  1. Beautiful scarezone, especially when it got dark. Do not underestimate it in terms of scariness - the first time I went through, Thursday night, I was the only person in the zone for a few seconds, and several of them came after me. The black figures running out of the curtains got me really good, and I saw them getting many scares from people. Also, watch out for the stilt walkers, they blend in well.
  2. I enjoyed this house, it was a good mix of fun and scary, and I got a decent amount of scares each time through. I was also lucky enough to catch the "float crashing" effect every time. However, I agree with Legacy, more of the zombies should've been loose instead of behind things. It would've made it much scarier. But it was still a solid house.
  3. This house was insane, and definitely ranks in my top three. Loud, intense, in your face... just downright scary. They almost had me on the floor at one point, I was scrambling to get out of some of those rooms. It really felt like you were trapped in a military facility with a bunch of super soldiers who could snap at any moment. I was particularly impressed with the tall scareactor who seemed to have some sort of armor on. He came out of nowhere and got right up in my face, he was very intimidating. I also got to see Cast A go on set Friday night, that was pretty cool. I do have one small complaint about this house, and that's the stupid plastic tubing hanging around everywhere. I would turn to look at something for a moment, then turn back around and get whacked in the face by one of those tubes. It was really annoying having to swat them out of the way, and I missed a couple of scares because I was distracted by them.
  4. I am not sure how I feel about this one. The facade and rooms were beautiful, but scares were hit or miss. I came through six times, had one really awesome run on Friday night, the rest were a mixed bag - sometimes I'd catch a lot of scares, other times, only one or two. BTW, I loved the red button scare. My first time through, I was looking for it, and I had this STUPID gaggle of young 20-something women behind me. They were screaming at every little thing at the top of their lungs, and it was obvious that they thought this was funny. It eventually reached a point where I was about to go off on them... and then I saw it. I looked behind me, waited for them to get within range, then... Me: ... >:3 *PUSH BUTAN* They screamed for REAL that time and glommed onto each other in their fright. Ah, sweet revenge.
  5. Without a doubt, this was my FAVORITE house this year. Loved everything about it- the old props, the rooms, the scares - everything! When I was making my second round through the houses with Express, I always saved this one for last. With the exception of one bad visit, I was never disappointed. I don't think there was a single room, save for Treaks, that didn't manage to scare me. The opening chainsaw guy ALWAYS got me (even though I knew he was there and the scare was coming), I got triple teamed twice in both the Alice and Frightanic rooms, and the DE rooms freaked me out because the actors blended in so well. Of course, my favorite thing was watching the Gentlemen do the spine ripping scene. I stopped to watch and clap for them whenever I could. Good stuff. I didn't get many scares from the icons in the finale, but I did see them all at some point and my favorite icon came at me twice - so I was content with that. Everyone that works this house does a fantastic job, keep up the good work.
  6. I really enjoyed this house. The facade was great, and while the rooms didn't make me feel like I was in the underworld, the abundance of scares certainly did! Great costumes too. My only real complaint is that all the hanging stuff got old very quickly... I got hit in the eyes twice with it. :/ Other than that, it was a good, solid house.
  7. This house was a delightful mix of scary, creepy, and disgusting. I mean, they cough and hack all over you. Gross. D: I was not impressed with my first time through, as my timing was off and I missed most of the scares. I came back Friday night during Stay and Scream, and ended up being completely alone in the house. They took complete advantage, I was screaming and ducking for cover all over the place. The creepiness of the plague doctors and the horrible sounds they were making made this a very scary experience (don't even get me started on the finale, holy shit). I went through six more times over the weekend and it was great every single time. Do not miss this house, and if you hit it at a bad time, come back and try it again.
  8. I LOVED the atmosphere in this house, from the flecks of ash falling down as you entered (awesome!), to the warmth and smogginess inside. It felt more dark and sad to me than scary, though the actors in this house put forth a pretty good effort. Like others have said, they could have done with a few more hiding places, and maybe a few more actors to fill in the dead spots. This wasn't one of my favorite houses, but it wasn't terrible (none of them were, really). BTW, I had someone in a ...fox?... mask single me out twice in the crib room. I don't remember which cast, but I wondered if they were a Nightmare.
  9. This house had an amazing atmosphere. The music and sound effects were creepy, the sets were gorgeous, and it had some amazing special effects (I loved the ghost in the wall, very effective). Some of the costumes were really creative too (the chair scared the crap out of numerous people and the statue got me really good). However, timing was a big issue with the scares here, and if you didn't hit it at the right time, you'd miss almost everything. My luck with the timing was terrible, so I only got a few good scares. Beautiful house though.

  11. made it home safely, but took a bit of the Plague home with her. She's now sick with a cold. At least it didn't happen during vacation.

  13. Sunday, 10/10, was my last night at HHN, and it was as amazing as all the rest. My dearest thanks goes out to all the scareactors I met this weekend, you made this Nightmare's first HHN a memorable one, and I assure you... I WILL be back someday. Here's one last round of "appreciation", sorry for the wall of text. Hallow'd Past, Cast A Usher - I just want you to know that was a heart I made at you... not a rude hand gesture. Thanks for sticking around long enough for me to see you, and I hope I didn't creep you out or anything. Julian is my favorite. In the same vein, most of my trips through Hallow'd Past were Cast A, and I only had one bad trip through... the rest were all amazing. Nice job guys. My "favorite" CDTer... you didn't even have to rev the saw this time, I heard my name being called and I was like "bye!" LOL Catacombs, Cast B - one of the "peckers" (hee hee) near the end growled "Nightmares" at me, thank you for the shout out. Fear Revealed - Chance (not sure which cast) came up to me with her little knife and wanted to play a game, insisting that "only one of us will die!" That was unnerving, nice job. Cast B's Director and Eddie got me again before the night was over. FEAR, Cast B - I stood and admired him for several minutes before closing time. He came over, got really close (through some miracle, I stood my ground), circled me a bit and then swept his hand over my head before moving on. He is freaky, but it's pretty cool to get some attention from the event icon. I gave him a bow before leaving. 20 Years of Fear, both casts - <333333333333333 Of everything at HHN, I am going to miss you all the most. I had SO much fun in your zone and met some really cool scareactors. Keep up the good work, and thank you. Oh, and to the Wolfman who caught me as I was leaving... thanks for returning the heart I made at you. My vision got a bit "blurry" after that. I hate goodbyes.
  14. is getting ready to fly out tomorrow. Thank you everyone for making my first HHN awesome. <3

  15. Last full day in Orlando. Bittersweet... it will be fun, but I'll miss it terribly.

  16. *blush* Sorry... all I saw was a big dude headed in my direction. It had to be one of you two Of course I sped up, I saw trouble coming. LOL. Thanks for the shout out <3
  17. Had yet another wonderful night at HHN. Some highlights... Hallow'd Past, Cast A, Usher - <3333 Thank you sooo much for that scare my first time through. I know I just got lucky, but I was dying for some attention from my favorite icon and I finally got it. Please forgive my exhuberant "Julian! " upon seeing you, I was really happy. Fear Revealed, Cast A, Usher - saw me watching Fear and snuck in for the scare. Thanks, that made me smile FEAR, Cast B - Jesus. H. Christ. He scared the hell out of me. I find this character as fascinating as he is scary, so I wander into Fear Revealed every now and then to gawk at him from afar. I made the mistake of getting a little too close tonight. He looked in my direction, started to approach, I was like "oh crap" and started to retreat, he kept coming, catching up to me in seconds. I just shut down and hid my face in my hands, eventually peeking out to see him standing INCHES away, staring down at me. I am going to be seeing that in my nightmares. Chainsaw Drill Team - Fate hates me. I walked out of Hades after SnS, saw you heading on set and nearly had a heart attack. I tried going on the sidewalks to avoid you all and you STILL managed to get me. Then, as I was leaving Hades for the second time that night, I ran into you heading off set and you got me AGAIN. You are so mean... but you're good scareactors. 20 Years of Fear - <3333 Nothing but love for both casts. You guys are so much fun. Thanks for the "Stumpy" and "Nightmares" shout outs. Armyofrobots and his orc friend had me pinned against one of the prop shelves at one point, nice teamwork. Giant - pretty sure it was you that screamed "Stumpy! Get back here!" and chased me into the alley. Thanks for the shout out and scare!
  18. is getting ready for Stay and Scream. Only two more nights left. I'm gonna miss this so much. :(

  19. Okay, I've gotta know: where are you all finding the Usher in this house? I thought he was on cast A and I've been through a couple of times on their set, but have never been lucky enough to see him (and I've been searching thoroughly in the last scene). He is my favorite icon, so I really want to see him here. I did get to see all the other icons though (Jack and Eddie landed some nice scares on me). If you are the Usher and you see a long haired girl with an HNN shirt and blue backpack, come get me! It would make my night.
  20. To start with, thank you to everyone - scareactor and guest alike - for the HNN shout outs. Special thanks to the male patient in Psychoscareapy at the end who yelled something like "It's the nightmares!" as I was leaving. <3 Someone on Saws 'n Steam Cast A has an awesome snarl, you got me with it again tonight. More harassment from the Directors in Fear Revealed - I got three scares from them, bringing the total up to five. The last one was funny. I was watching Fear take pictures with people when some guy came over and was like "He has something to show you". I was like "Huh?" and turned to find the Director leaning over my shoulder. Startled me good. Thanks to invader_butters for the "welcome back" my second time through Zombiegeddon. To a certain CDTer... ugh, YOU AGAIN. I had managed to dodge you for most of the night and I thought I would be okay... I took a chance watching the CDT disperse and it bit me in the rear. I think you got a better reaction this time, I freak out when I get chased like that. D: Thanks for the shout out too. I had the privilege of going through Catacombs alone, Cast A. Thanks for all the scares - the best one was when I had two plague doctors get up in my face at once. Got me really good. Cast A (correct me if I'm wrong) in 20 Years of Fear pretty much made me their personal bitch tonight. I can count on one hand the number of times I went through and didn't get attacked by at least ONE person. I got ganged up on at least three times. Even the stilt walkers got in on it (the one from HHN13 actually chased me, and THAT was scary). It was crazy. I also had my most epic scare of the night here. I was going through, had a couple of scares, and then the cheerleader showed up (OMG, she followed me ALL NIGHT). Of course she started to follow me, I walked faster, Alice saw us and shouted "Run!" I ducked down instinctively. "That's not running, that's cowering!" The stilt walkers attempted to block me, but I dodged around them and started to leave. Unfortunately, I didn't see the chainsaw sneaking up behind me. He revved it, surprised me, and I bolted. He shouted after me. "THAT'S RUNNING!" LOL. You guys are merciless, but I really love your zone. You take many pictures with people, yet still manage to get a ton of scares. I always enjoy coming through, so thanks.
  21. is tired, but still had a good time at IOA today. Leaving for the Studios in a few.

  22. THIS. I understand what they're trying to do, but it really doesn't help when one of the groups has frightened people who stop dead in their tracks, causing the other groups to run into them. I missed a lot of scares last night because of that.
  23. Okay, first and foremost... I wanna know who the HELL that CDT guy was that came tearing after me near the end of the night (10/7). I was the girl with the long hair and blue backpack. He came charging at me with the saw and I scurried away, expecting him to back off. Nope, he stayed on me and I just took off running. He chased me out of the zone, yelling a bunch of stuff. I didn't catch most of it but I heard "Nightmare" a bunch of times and "I can't wait (something)". Whoever that was, thanks, that was the best scare I got all night. I got another good chainsaw scare from Giant, who charged at me screaming "I AM YOUR NIGHTMARE!" I ran from him only to get scared again by another chainsaw guy. lol. Also, thank you C_D (well, I think it was you) for the "Nightmares" shout out. Thanks to Cast A Zombiegeddon for the extra attention. I didn't get many scares in half of the houses so it was much appreciated. 20 Years of Fear, holy SHIT. I don't know what cast it was, but I went through several times and only had 2-3 trips through where I did NOT get attacked. I got a kick out of the Wolfman who got in front of me and kept blocking my attempts to get past him (and then mimicked my annoyance, LOL). Alice poked fun at me after she scared me and the bloody cheerleader went after me three times. Good times, I loved this zone and it is currently my favorite. Fear Revealed- Cast B Director chased me and came back to scare me again later. He creeps me out, so good job. Eddie sent me running at one point. The Caretaker tried to sneak up on me, but I caught him. lol Hmm... I think that's everyone. Thanks to all you scareactors for making my first night at HHN a memorable one. Can't wait to do it again Friday night!
  24. had a good first night at HHN. Chainsaws will be the death of me though D:

  25. had a fun day at HP and Universal, and is taking a brief break at the hotel before heading back out.
