  1. So at the moment, there are 5 IP's and I hope it stays that way. On a side note, rumor has it they lost The Conjuring...again.
  2. You know... that Cabana Bay photo looks very Stranger Things-y. Or it could just be Florida thunderstorms...but I'll go with ST
  3. Stranger Things, X-Files, Penny Dreadful, AHS, Black Mirror and Roseanne: Relapse
  4. I'm hearing it's possible we may just get two originals this year(on track from original thoughts) because although records were broken with attendance(because of the amount of days, not attendance per day), it's not what they were expecting. This doesn't make sense to me, because the original houses were mostly the highest rated, but in order to get the people in the door, it could be IP central. Luckily the rumored IP's are solid.
  5. I was connecting the dots from an 80's perspective and it would be pretty dark if they had a happy, colorful, 80's feel to to the marketing and the event as a whole.
  6. We will get a mash-up of monsters here(so far). It being "original" is subjective, but they may use that term to describe it since it's not considered an "IP" like we would see it today.
  7. I'm not sure if they're going to be "universal classic monsters," but there will be a mashup of monsters(not exactly sure from where) in one of the houses.
  8. The Universal franchise it is getting replaced with was rebooted and yes it is action packed.
  9. This could be a disaster idea, but what if they made a giant inflatable one that was barely seen because of constant lightning flashes behind it? I think the fans might be too loud to keep it up, but I could imagine it looking solid if they lit it right.
  10. I can confirm one of the originals. And actually, it's not technically "original."
  11. From the horses mouth. It’s not definite, but it was in passing conversation. However, I can’t tell you the horse...source...of course.
  12. There will not be 10 houses this year. That is unless they add an upcharge house.
  13. From what I've accidentally heard, if there were seven IP's, that would throw off the ratio from the total number of houses in regard to originals vs. IP's, compared to past years.
  14. I think they need to start with the Byers' house so they don't blow their load on the opening scene. Leave some build up for a crazy epic ending. Because it's not like you can go BACK to Hawkins lab once you've already gone through it. I don't think it has to do with eleven since he says "a number chosen to confuse, while knowing the guess you would use.
  15. That would be a dream year for me. I'm ok with a little IP here and there especially if they're as solid as those two. And if they want to add more IP's, put them in the streets! I'd also not be surprised to see a Strangers house this year.
  16. There is definitely the possibility of a great house in there, because it’s been proven with the tent houses. However, the amount of forest, the size of the facilities, and the overall extent of the story, would be best served in a soundstage house
  17. If we get Stranger Things, they would be doing the event a MASSIVE disservice by putting that house in that tent
  18. I think they should make a comedy house based on B&T, where you're time traveling to different eras of horror and the entrance to each room is a phone booth with flashes, to represent you've landed at a new location. You could have those two getting into a lot of trouble and it would be fun(ny). As far as an SNL show, I've been advocating for that for awhile. I originally thought the plan was to make Twister into a permanent SNL location, but alas it's a mediocre ride. I'm all for it and I believe they will make it funny for ALL ages and include some references from old SNL episodes. As far as adding more live entertainment, my hope is that the new Bourne attraction will include an element of live action like it's predecessor.
  19. This would also fall in line with the fact they know the IP Houses before the rest.
  20. Our parade building IS indeed going away and I can't be more happy about it. Oh this. ALL of this. This would be such a cool house and they'd be able to utilize a ton of bungees for the swooping vampires overhead. The snow, the blood, so cool. I agree with all of those except for The Conjuring. Why no Conjuring? The WB lot in Burbank apparently has an amazing IT experience during Halloween, so who knows if they'll let Universal get their hands on it. Also, I've heard Animal Actors is going to get the axe for Nintendo, but taking away all of the kid-friendly experiences before replacing them with other kid-friendly experiences, isn't exactly the smartest idea. An expansion to IOA would be extremely wise, especially if they want to adapt some sort of virtual line system for the houses. In my opinion, it was WAY too packed by 9PM each night for the event to even be enjoyable, so we would just go home. It's great that they are selling the tickets to break records, but they need a place to put the people and opening the other park would be just the trick. Also, if there were a time to increase the Original/IP ratio in favor of originals, it would be right now. With the amount of newcomers we had visit the park this year, I think they'd be just as inclined to come back for the overall experience than what's on the billboards. OR if they feel as if they're losing out on $ after removing some IP's from houses, they could make all of the scarezones IP related and the GP wouldn't know the difference. The Shining improved throughout the course of the run, but it was BY FAR not what it should have or could have been. I've been saying this since day one of walking through that house, but they needed a more grandiose approach, like they did with Dead Waters. It felt more like a claustrophobic house than anything else, which is an idea, but in my opinion, not one that should be implemented for a film that makes you feel like it's location is too vast to see the end in sight.
  21. I asked this in the B&T thread but I have a feeling it might get overlooked, so I'm trying it here as well: Does anyone know what's happening with the final night and final show of B&T? They can't possibly let a giant crowd of people camp outside of the venue, so are they handing out tickets?

  23. I thought Ouija wasn't included? Are there other hidden Blumhouse films in this one?
  24. The Forsaken!!!!#%*%#)$#)(#%T^JWGPDSIU!!!!
  25. What I'm disappointed in is the fact TWO people said "Devil's Advocate" and NOBODY said "pun intended."
