  1. If you've ever met any sarcastic prick with an ego, you'd know. It's all in sarcastic nature. YOU should be thanking HIM for whatever horrors he comes up with for you. HE's the best and he know's he's the best. As for the maniacs? Goes along with his ego trip. You pledge your allegiance to HIM. You are now his little puppets per say. That's his thing. Of course he's going to bring it up a lot. You're Welcome.
  2. Well it looks like there might be some truth to her story then. Sooo yeah. Maybe it's best to read warnings and not film because your device might be confiscated to remove images/videos. I couldn't see TM's having that much authority but again anything is possible. Especially in todays struggle with technology. So moral: Read signs, don't film unless you know it's 100% okay and really..... Just experience the moment. Things are less scary looking through a view finder anyways.
  3. I don't know if it was 100% true but I was talking to a girl who worked in attractions for HHN last year for the houses. I guess the black shirt people? And she said that they had the authority to take the phone and delete pictures if they were used in the house and once security got involved. Like, I still don't know if anybody has authority do take someones phone or camera and delete the photos but that's what she said. I take her story with a grain of salt but if they don't want you taking photos or videos in there it could very well be true? But it could be them protecting their ideas and what not so the exact details can't be duplicated elsewhere with competition or something. (Plus flash in dark spaces is always a no-no regardless)
  4. I've seen employee tickets (Diagon Alley Preview) and they state they are not for sale. Selling a TM ticket could lead to termination of that TM. (This is a pretty standard theme park rule. I knew a guy who got busted at Disney for selling his tickets to someone.) Also I've been told TM's are responsible for their guests which is a no-brainer really, be mindful of who you let in, if your guest gets drunk or causes any problems your name is linked to your guests tickets. If you're going as a TM or a guest of a TM be mindful that they know everyone there during preview is (or is linked to) an employee, stay safe, have fun, and drink responsibly during preview. Drink responsibly. Drink responsibly. and Drink responsibly. (I've heard unfortunate stories) I feel like an old fart. But do be careful!
  5. I could be wrong but I *Think* They didn't open Seuss gates because of the Hogwarts Express train. Did your friend do it for sure did it last year? Because when I asked about it last year they just said "There's no point because the train is open now" My memory serves what Badge has said above. I think they quit opening the gate from Seuss. Plus that path goes right through all the major houses and they probably want that to be a que line instead of a path cutting through it.
  6. I also think there's a possibility for a few errors in the scarezone location highlights too. At least according to area decoration start/end. Could likely change as more props are still being brought in but..... Yeah.. Error galore. I do wish Jacks show is more prominant. That little blue dot could be easy to miss. I honestly thought they'd put the show in Beetlejuices's stage like Rocky Horror used to be. Hopefully the team members will be well informed of the corrected issues before the event and given a correct map with the edits in them. Seems like they rushed this out before it was ready.
  7. Holy cow that map is filled with errors. 4 houses end across from MIB gear? Honestly I would think Insidious would be the correct exit location and the other 3 are incorrect considering they are nowhere nearby. I hope they manage to catch all of this before the guest maps come out. Otherwise that'll be embarrassing.
  8. If you read the map E is run and F is insidious. They are right next to each other on the map (alphabetically) and F's Insidious exists across from MIB gear. It's just an incorrect duplicate of exit locations. Insidious's is MIB gear, Run is not. (obviously) Unless that's part of it. RUN through the park as fast as you can. If you don't make it to MIB gear in under a minute... Well... You don't want to know what'll happen.
  9. When is Twister closing? I thought that wouldn't be until the end of the year, at least until after HHN. Is twister done? For them to be able to use their store as an HHN merch location or do they just share with the giftshop?
  10. A bit off topic-ish and parden if I already missed this discussion in the 88 pages of discussion. But how does everyone feel about the new scaracter dining experience? Hit? Flop? A cool concept? Pricey? It sounds very interesting but I think I'll skip the first year bumps and glitches phase. Does anyone else plan to do this? If so I'd love to hear feedback after you experience it to see if it's worth it next year if they do it again. Fuel up for the fear with the Halloween Horror Nights® Scareactor Dining Experience* on September 18-19 and 25-26. Enjoy an all-you-care-to-eat themed dinner buffet with a special menu that’s to die for, scareactor photo ops, a digital download of one (1) photo taken during the dining experience and more for $49.99 plus tax (all ages). Seating times include 4:30pm, 4:45pm, 5:00pm, 5:15pm or 5:30pm. This eerily exclusive dining experience is open to Annual Passholders with a Halloween Horror Nights ticket inclusion or separate event ticket, Halloween Horror Nights Add-On ticket holders or RIP Tour guests. http://www.halloweenhorrornights.com/orlando/scareactor-dining.html?__source=sm.awr.aa.cx.fj.es.:344
  11. So Jacks face being on a billboard (and in commercials) He has little vector art shapes of his face on HHN's site and his face is on the passholder booklet and likely the maps too. He has his own show AND house doesn't count as a traditional icon year? He does have his backstory but they haven't really gone into detail (yet) about what the new continued part of the story might be. But maybe by time the gates open it could all very well be explained then; his story. I have a feeling people are wanting the whole event laid out to them start to finish through advertising etc. rather than actually going to the event and experiencing it unfold. Expecting to know everything about the event before it starts is like looking at the back of a novel and reading the spoilers and calling it a day.
  12. I don't get how one can say this isn't an icon year. When Icons get their own street with their own killings, Jack (icon) gets his face around (not as much as you'd like I guess but he's still present on most advertising things in some form or another and I imagine it'll extend onto billboards and park maps when that time come). Jack (icon) gets his show again. Jack (icon) gets a house. There's a lot of focus on icons. I don't see why lack of advertisement of icons means icons don't exist or it isn't the year of the icons when there's obviously a street, a house, and a show dedicated to icons all in one year. I've missed every icon under the sun and I'm thrilled most, if not all making a comeback all at once in some form.
  13. I was sold when Jack was announced. I LOVE LOVE LOVE carnival themes. One of the first local haunted house I worked for did well on their first year and I convinced them to do a carnie theme year after and that just blew the roof off the joint almost with how popular it became. I had so much fun and I was hoping on seeing some insane circus/carnival theme around the whole area almost. The atmosphere I just adore. But then it went bye bye. Now I don't even know whats going on. And I'm also very disappointed that the leaked list was pretty much on point for the entire event. Leaves all mystery out pretty much. You couldn't speculate anything because it was all "No THIS is what's happening" And well.... it was.. I'm still hoping they bring a lot more to the table than everyone thinks. You really won't know until the sets are fully up and people are fully in costume to really see how it all turns out.
  14. I'm not sure publicly announcing how to cheat the system is advisable. Sure no one is going to hunt you down and you but it's still probably not a good idea. And yes the express tickets will know if the "owner" of the ticket has entered the park or not and will not activate until they do so if my memory serves correctly. Some passes even have had peoples pictures printed on it so it makes it even more noticeable.
  15. HOUSES 1. Asylum In Wonderland 3D 2. Jack presents: 25 Years of Monsters and MayhemRun: Blood, Sweat and Fears 3. Run: Blood, Sweat and Fears Yeah, I know I'm not into houses that much.. I enjoy the streets. SCAREZONES 1. Evil's Roots 2. Icons 3. PsychoScareapy: Unleashed 4. Scary Tales: Screampunk 5. All Nite Die In: Double Feature
  16. I don't see them opening Gringotts any time soon. Not because of how new the ride is (the hype has died down considerably), but because of the idea of having to staff a pretty large separate area of the park just to keep one ride running. Then it's pretty dark in Diagon with knockturn, which could add into security concerns with all of the smoking/drinking that goes on during HHN. I don't think anyone would like the idea of creating a roped line from the front of diagon to gringots and back just to keep one ride open either. That's just my thoughts about Diagon though. I for one, everything is 100% new to me. I've only been in Havoc and From Dusk Till Dawn. That's all I've seen and I like clown/carnie concepts so I'm interested in Icon Jack a lot and have a lot to experience that I've never experienced before. My personal opinion but I find it fair for Universal to balance out the audiences. They acknowledge the old timers and die hard fans with some of the lesser known original concepts that you guys crave. But ultimately the mass mainstreamers are where the money is with any type of situations. Mainstream things like TWD and other popular headliners are what's going to fill the houses. Generally people go to what they know and anything else is an afterthought, and they know TWD, Insidious, and household names like that.
  17. The walking Dead has officially been announced on their website along with a video.
  18. This sounds like great advice. I've only been a wanderer around HHN. I've gone with family 2 years but sat around and just took in the atmosphere while they did everything. I like people watching so it was enjoyable to see everything at a slow pace. Though if you do decide to eat anywhere I recommend the monster cafe. It's kind of like quick service so pretty affordable but edible food. The atmosphere with the restaurant kind of ties into the whole theme of the night so if you do get hungry and the line and tables aren't too packed I'd shoot for that so you won't be pulled out of the experience as much as going to say... Finnegans
  19. From my view you don't want to announce too early, but not too late either. At least get the ball rolling by the beginning of August in a few days. I'm a planner. If I'm planning to go to HHN I'm going to go in the early days not during busy October. I'm then going to look at the list now and all that's confirmed are a few things. With so little I might decide to just skip it with such little information available to really decide if I want to budget for the event or not or go to a different one elsewhere. Waiting to announce things at the last minute really just relies on internal, local, and already here people who can easily pop in at the drop of a hat. But I've got no major in marketing.
  20. All the mazes I've been in though I've been pushed through. Spending more than 5 minutes in one seems like an impossible concept to me. Half an hour? Yeah forget it in todays time. So I don't get it? Why can't they bring in Eddie. I understand pulling things back in 2001 as it was a sensitive time. But from everyones description of him I don't see why he can't be brought back in if he's a cross between what? Jason and a chainsaw?
  21. Oh so is Run's Icon Eddie somewhat based off of H.H. Holmes? Torture House business; Death hotel business. Similar-ish. "The final scene included guests RUNning down a narrow, but long hallway, while being chased by Eddie himself." Hmm. I don't see this scene happening for a variety of reasons. Mostly for safety though. If I were them my main concern would be trampling. I remember going to Wild Adventures GA to their version of horror nights. I think it was called Phobia. This was back in maybe 2007. I do remember though that their houses were very spacious. If you went in a room, you were in a room. Equipped with room furniture rather than being herded at a fast but slow pace through narrow paths with nowhere to go.
  22. Not really. I mean Disney doesn't really do anything special for not so scary. Just park-wide halloween decor and occasionally a few props. They could probably tuck it into a different corner or even in IOA. As for the parades being on hiatus, maybe they could get a new special parade. That would be nice. ETA: I would love to see them bring in something for the kids or for the whole family during the day. It probably won't happen though But if it's successful at one park... one can hope right?
  23. The daytime event sounds like a fantastic idea though.
  24. Hot damn that's expensive. But it could be "yaaay we're celebrating 25 years! Biggest year ever!!! muahahahaha jk go home" True horror right there.
  25. I can't come up with a logical reason to remove the event dates so you cant join them. I mean when my friends were "attending" the events and selecting their days it showed up on their friends feeds (including mine) from there I went to "like" the FB group because I hadn't done so yet. Others were commenting on their "going" status trying to coordinate dates to meet up. It's a good free promotion tool. And convenient to select "going" on the date you wish to go.
