Shadowlurker have you heard anything? maybe we should all e-mail VIP tours and ask them, if they get enough people asking early enough maybe they will bring it back. It's a good way for the fans to see the detail they put into the houses, and enjoy some one on one with the A&D Team. Sure beats the whole LT thing. Anyone know how much they charged for it in years past?? the first year they only took us through 2 houses and no picture taking, the second year they took us though 3 houses and were allowed to take pictures. and the 3rd year the was 3 houses and a museum and the last year they had 2 tours a 2 hour tour and a 3 hour tour. the short tour was only the 3 houses and the museum, the longer tour was the same as the short one but added 1 hour Q&A with TJ and his creative team which was more like 3 hours. we have done the tour every year they have offered it Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I suggest everyone call guest relations 407-224-4233 and complain nicely. and I would Email Bill Davis the park presedent at Bill.Davis@universalorlando.com and let him know how you feel about them taking away one of the best tours they have ever done. JPH Posted August 11, 2009 Share Posted August 11, 2009 (edited) I'm still hodling out hope for UTH even though the closer we get without hearing about it, the chances are slim. It seems like there are some inconsistencies depending on whether you call or speak to VIP tours in person. A lot of people that said they called have been told a straight out "No" for some time now, but I've asked several times in person pretty recently and every time it's that they haven't heard one way or another. I'm not sure if it well do any good. but maybe if he gets enough e-mails maybe he will look into our complaint, and tell the SVP of operations to to allow VIP tours to bring back the UTH tours. just so you guys know I tried to do this e-mail campaign with out blasting it on the boards as I thought it would have a better result. but I was wrong. so that is why I posted the president of USO e-mail hear. They are still talking about what they may do this year. He said “we have created several different versions of “add-on” HHN experiences, with some being more popular than others. Although finances are usually an issue with such experiences. We also strive to insure our efforts to produce such experiences meet a worthy demand”. Kitty Posted August 13, 2009 Share Posted August 13, 2009 I JUST got off the phone with the Guest Services dept. and they said that as of this morning they will officially be planning the UTH tour for this year. I called back and spoke to a different person and he ALSO confirmed that he was advised this morning that they will be having the tour this year. I just want to thank everyone else who has harrassed Guest Services like I know!! YAYYYYY UTH!!!!! I know that I'll be doing it Saturday Sept. 26th if the offer it (since I'll only be at the event the 25th and 26th) so if anyone wants to join me PLEASE let me know. UPDATE: I called just to double check and the person did say they would be offering it this year, but they do not have any info yet and to call back in a couple of weeks. HHN fan Posted August 14, 2009 Author Share Posted August 14, 2009 I received a phone call from the general manager of VIP tours today and was told the tour is going to be back, and I was also told she will call me back when the pricing has been determinded. so of course I will let you all know once I have been called. I think my e-mail to the SVP or operations helped this to come about, as I told him the museum is cool , but IMHO we could do without it and they could just have the consept art and floor plans out in the reception area were we got to see the video 2 years ago, before the tour. I don't know if this will be the modification to the tour, but I will be ok with it as long as we get to tour some of the houses. that was what was most important to me.
