  1. When did HNN start a babysitting service?

  2. If we're taking several cars and we've only got 1 AP for parking, we have that one car go ahead and park and have the rest of the cars wait in the drop-off/pick-up area. Once parked, whoever has the AP goes and gets in one of the cars waiting and goes and parks it using the AP. Repeat until all cars are parked.
  3. I use a Nikon D7000. But the camera isn't what's important. Lenses are what you need, in which case I use a 35mm f/1.8 and 17-50mm f/2.8 for HHN.
  4. Oct. 4th & 5th. Oct. 18th and 19th. HNN shirt on the 4th and 18th.
  5. I hate HDR, but those are some nics shots
  6. ALL OPINIONS OF THE EVENT ARE VALID. ANYTHING REGARDING THE VALIDITY OF AN OPINION FROM THIS POINT ON WILL BE REMOVED. I REALLY SHOULDN'T HAVE TO TELL YOU GUYS THIS. PLEASE RESUME HHN 22 DISCUSSION.
  7. His opinion was that the house was bad. Which is very much a valid opinion. Whether or not the house was constructed "last minute" is irrelevant. If it was the house they had spent the most amount of time on and turned out the way it did, it wouldn't change his opinion on the fact that he found the house unenjoyable. Drop me a PM if you want to continue this argument.
  8. The event is good, it just feels incomplete. Idk. The costumes and prosthetics look half-assed. Anything latex looks especially atrocious. The lack of dedicated sets in the streets make it feel empty. All of the houses feel pretty "meh" to me, as do the shows. Idk. It just doesn't feel as "complete" to me as it has years past. I am still enjoying myself though. And he's entitled to his opinion if he thinks it was shitty. Calm your britches. I thought it was pretty shitty myself.
  9. I was in a rush last weekend to get stuff done, and was with friends that didn't want to stand around while I took pictures so I only got a few. However, I will be back Oct. 4th and 5th and I will be dedicating both nights to photography in the streets. If you want pictures just drop me a PM and we'll arrange something.
  10. I actually liked the streets this year. It's different for sure, but I think what grabs me is that the scareactors have such a huge area to wander around. Last night we saw Prisoners in World Expo all the way from MIB queue to Krustyland. They blended in with the crowd and got a ton of good scares. I don't like how the street sets completely blow ass this year, but I do like how they can really make use of a lot of space. Haters gonna hate.
  11. Rain. Ok so I got there late after having to wait for the Mrs. to get off of work. Hit rush hour traffic plus accident after accident due to rain on the way there. Took us 3.5 hours to go from Jax to Orlando. Anyway, we got there around 9:30. The only things I really planned on doing was Silent Hill, Penn & Teller and Bill & Ted. First thing we did was walk over to Silent Hill. 45 minute wait. Nope. Walked over to Walking Dead. 75 minute wait. Nope. Walked over to Bill and Teds which was starting in 15 minutes. Sure, why not. Bill and Teds was pretty good. I feel it was the best year since '09. Probably because I understood 99% of the references from that year. The things I understood this year were good. A few of the jokes felt forced, but that happens every year. Thank fucking god we didn't get a fart joke again this year though. Overall, 7/10. I did enjoy it. Afterwards we walked over to Penn & Teller. They were posted at 45 (probably anticipating Bill & Ted dump) but we only waited 30 or so. Penn & Teller was a neat house. Typical 3D glasses trippy colorful house. Some of the rooms were pretty clever and I got a few good scares here actually. I don't know, it just felt kind of recycled. I wasn't really impressed, but it wasn't bad. Just kinda meh. I'll give it a 6/10. With 20 minutes left we wandered back over to Silent Hill. They were posted at a 30 but we probably waited 10 or 15. This was my most anticipated house this year, and again I felt like it was alright. The siren and Pyramid Head we're really cool. The nurses had good costumes. The sets were pretty good. I felt the entrance was a little plain and open, but whatever. Overall 7/10. We saw a few of the streets over in the MIB area. I believe the Prisoners and the Traditionals. I actually did like how they have much more area to walk around in. We saw Prisoners all the way from the MIB entrance all the way down toward Krustyland. They blended in with the crowds well and got some really good scares on guests. The only thing I don't like about the streets this year is lack of dedicated sets. They're very plain. But the fact that they're letting the actors walk around in a much larger "zone" is very cool and while it does thin them out, it gives them the opportunity for some very unexpected scares. So yeah, only got a couple houses and B&T done last night. Hoping to do the rest tonight, plus take some pictures in the zones. See you guys out there.
  12. I wish I got to see them, I love Bullshit and Fool Us. We did this house 2nd to last yesterday evening after the rain had subsuded. I pressed (not hit) all of the buttons and got a shot of water to the face from one of them, so they're obviously there to be pressed.
  13. I thought this house was alright. The siren and pyramid head did it for me. I wish he had his big ass knife, but that would make manuvering a little difficult I guess. I give it a 7/10.
  14. Can't make it, won't be arriving in Orlando until 8 or 9. If you see me around the park though feel free to say hi
  15. The messenger bag is not exclusive. Idk how much they're charging but I've seen those at multiple conventions over the last 2-3 years for $10-15.
  16. Halloween is usually very quiet at HHN. Kids are trick or treating, parents are with their kids trick or treating, and teens/young adults are partying.
  17. Generally, it gets busier the later into October you get. For the past 3 years I've been able to do all of the houses and shows on opening night, but you have to be quick and plan ahead. This also includes no eating. I generally get a big meal at Citywalk immediately before entering the park that will last me the night. I don't stop for Scarezones either, I save those for other nights. This is without express, and without being in the park when the event starts. I like waiting outside the gate with the crowds and talking to people, and entering it with everyone else. If you have express, or you get the early access to the houses by waiting inside of the park after normal park hours, you shouldn't have much difficulty.
  18. That fucking siren man... *shivers*
