  1. no, definitely sounded like a AWIL howl on that recording. Bells could have been Big Ben.
  2. I think it's the road from the night vision video
  3. I've always wanted Universal to produce HHN videos for each year where it's a walking tour of the event as though you're there. Just ambient sounds of the crowds with the right music for the area overlaid on top. Get a run through of each house with a good equipment. Capture the scareactors at work from different perspectives. Put the shows on disc if there aren't too many rights issues. Etc. I think they'd sell enough copies to make their production and publishing costs back. Not only would people who have attended that year like a copy, but a lot of people who couldn't make it (or afford it). We could all revisit our favorite years whenever we wanted to. All the hard work that was put in the event would be properly documented.
  4. JDW, can you do one based on that last evil dead series you did but without the title in it and instead the face in the clouds . . . maybe even fit in the cabin in the woods cabin and full moon . . . and maybe also a couple zombies near the cabin . . . thanks, babe. love ya!
  5. A combo house of the Condemned and Eternal Darkness video games! Yes! lol
  6. I hope they go after the gov't with all the spying scandals
  7. I think advance applies for the length of the event as long as you buy before you arrive at the park, so I don't expect prices to change
  8. I had a nice big story typed out about my first visit. I opened a new tab so I could check spelling on something, and of course I didn't copy what I had typed out. I clicked back over to HNN only to see the site reload and eliminate my text . . . thanks, iPad! I was there opening weekend in '91 for Fright Nights. Decided to start the night by riding Back to the Future which turned out to be huge mistake. Dungeon of Terror was like a 2 - 3 hour wait all night, the only haunted house that year. I still had a good time though and have been nearly every year ever since. I even worked security for HHN XIII at ship of screams and psycho scareapy.
  9. Cool idea, but I'd like another sinister movie first.
  10. Man, all this stuff is going way over my head. Can somebody do a complete idiots guide thread?
  11. want to buy, but must wait for express pricing to make final decision!
  12. Regarding Cabin in he Woods: oh yeah! Gold star for me!
  13. It seems inevitable at this point, and it would be a huge draw. Might not see it this year, but I think they need to jump on the hype of the new Springfield theming while it's hot.
  14. It would either be 2011 since I missed that year and I think I would have really liked the houses, or it would be carnival of carnage.
  15. I think we may see stuff from the old movies and the new one. I mean, they should have the necronomicon and Knowby's recording playing as you enter, and dudes dressed like Ash inside. They have to have the scene where he cuts off his hand while laughing maniacally. They have to have "I'll swallow your soul!" in there. They need the basement with the cats hanging down from the ceiling from the new movie as well as the deadite from the end. And the olds, gotta have the olds.
  16. Maybe it's going to be done like you're new hires and are touring the facility when all the monsters escape.
  17. I'm planning on getting FFP, possibly express as well, and I am now the proud owner of an annual pass so I will be taking advantage of the perks that come with that, AND I will be getting a HNN shirt to wear this year . . . I always go opening night, so you can count me in for then for sure for now, barring any unforeseen complications of course. I will go at leat once a week, and will update with specifics as they arise.
  18. I remember being mad when HHN was moving to IOA for the first time back in the day, lol. I was all "how can they theme it properly!" and "the streets are too narrow!" I still think it is way better at the studios, but I wouldn't lose my shit if they incorporate IOA again in the future. But even earlier than that I remember one year thinking that HHN had gone mainstream because the park wasn't "moody" enough and there was dance music playing, lol. Basically what I'm getting at is that there will always be something to complain about, but there is always enough fun to be had. The event changes over the years and you just have to enjoy it for what it is. I'm glad I've gone nearly every year since the beginning and was able to experience HHN when it was a smaller event, but I'm also glad that it became popular because it means that it will continue as long as it is profitable.
  19. Maybe flashback means something from the past, and there are more than movies represented at universal . . . What if the "prison" is actually you walking into an episode of Scooby Doo? They still have Hanna Barbera rights for the characters. It's such a great fit for Halloween and 100 years of horror too. Now that I think about it, why have they never capitalized on it before? I think it would play well.
