  1. Someone on here, I think it was armyofrobots, was looking for a HHN 21 House shirt in Medium. If he should see this and still needs one, there's a brand new one on eBay right now: Link
  2. I've been watching eBay for a long time, but I thought I'd put my feelers out here too. I'm in search of a 2010 Staff t-shirt in the SMALL size. Doesn't matter if it's been worn or not, all I ask is that it's in good condition. PM me if you've got one and wanna work out a deal
  3. Merry Christmas, Nightmares! <3

  4. Happy Halloween, Nightmares. Enjoy yourselves tonight!

  5. Wow. I just got 9999 points on the new game and I'm pretty sure it gave me them all too. Jumped from 313k to 323k.
  6. Speaking of streets, I forgot to put this in my previous post, but I wanted to mention it: if you can, hang out in one of the streets between horde rotations because it's an amazing sight when it changes over to a new horde. I saw this with the Vampires during their last set on Saturday, in Hollywood. Everything was blue, quiet, and spooky. Then... BOOM Red light bathed the area. Snarls and screams split the fog. And the Vampires materialized from out of nowhere. They literally just appeared in every direction. I never saw the horde approach. You just had to be there. My jaw was hanging open.
  7. I have a feeling House of Horrors is going to take it this year. The GP love it. I heard many of them speaking favorably of Gothic and Dead End, too, but I also heard a few people say they didn't like those houses. I never heard anyone speak ill of HoH. My personal favorite is Silent Hill, but I think HOTY should go to Gothic for the combination of great scares and amazing scenery.
  8. Went from Oct. 4-7. Four nights. Silent Hill: 8 Gothic: 8 House of Horrors: 8 Alice Cooper: 7 Penn and Teller: 7 The Walking Dead: 8 Dead End: 6
  9. I don't plan on writing an overall review, but I'm two days post HHN visit and I wanted to share some thoughts. Houses this year were solid. I will say that, at least for me, not many of them were consistently scary- Silent Hill, Gothic, and Alice Cooper were the only ones. But this is the first year where I didn't have one scareless walkthrough in a house, no matter how bad my timing was. They always got me at least once. I don't get all the hate for the new street experience. This was only my third year attending, but I had more fun in the streets than ever before. The extra freedom the scareactors have been given makes it a blast to be out there. I saw Traditionals going into gift shops, Beasts following people into line queues, Warriors tapping on restaurant windows, Prisoners scaring people coming out of the bathrooms... the list goes on. I tore one of my legs up pretty badly overdoing it on Thursday night, so I spent a lot of time sitting on the benches and watching the hordes work. I lost count of how many times scareactors would come over and sit right next to me (I LOVED that!) or try to scare me on the bench. It was nice, and every horde was a joy to watch. Legions, all of you were fantastic. You're doing great out there- keep tearin' it up. Horror Unearthed was still in the Beta stage over the weekend, but despite the wonky scanners, it was a lot of fun to play. I hope they continue with games like this in the future. I actually didn't miss having an icon as much as I thought I would, but I do want to see them bring one out for next year. I can't help it, I love 'em.
  10. Yeee... I just checked my profile and it looks like I done good this weekend. Got each house badge, 7 in 1, Order, Triad, and Masters. I am missing several 5 Times badges though due to scanners not working on a couple of nights... will have to e-mail about those.
  11. From last night, 10/7: LEGIONS: BEASTS (7:17): I was making my way through the "JAWS Path" when the Beast horde showed up. The leader promptly split away from the group and charged, snarling, at me, getting me to scream pretty loud. Nice scare! 8:15: The mini horde came through Boulangerie and the Warrior charged up and scared me while I was eating dinner. lol! That was actually a treat... I had hoped if I ate inside for once, I might get to see scareactors come in. I really do love how much freedom they're allowed this year. PRISONERS (around 8-8:30 in Central Park): <3 For a certain Prisoner who keeps name dropping me. WARRIORS: 8:51: I wandered into Sting Alley, not expecting anything interesting to happen since I rarely saw scareactors in there. Cue a Warrior scaring the crap out of me right as I reached the end. The people behind me yelled "thanks for going first!" LOL I sat in Hollywood and watched these guys work their last set of the night. I've gained a new appreciation for them- they are absolutely insane. I got a laugh out of the Warrior who got my attention and then made the "I'm watching you" gesture before returning to formation. VAMPIRES (11:49): Sat near Central Park again and watched them do their thing. Staying still for too long around this horde is dangerous- they love food that doesn't run away. Extra love goes out to the vamp in the white dress who likes to sit next to me and make "nomnomnom"-type noises, and the oh-so-creepy vamp in the blue cap and coat... hon, I might've smiled at you, but my heart was pounding when I saw you standing behind me. D: HOUSES: GOTHIC (6:15): Had my personal space majorly invaded by Mr. Gargoyle from my previous post. I pointed at him, but he shook his head and said something I didn't catch. *shrug* Thanks for the extra attention (and again when I came through on your cast later). ALICE COOPER: Finale scareactors and whoever got me twice in the School's Out room. BTW, what happened to the jock on the right? Is he the one that's been scaring me? The scareactor is so quick that I can't tell, but I haven't seen the jock in that spot since Friday. PENN AND TELLER (9:25): I saved the best for last- I had an amazing run through this house. Constant scares. Extra love goes out to all the Wedding Chapel scareactors. Noose guy, you never fail to creep me out. ELVIS- holy crap dude, you were ALL OVER me. And thank you so much for the name shout-out! You have no idea how much that made my night And with that said... I bid you all farewell for another year. Thank you so much scareactors. I had a blast!
  12. I have decided that my favorite character in this house is the guy who shouts insults while/after he's scared you. Never fails to make me laugh (and scream). He reminds me of the guy from Happy Gilmore who yells "Jackass!" as he's zooming away. LOL
  13. From last night, 10/6: HOUSES: SILENT HILL: Cast A's Bogeymen never fail to make me scream. GOTHIC: Had two amazing runs through this house tonight at 6:15 and 11:40. Extra love to the gargoyle on my first run who pointed at my shirt and gave me an approving nod, I believe he was the first gargoyle in the scene immediately following the first flyer; the first two gargoyles on my second run who were all over me; and Cast A's bell ringer on the left who has maintained a perfect track record of scaring the shit out of me. HOUSE OF HORRORS (6:25): The finale scareactors, who swarmed me and almost put me on the floor. Nice! ALICE COOPER (6:40): Scored another mostly solo run in here. Once again I got demolished. Great job to all! PENN AND TELLER (6:50): Best run so far. Kudos to the chef for scaring the glasses right off my face! LEGIONS: PRISONERS: Several of you nailed me tonight. I had a particularly memorable Prisoner who snuck up on me out of nowhere- I turned around to find her sniffing me and was quite startled. This was at 10:24 and I think she was part of the mini horde. Also, thanks to the Prisoner who said she liked my shirt as I was leaving the park. BEASTS (1:03): I was on my way towards Sting Alley when one of them DASHED to intercept me and kept blocking my path and menacing me, resulting in me rapidly backing away. I can't get over how huge these guys are- I try my best to stay out of their path. VAMPIRES: Holy Christ you all are creepy... but loads of fun to watch too. I sat around for your last set last night and got menaced several times. 1:45- I had a very memorable male vamp who sat next to me and started licking his fingers while staring me down and edging closer. You have no idea how much that creeped me out. PS- Nosferatu, you are hilarious. <3 TRADITIONALS: Guy in the fox mask who keeps sitting with me, you're adorable. (but it creeps me out when you start sniffing me! lol) 8:20: Scare of the night, and possibly the whole weekend, goes to that girl in the fox mask I've mentioned previously. I was just starting to make my way down Hollywood when she intercepted me, started honking her horn in my face and asked if I brought her any candy because "you said you would!" I tried to answer but she accused me of lying again, pulled her mask away and started bawling. I eventually got her to calm down enough to show her that I had kept my promise and brought her candy. There was just one little problem: the candy was sealed, but I'd opened the bag... She. Went. Ballistic. "It's OPEN!!!" Oh she was PISSED. She started getting in my face and screaming about how I was trying to poison her, she would hear none of my protests, and I just panicked and took off running down Hollywood with her in hot pursuit, still screaming the whole way. Holy crap it was hilarious. Girl, if you read this, you deserve an Oscar for that performance. I was laughing about that for a good hour afterward.
  14. I didn't get notifications, but I scanned at every house again last night and just checked my profile: I now have points and badges for all houses. Will work on getting some other tasks done tonight and scan in for the Maschorians at Finnegans tomorrow night.
  15. This horde doesn't get enough love. I sat outside for at least 45 minutes last night and watched them do their thing. People were cussing and running away, one girl spilled her drink on herself, and they reduced another girl to a cowering ball on the ground. I wasn't a big WD fan coming into this event and I resented seeing it everywhere, but this horde was well cast. House is growing on me too.
  16. From last night, 10/5: HOUSES: SILENT HILL, opening cast: This is the third time both Bogeymen have scared the crap out of me. I know I'll be seeing this guy in my nightmares long after I return home... if he lets me return home... D: Nurses, at least one of you makes me scream every time I come through. Nice job. GOTHIC, opening: Bell ringer on the left strikes again! WALKING DEAD (6:50): Got another group butt whoopin' courtesy of the Walkers. Also, I came back later and the dept. store Walker forced me down AGAIN. *grumble* DEAD END (7:17): Best run through this house so far. "Oh SHIT" count: 3 LEGIONS: VAMPIRES: 6:12: Nosferatu in Central Park, you came SO close to getting the first cuss of the night. 7:33: "Nightmares" shout-out from a gorgeous passing female vamp 8:30: Was sitting on a bench near Mummy watching the Vampires when a female vamp in a white dress came over and sat with me. She kept licking and gnashing her fangs and scooting closer every time I moved away LOL. Funny and creepy. 11:30: I was sitting and watching once again, this time near Central Park, when a male vamp in a red/black robe came over, pointed at my shirt and gave a nod/snort of approval. Matador, I believe this may have been you- if it was, thanks! Also, I don't remember the time, but later on I received a whisper of "Nightmare" from a male vamp dressed in white. Yay shout-out. TRADITIONALS: Blonde girl with the monkey mask and horn I kept running into all night: You're adorable! I'm sorry I didn't have candy for you. I'll have to bring you some. Dark haired girl wearing the fox mask, a dress and also carrying a horn: You, on the other hand, are scary. You kept honking the horn in my face, chased me when I tried to run away, got upset when I didn't have candy, called me a liar when I said I'd bring some and told me liars get turned into "fresh meat". Hmph... I shouldn't give you any after that, but if you find me tonight, I might have some candy. Look for the short girl wearing a Nightmares shirt and a blue backpack PRISONERS: Much love to the big, intimidating prisoner who got my name off my shirt and came back later with a sneer of "Oh look, it's STUMPY." Made my night! INIQUITUS: Squee... <3 This is kinda silly, but it was my favorite moment of the night. I really like the winged Iniquitus on stilts with the moving jaw, it's my favorite one. I was sitting in Hollywood around 8:05 watching the Traditionals and this guy was out. He's popular with the picture takers, so I totally wasn't expecting what happened next. Suddenly there was no one around him, and without warning, he charged right up to me, got super close (I couldn't have left that bench if I wanted to) and just stood there staring down at me for a VERY long time. I loved it! If he is on here, thank you! (if he isn't, I would really appreciate it if someone would pass my thanks on to him!)
  17. Scareactors, you all make me so happy! Thanks for a very fun night.

  18. Add me to the list of folks who also did not get points or anything from last night. I scanned at every house too. :/ Well, I did get the badge for registering, at least. Hope we have better luck tonight.
  19. Actually, it did stop raining by 11 last night and all the hordes came out. Only the Iniquitus were missing (unless I just overlooked them).
  20. Last night was my first this year and I had a blast, probably the best first night I've ever had. I do have some kudos to hand out and you know me... this WILL be long, so if you're the TL;DR type then keep scrolling. SILENT HILL: Round 1, Stay and Scream: Bogeymen and Nurses, you were terrific (and in the case of the Bogeymen, HUGE). Great first impression here. Round 2, 9:10: HOLY CRAP. If I thought it was scary before, this was 5x worse. Got nailed by both Bogeymen and following the second Bogeyman attack... oh god... PYRAMID HEAD went after me and not only almost scared me to my knees, but I screamed my throat raw. The folks ahead of me actually stopped me on my way out to ask if I was okay. Amazing job! GOTHIC: 6:00: Bell ringer on the left got the first cuss word of the night 10:06: I'm pretty sure I had a run-in with a certain bus guarding Nightmare in here. Bell ringer on the right kept staring intently at my poncho, I think he saw the HNN logo there. I nodded at him, he kept staring... then he came around, scared me, and pointed right before I left the room. If that was you, thanks! WALKING DEAD: 10:36: I got a huge ass whoopin' courtesy of this cast. Extra love to the department store Walker on the left who held his hand over me and forced me to cower through the room. PS- I had a Walker "mwahahaha" at me... I'm pretty sure zombies don't make that sound. LOL ALICE COOPER (around 6:30): Every year I've had the good luck to do a house alone, and this one ended up being it. While I was waiting outside (putting space between me and the guy who just went in), the TM outside asked "you sure you wanna do that?" I probably should've listened to him. They. Wiped. The floor with me. I got backed up against a wall, I screamed constantly, and the icing on the cake was when I got to the finale and the... Showman?... and some dude in a straightjacket trapped me in there for over 10 agonizing seconds. I yelled at them to let me out but they kept blocking me... finally they started yelling "Run! Run!" and I was all too happy to obey. LOL It was amazing. Thank you scareactors! Also, much love to the jock who managed to spot my HNN shirt through my poncho and gave me a point/thumbs up. Thank you! LEGIONS: Didn't see much of you all due to the heavy rain, but I did catch a glimpse of every horde except The Iniquitus and I got at least one scare from most of you. I do want to give some extra love to Pumpkinhead. I was passing the mob of Traditionals in Central Park and he promptly split off from the group and went for me, getting a terrific scream for his efforts. Pumpkinhead, no matter who plays you, you'll always be one of my favorites. Oh, and Prisoners? It's only been one night, and you already make me proud to be a Maschorian. I picked the right Legion.
  21. Amazing day! Got chosen at Ollivanders, saw "Usher" at HMUS and enjoyed the parade. HHN tonight!

  22. Flying out to Orlando in the morning... :)

  23. I, too, am wondering about the state of the merchandise after two weekends, especially the Vinyl and the hoodie (any Smalls left?). The rest, I'm not too worried about.
  24. I love it! It even matches the scorpion, lol. Thanks Cody <3
  25. I hope I don't sound ungrateful, but I actually wanted you to use the image I supplied, if you'd be okay with that? I just wanted my username added to it, but like I said... I suck at GIMP so I wasn't able to make it look decent. I'd give you full credit, of course. That said, I do like the one you made! Very cool.
