  1. I just created a thread dedicated to my band's music. Check it out if you'd like. It would mean a lot. :)

  2. Introduction Alright, well a lot of the members here on Nightmares are very talented artists, and a lot of them post their work in this "Creative Work" thread in topics dedicated to their art alone. Well, I am not an artist, but I do another form of art - music. With my band's first EP getting close to release (for free download) within the next couple of weeks, I thought I'd make a topic dedicated to our work, as we are only going to be making more music and albums form here on out. I hope you enjoy. The Basic Information The band name is Fox Brothers. The "band," which is really a duo, consists of Dylan Forehand and myself, Samuel Capell. We started in March 2012 and have been busy at work ever since. We both play the instruments that constitute our music and we both contribute to the lyric-writing process as well. In our music you can find instruments such acoustic/electric guitar, ukulele, piano, percussion instruments (bells, glockenspiel, etc), drums, and a few other miscellaneous instruments. Though, singing is only in the hands of Dylan, and any piano or drum work is left in the hands of myself. Our music is not one specific genre, we like to jump around. Dylan and I tend to write whatever we feel like, which means some songs can be jazz, pop, coffee house, classical, soft-rock, acoustic, electronic, etc. Though, a main "genre" that would classify us is indie. With that being said, our music is completely independent. We don't have any record company or labels to back our music up...it's just us and anyone we know who is willing to donate money. The name Fox Brothers, is what Dylan and I consider ourselves. Two best male friends may often refer to themselves as "brothers," but Dylan and I both have a keen interest and love for the animal the fox, so we called ourselves Fox Brothers. A couple years later when we formed the band, we decided that Fox Brothers was the best and most fit name. Yeah, we're dorks. Fox Brothers takes its roots and inspirations from a wide range of a lot of things in life. Sharpen that with a love for foxes and a slightly animistic appearance, and you have Fox Brothers. I hope you enjoy the music. Note: I have mentioned before that I am making HHN-fan music, but this is not that. My HHN music is on hiatus right now and will commence when I get everything together, which won't be for awhile. THE EP After a month shy of a year and a half of making music, we have now reached the point of finally releasing an album, which in this case is an EP (a smaller collection of songs, apposed to a full length album or LP). This EP is very special in that we got our lovely and talented friend to do the artwork for it, and we even received donations and funds from branch's of my mom's work. The EP has a very traditional 90's garage band drive for it...not in the sound of the music, but in the motivation behind it. We recorded/mixed/mastered the album in my bedroom. So, it's not going to be studio quality music, but it's all about making the music and getting it out there. Who cares if it has to be done in a "garage," it's all about the music. We do hope to get better equipment eventually by the time we make our LP, but music equipment is very expensive. But, we will eventually reach that. Here is the promotional poster for the EP: The EP will hopefully be out in the next couple of weeks. Here is a song off of our EP entitled, The Strangest Times. Note, it will be available for FREE DOWNLOAD! That is as much as I have to share with you right now. I'll be sure to keep this thread updated about the EP and anything about Fox Brothers in general. If you want more current updates, follow and like our Facebook page (the link is provided below). Some Songs Not on the EP On the Shore of this Winter The Ballad of Johnny's New York Links: Our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/FoxBrothersMusic Our YouTube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/FoxBrothersMusic -------- Lastly, we do wear fox masks, but that is in no way an association with Halloween Horror Nights or attempting to be like or mimic the Traditionals/Skool Children. We just do it because we like it, and it keeps things evocative and may attract new listeners. We even had the idea of doing it before HHN 22, which is where I developed an obsession for those evil little brats. Thanks for at least taking the time to read this, and if you didn't read it all the way through, at least you checked us out. That in its self is supporting independent music, more specifically, our independent music.
  3. Really, HHN? Really?

  4. So, it was from HHNinPhotographs! I was sure it was, but I wasn't at the same time. Thanks so much for sharing this again!
  5. Does anyone remember an article that was done on the HHN audition process? It went over practically everything and was very well written. It's not for me, I know people who need it, and that article is exactly what they're looking for, but I can't find it anymore. Does anyone know where it is or might be? Thanks.

    1. Legacy

      Legacy

Yes, I do remember it and it's been added to the Audition thread.

      Thanks so much, man! :)

  6. Can someone help me? I myself am not auditioning for HHN, but I know a couple people who are searching for help on what to expect. I remember there was an article (by HHN In Photographs I believe), and it was all about what to expect for the auditions. It went over practically everything and it was really cool. I can't find it anymore. Does anyone know where it is or might be? Thanks so much!
  7. I could see them having a hallway where both sides have cubes with some of the monsters. They've done hallways with prison cells in the past, so think of it like that I guess. In my opinion, I think that would be cool...to have a hallway with them in their cubes. And if the Body Collectors return, I think I might cry (of happiness that is). My first HHN house that I actually remember a good deal of. <3
  8. I was extremely vexed as well when I saw that too. Though, I guess it is usually is added in later (sometime near the end of the event I guess). That's just what someone said. I really hope it's true. I already get FFP w/ Express and it would be nice to not have to cough up another $70 or so dollars.
  9. They're on sale now. http://halloweenhorrornights.com/orlando/tickets.html
  10. It could just be a marketing ploy. I could see it going either way.
  11. New update! There will be bi-weekly updates from now on. It has begun!
  12. Does anyone know if the reveal will happen exclusively on Facebook, or if this could be the launch of the teaser website as well!? I really hope it's the teaser site; it's about time.
  13. All night the calls came in...

  14. I think it will be Evil Dead as well because the font of 23 is very reminiscent of the Evil Dead style font. The branches growing out of the 23 remind me a lot of it at least.
  15. Alright. Bring umbrellas and a bob cat.

  16. Because no one has mentioned it, I think I heard wrong...but at the LT briefing, didn't they say we were investigating the legions?
  17. Haha. I've been here since the beginning, but I missed about the last 10 pages and I don't have the time to go through them. I've been so busy and I only have about 15 minute intervals of Internet usage, so I just don't have the time to check. It sucks that you've missed 43. I hope someone can come along to help you. Though, watching all of Doc's videos where he reads the guesses for his clues is a good start on the major things being speculated.
  18. Halloween Extreme today!

  19. I've never heard that terminology. Thanks for the clarification.
  20. True. I also don't see as big of a property as The Walking Dead going in a tent. Sure two IP's were in tents last year, but if TWD returns it will most likely be the focus of the event or advertising again...and therefore I don't see it being put in a tent. I don't know, maybe that's just me.
  21. Ahh, I see what you did der. And to everyone saying "Old Sparky," are you referring to the electric chair from Hellgate Prison (2004), because that was Old Smokey...or is this some other electric chair or reference I don't know about.
  22. I love the idea of an original (not Walking Dead) prison-based house. But, I don't really like the idea of it being in a sprung tent. I feel it would fit more appropriately in a sound stage. I know tents can put on wonderful houses (I'm not anti-tent houses) but I would just prefer this in a soundstage. And if there is an original prison and WD prison house...that would bother me. Why two similar things? There's no need. Of course WD will bring the money. I've wished for a prison house for some years now...I hope it's original and not WD or zombie centered.
  23. Woah, I've not been on here in a while! Good to be back! Due to my absence, I have missed some stuff. Could someone catch me up...have permits been filed yet, or any new info, or anything? Thanks.
