasn't that many on display in the whole house.

The ending scene which was about is generic as it gets. If that was the creepiest La Llorona was going to look, meh.

Overall 6/10

After Life: Deaths Vengeance

Probably biased here because I usually don't like 3D houses and can't even remember The In Between. The Christmas lights scene in Penn & Taylor was the coolest thing I saw at the event last year though and I really liked that house....but this one not so much. I had no expectations going in, so I wasn't surprised when I walked out thinking it was a waste of time. I would have been pissed had I waited more then 10 minutes for this.

What I liked:
The facade was pretty cool
The headlines scene I guess

What I didn't like:
Everything else

The sets and creatures were generic.

The house didn't do a good job telling the story after the headlines scene. But I guess those are Bobby the Blades victims after you walk through that. I really didn't care.

The laser lights were distracting. Those lights are pretty cheap and used in a lot of low budget clubs. Seriously you used to be able to buy something very similar to those red and green spinning dot lights at Spencers Gifts before the EDM scene blew up.

I didn't even feel disoriented here and once again this whole house lacked scareactors. If they were there, they were easy to see coming.

In my case, this house was a case of overkill. Whether it be HHN or Howl O Scream this felt like something I've already seen a lot before right up to the prison theme, standard execution scene and that same tunnel both parks use.

Overall: 2/10

Resident Evil: Escape From Racoon City
Even after watching one of the walk throughs before attending, I still thought this was really cool. Thought it was more of a reto house and a good representation of the game. Definitely better then Silent Hill last year. But the same reoccuring problem happened at the end here with only one scareactor in the final room.

What I liked:
The opening facade was once again incredible
The sound effects for Leons gun was way louder then the videos showed.
That they added another zombie in this scene.
The dog scene. They changed the way it pops out and it was a lot more like the puppets in American Werewolf In London then "dog on a stick". Only its face (mouth open) comes through the clothes and it works a lot better.
The Nemesis animatronic head was a cool effect and reminded me a lot of IOA Jurassic park
The whole Jill and Nemesis scene. Love how loud Nemesis gun is.
The pause scene (even if I was rushed through it). Awesome detail and cool sound effects
The RPD set design and sound fx in the final scene

What I didn't like:
A lot of generic zombies in this (though not horrible scenes) and not enough creatures from the game.

Way too much fog in certain scenes. I completely missed the giant licker on the wall in the Nemesis and Jill scene until I watched a black and white video. That looked really cool but I couldn't see it and noticed a lot of videos missed it.

The final scene had one zombie scaractor in it. Nemesis was completely missing. As goofy as his costume was judging by the videos (and this is kind of inexcusable looking at how well Japan did him), this was dumb and there needed to be more people here. I wish Jill or Claire would have shown up again.

Very very short house. (But knew this coming in)

Overall: 7/10

The Cabin In The Woods
This was my most anticipated house going in, and the movie was one of my favorites of 2012. I'm a huge horror movie buff and this house was extremely true to it but didn't live up to my expectations. Once again I'm not sure how they ever really could have, and they did a great job with certain scenes. The monsters they chose were great but it felt like there could have been more with how much selection there was and how much empty space there was here. The huge problem of the event loomed again here with very few scareactors in big rooms. Anyways still one of the best houses of the event and a lot of fun to walk through (but not fun to walk to or from lol). I also missed the que video because the express lane doesn't get near it which sucks.

What I liked:
The opening facade was stunning
Jules headless body against the tree
The set design in the cabin was extremely well done and spot on with the movie
The costumes and makeup for the Buckners
The video screen with the operator throughout (classic Universal here)
The transition from the cabin to the facility (even though it might be confusing to people who haven't seen the movie)
The screens in the facility with all the monsters from the movie on them invading, even though it goes so quick
The cubes room although I wish the cubes had been smaller and more monsters represented
Hell Lord (both times I went through the scareactor did something different which was cool including his exact pose from the movie)
The Dolls cube
All the throwbacks to past HHN's in the final room with some really cool props

What I didn't like:
The elevator scene...I went through this house twice and get what they were going for here but this just doesn't work as well as it should. I love the gore factor and how it looks just like the movie. The problem is this room is huge and only 2 scareactors occupy it (after the doors open) other then the zombie eating body parts to the wall on the left. Not to mention both times I walked through it, I had to stall for a good 10 seconds to even catch the 2 doors opening. And then when they finally do, its just two scareactors. If they were going for a timed effect, which they seem to be they should have had the lights go out right before the doors open, strobes come on and way more scareactors emerge then that. I don't even remember there being an elevator sound effect when it happens which made the scene in the movie so memorable. More doors should open then 2...I mean, there was so many monsters A&D could have chosen to make this room epic but it just feels lame the way it is now. Its like walking through an empty room if you have bad timing and even if you catch it, its not enough to feel like its lacking. If they couldn't have had more scaractors to pull off the elevator effect, static props should have been here with the lights constantly going on and off with way more bodies laying all over the place. That was the movie.

The amount of strobe lights and fog in both cube rooms...I get it, they want guests to be disoriented..but by doing this they sacrifice being able to see what monsters are in certain cubes unless you stop which Universal of course doesn't want you to do. I missed the Ballerina both times walking through because there is a light that flashes that made her impossble to see when you walk in. There are only 4 monsters that are easy to see in both rooms. I missed Jack until watching a walk through video too. And if you watch the POV videos, a lot of people filming miss whats in the cubes too besides the ones where they are more visible like The Dolls. I couldn't see The Thing prop until the second time walking through.

Both of those things take down what easily could have been my favorite house of the event because they are a major part of it.

Also like every house except TWD, it's too short

Overall: 8.5/10

An American Werewolf In London
This was strongly propped up as one of the best houses of all time and best in show before the event, and it definitely is good but your experience completely relies on timing like The Thing house did in 2011. I literally watched this movie right before getting in the car to head to Universal and there is so much this house gets right and then theres just one major scene it gets wrong. And its because of the same problem as the entire event had, a lack of scareactors in a huge room. The puppets are extremely cool but you have to catch them, or stop to wait to see them or they just look like props...which once again I had to do and I walked through this house twice. The first time I completely missed the scene of the werewolf eating Jack. It's definitely one that I'll remember for a long time just like the ones from 2007 that I still hold dear memories of regardless and deserves it's praise.

What I liked:
The Slaughtered Lamb facade was beautiful
So was the bar inside
The detail all throughout was completely true to the movie
The sound effects and music throughout
The werewolf eating Jack if you get to catch it
The wolf puppets are as close to the movie as remotely possible
The transformation scene with the music playing
The porn theater scene (and yes, the screen was blank now)
The closing with Blue Moon playing as you left

What I didn't like:
What was in the woods area besides the wolf eating Jack scene? I couldn't tell and looked closely. Was it just nothing? (doesn't detract from score)

Timed scares..I understand this house has to rely on it with the puppets but with the lines as long as they are, there is a better chance of getting rushed through and missing them. And I went through it twice at different times in the night and had to stop both times to catch the wolf come alive everytime. People said they hated The Thing house in 2011 because of this which also relied on animatronic timed scares yet universally praise this house which I don't necessarily understand (as far as the hatred for the The Thing house..I understand why people like this).

The porn theater scene..Another scene that had a lack of scareactors. Only Jack jumped up while everything else is a dummy. The scene in the movie contains so many more dead victims. The detail in the room itself is great but there should be more then just be one person occupying it. *And I missed the wolf both times walking through or did not remember it at the end.

Piccadilly Circus..Man this room was a huge WTF moment for me. Like the Cabin In The Woods elevator scene I just don't understand why they chose to do this. There is 2 scareactors in this entire area and once again it's huge. One is just a red shirted girl and the other is a cop who doesn't do anything but beep at you. It's like walking through a set of a movie which is cool but this felt completely empty. This is not how the movie was during this scene. This is what people who harp about having IPs at the event complain about. Literally nothing happened in this room other then that one scareactor jumping out in the bus or running outside of it. And what was she even doing? The movie doesn't feature zombies but thats what the red shirted girl looks like. When I went through this, she was not in the bus but running around trying to grab people. Did Universal just think that hey we have them everywhere else this year, why not throw one in here...lol.

The wolf should have been there instead of being huddled into a very small area at the very end of the house. The alley made sense but it just didn't make the conclusion as epic as it could have been. And once again you have to have the right timing for it or the puppet just sits there. I also didn't see David get shot like some claimed.

Overall: 8/10

The Walking Dead: No Safe Haven
Wow the regular line for this was super long. It stretched all the way back to the entrance of ET...which kind of ruined it for me because I couldn't stop as much in this house as the others. Not to mention I had already watched a lot of walk throughs so knew what was coming. I enjoyed it but in this case the walk through actually made it seem better then what it really was. And I was really looking forward to this. I think I hit it at a bad time because there was a massive lack of scareactors in it and that happened to me last year, when I went in the first house. The second time around was much better so I have a feeling this could have improved but there was no way I was waiting in that line to do this again.

What I liked:
The facade was fucking awesome and extremely faithful to the show
The makeup and prosthetics are not noticable in the house
The guy shooting isn't screaming anymore, and I still love the interactive element that scene gives this house.
The Governers room is so detailed and awesome in person
The Penny crouching area, they definitely get right in your face
The prison yard and guard tower looked sick in person but there was no blue light like I've seen in other videos of it so it was really hard to see that white car. Without the lights it looked more realistic though.
The interactive phone with audio and the Lorie dummie in the area (even though its not as easy to see with the fog again)
The complete reconstruction of the prison cell block C (even though you have to look back to truly appreciate it)

What I didn't like:

Being rushed through this house more then the others due to the line (doesn't detract from the score)

The cage in the facade outside was missing walkers.

Complete lack of scareactors in all of this.

Repetitiveness of the same music in this house playing throughout the park when they had so much more to choose from. (I never heard The pulse anywhere and thats the best theme of season 3).

And yes, repetetiveness of walkers, and this coming from a huge TWD fan.

This house really needed the characters from the show in it and not just Meryl. And it makes no sense because you can't walk for more then 10 minutes in any scarezone without hearing the theme from the show.

The prison fenced area had maybe 3-4 scareactors behind the fence for yet another huge area lacking people. They turned the lights off in this room to make this less noticable but this problem is still very much there. This is not how the show is, that area should have been surrounded.

The walker that was supposed to be beside the white car was MIA.

The big final Cell Block C room lacked scareactors again, there was maybe 2-3 and they weren't doing much.

Overall: 6.5/10

The Streets:
Pretty much where I spent most of my time. I loved the Atlanta area and the scenes they would put on along with the machine gun effect overhead. The farm was such an awesome recreation and much bigger then I thought in person. Michonnes pets in the Woodlands area took me by surprise. Bicycle Girl was missing that night (I got someone to break character and they finally nodded yes). The walker truck was cool and the funniest thing was by the freeway zone and seeing walkers approach people with there backs turned and get them good. A lot of walkers weren't afraid to get up in my face. I had to lean back so I wouldn't hit them with my hat. The neon signs of Clear was really awesome as were the props but the scareactors were walking around instead of staying static on them.

The problem is a lot of the other areas just served as photo ops like the campground (although that tent scene is cool) and the deer eating walker. I was really hoping to see more survivors fighting back besides the walker van. Like in Woodbury...that area served no purpose other then to put that truck. Didn't see much happening there all night, the alley was empty behind it. And I remember the Lady Luck scarezone there 2 years ago.

SInce I already wrote so much on the houses, not going to spend a lot of time here. I liked the music of the show being utilized but a lot of it felt repetitive and the main theme playing over and over again was cool at first but got old. I wanted to hear more of the scores the show had but most areas featured the same ones.

Bottom line: If you love TWD, you'll probably like the experience. I will say a lot of the makeup and prosthetics looked a lot better in person and the walkers blended in well with normal people.

Overall: 7.5/10

And thats it. Pretty easy to see my main problem with the event this year was the lack of scareactors in big rooms in the major houses. I still had a really good time and can't wait to be back next year. The most memorrable houses to me were Evil Dead, Cabin In The Woods, An American Werewolf In London and Resident Evil. It was definitely a massive improvement over last year. Will probably hit Howl O Scream this weekend since I haven't been in awhile. Until next time, Happy Halloween folks!

Overall Event: 8/10

Why do you like IPs over originals? How many years have you gone? By bringing TWD to the entire event they oversatured this year with generic zombies and killed off potentially quality ambience, content, and scare zones. And, it's sad that (speaking about this year) the best we can say is, "Sets were good" rather than "Great acting, fantastic prosthetic and makeup work, great sound, excellent scare zones, etc."

Agreed. Agreed. Agreed.

Yep. It just felt stale. The set, in my opinion, looked really fake, too.

Thanks for reading dude! I'll respond to all those

I always just have. I'm a huge horror movie buff and love to see the movies brought to life if done properly. The first year I attended was HHN V - The Curse of the Crypt Keeper and thats when they had Midway of The Bizarre where Jaws used to be. I think I was only 10-12 at the time.

After it took me a while to come back., so years I've attended:

Halloween Horror Nights: Tales Of Terror
Halloween Horror Nights: Carnival Of Carnage
Halloween Horror Nights 20: Twenty Years Of Fear
Halloween Horror Nights: No One Beats The House
Halloween Horror Nights 2012
Halloween Horror Nights: What Evil Takes Root

I like some of the original houses but definitely not all of them. I didn't understand the praise for Gothic or Dead End last year, it was great sets again but not really anything I hadn't seen before. The year that everyone loves so much I can't even remember past the Hallow'd Past house. My favorite original house was probably Body Collectors at Tales Of Terror and I've never seen Universal hit the set recreation of "Where Evil Hides". I don't think I remember going up stairs in any other house except for that one. It truly felt like a studio house.

I loved 2007 for Dreamwalkers, Dead Silence & The Thing. Hated Friday The 13th so I don't love all IPs. I didn't get a chance to do Texas Chainsaw that year because of the super fucking long line for Camp Blood.

I didn't like TWD house last year much, in fact I hated it the first time I walked through it. It took a second time when it was much more filled out to change my opinion slightly of it. I also was underwhelmed by Silent Hill and went through twice.

I've also done Howl O Scream so many times that Uiniversal and Busch Gardens can only come up with so many original ideas before it's all a case of been there, done that. With Howl O Scream especially. With IPs, they might get it a bit wrong due to budget restraints (like Cabin In The Woods and the elevator scene) but I find it a lot more memorable overall.

I do agree with the set design comment but thats why I come a lot of years but it would be nice if they filled more people into them. I think the sound was still very good thiis year. Prostethics and makeup compared to years past? Yeah you got me there.

When I walked through the actual dog that moves was handled really well. It looked just like a puppet popping out in AWIL and looked real. Maybe it was the person controlling it doing a good job (not referring to the static one). I'm not comparing the puppet to the level of detail the puppets in AWIL have, just that the movement was similar and believable.

I was referring to the Nemesis head in the wall that pops out surrounded by smoke before you hit the actual Jill and Nemesis room.

I thought the machine gun was loud (it sounding fake didn't bother me) but yeah the costome was really really bad by Universals standards. it didn't look as horrible when he was standing from a distance but absolutely no excuse.

Yes it did, it definitely did not look like Piccadilly Circus, it looked like a bunch of props thrown randomly into a room. I was hoping the backdrop would have been the buildings like with the Coca Cola sign, etc. Once again, expected more from Universal.

Body Collectors is my favorite house, and Where Evil Hides (like you said) was extremely realistic. I remember the closet you walked into with clothes on both sides. Great choices!

If I could design it, I would use that massive logo as the entrance. Have a long walk up through a detailed forest (where machines move bushes in the forest to make you wonder if someone is there). Walk up to the foggy cabin, have him reading it. Then have the outbreak, then go from room to room in the movie where each kill took place. If you, for example (I don't remember the movie sequence) had a kill in the living room, and later on another thing happens in the living room, then be creative and make fake scenes that allow you to expand the cabin and bring you back to the living room again (have it more disheleved than before, take liberty). The vine rape, if even necessary (it wasn't graphic enough b/c of the PC crowd), should take place with the Blood Rain section. Do something where you'd leave a burning cabin the way you walked by fire in The Orfanage.

This is a very fair point man! I still wonder why they didn't use an actor. What decision went into that? "Well, we need a man to look frantic, panicked, and hopefully interact. Let's use a still dummy."

Thanks for being cool with my criticism. I agreed with a lot of your points and you opened my eyes with what you posted here. Thanks for posting the review, too!

Yeah man, it was great. Where Evil Hides also hid Michael Myers in one of those opening hallways before you went upstairs ;). Definitely remember the closet scene. The amazing thing about that house is there was absolutely no line that year, we walked right in. Seriously not one other person except the attendant was standing outside.

No problem dude, I appreciate your thoughts!

I could easily see it being a problem for you guys if you just stand there on the props but I'm sure you get those who pose for a photo op good! I found all of the areas very photo op prone which I can see some people having a problem with especially if they don't like TWD.

I really wanted to see more surviovors fighting back.

I am really glad at least one more person noticed how big and empty some rooms are. I was starting to think I was the only one and I was just being too Picky or something.

Some rooms definitely feel empty, I totally agree. Bigger sets were nice but I still prefer closer, smaller sets. OR they should double their staff if they were planning on making big rooms. Bigger rooms would have been nice if they had more stuff going on.

I do agree that the elevator room in Cabin could have had more actors. Or if they couldn't have more actors in that room they should have had more puppets and mannequins. I mean, they could have had the room filled with creatures.

I Also agree about the cubes being smaller, I think I posted that before too. The cubes should have been smaller and they should have had more monsters in them. Like I Said, I am glad at least another person noticed this.

They did fix Resident Evil, I saw more actors so I was really happy about that.

The final scene had one zombie scaractor in it. Nemesis was completely missing. As goofy as his costume was judging by the videos (and this is kind of inexcusable looking at how well Japan did him), this was dumb and there needed to be more people here. I wish Jill or Claire would have shown up again.

They can fit up to 3 zombie in there and usually have 2, so either people were missing or something went wrong when you entered. I think Nemesis may have been having an issue, as the one I was with on Friday had to leave early due to some kind of problem.

Lack of a Nazi werewolf room. They really could have nailed that room and had you walk through an area designed to look like the living room he sees in his nightmare with the TV on and put the Nazi werewolfs there instead of having one just randomly popping out with a dummy David. (this doesn't detract from my score of the house, just feel it was a missed opportunity)

The porn theater scene..Another scene that had a lack of scareactors. Only Jack jumped up while everything else is a dummy. The scene in the movie contains so many more dead victims. The detail in the room itself is great but there should be more then just be one person occupying it.

There IS the living room in the house, complete with two Nazis (one with a submachine gun and one with a knife who has three different booholes to pop out of). Also, there's a live victim with a scare in the theater and a werewolf. If you didn't even see the living room dream (let alone the actors), I'm starting to wonder if you even entered the house yourself.

I was referring to the Nemesis head in the wall that pops out surrounded by smoke before you hit the actual Jill and Nemesis room.

That's a Licker. It got its tongue cut off by a guest early in the run.

Sorry was occupied with other things the last few days and just revisited the forum.

Yeah man, it must have been that. There was only one person in that entire room when I walked through. I looked for Nemesis to come out of the area to the left when you first walk in and it was completely empty. The rest of the house had everyone where they were when I watched the walk through, so I'm not sure what happened.

Really? Wow your right. That scene didn't happen when I walked through twice. Either that or I didn't remember it. I just watched another walk through, and the Nazi werewolf only appeared in the hospital room just like it happened when I walked through in the house both times. There was only one, I don't remember anyone coming out with a gun like that. Fuck, I'll remove that from above. I just remember going from the hospital room to the transformation scene.

I can say for sure there was only one scaractor that was playing Jack in that room. I see the wolf in the walk through at the end of that room and once again, due to timed scares, either I missed it both times going through or had to stop to see it so didn't remember it.. so that really sucks.

I definitely really went man. My wallet can attest for it lol

Thanks for letting me know about these scenes so I could go back and watch the walk through of this one.

And damn I totally thought that was Nemesis, that sucks about the prop though.

Yeah I completely agree dude. I think they could have done so much more with the elevator room which made it a letdown but oh well. Glad Resident Evil was fixed! I only had enough money to attend once.

I kind of felt the way you did about La Llorona the first time saw it though it was my second house before 7pm so it might have had a lot of daylight sneaking in or effects not working.

But the transition scene was amazing the second time i went through it. They pumped lots of fog into the room that worked with the lighting to make it feel like you're being submerged. And then the actors come from behind the sheets to scare the crap out of you.
