  1. Who gives a crap what they NAME it?? I just can't wait to SEE it.. regardless of the name. It could be named Bleach for Babies, and I'd still want to go.
  2. I'd have to take off work - days I don't have because of other stuff scheduled. I'd LOVE to do that, but no. Also, we are specifically doing "round two" in order to do the Arcane Insights Tour which is only on 4 Fridays.. so I had to pick one.
  3. No, we are going the weekend of October 12. I can't go Halloween weekend because we have a HUGE party that Saturday night.
  4. I have a question.. If you get on the Arcane Insights tour.. and the thing says it lasts for 6 hours, why in holy hell would you need a HHN admission ticket, too? I just booked this tour (I couldn't help myself.. now we're flying down TWICE.. jeez). But, before I go online and buy my HHN tix for our second trip down, I need to make sure it's necessary. It doesn't logically make sense to me. Anyone know?
  5. Thank you, kind sir. I guess this means I'll be staying up late tonight. SO excited!
  6. Not to throw everyone into fits.. but is it GUARANTEED they will reveal at midnight tonight? I mean, they said August 30, yes.. but what if they decide 9:08am? Just wondering how you know it's midnight. Is it previous history? I don't know because I never thought to follow stuff like this until last year (and this will be my 8th year!)
  7. Latest: HHN fans check your inbox, clues have been sent. See if you can figure out what will be waiting for you this year… If you weren’t one of the 22 fans to receive a clue, you were still entered for a chance to experience a first-look tour of one of this year’s houses on August 29. We will notify the winners tomorrow. http://bit.ly/TkoBta
  8. Yes, then this: Want to be part of an opportunity that is to DIE for? If you email us at HHN@universalorlando.com to receive a not yet revealed clue about this year’s event, you will be entered in for the opportunity of a first-look tour of one of this year’s houses on August 29. The call for submissions will close in 1 hour. You may begin…http://bit.ly/TkoBta
  9. If you go to the website and look under tickets and "add ons", you'll see that your only options are to book via email or through calling. "To reserve your tour, check on tour availability or have any questions, please contact the VIP Services Office. We are available 7 days a week, 9:00AM to 6:00PM EST, and can be reached via phone or email: Phone: 407-363-8295 option 2 Email: viptours@universalorlando.com "
  10. Christian rock songs on Rockit? Really? A plethora of good rock more fitting for the occasion would be great - even classics like Highway to Hell or Feed My Frankenstein..
  11. If I had this job, I'd go to work happy every single day.
  12. I want games NOW, dammit! <stomping feet> I have the patience of a toddler at this point. That poster may be used at BK, but it doesn't give away anything. I can't even figure out why they bothered to tweet that.
  13. Can I just say how PISSED I am that I can't get to that Arcane Insights Tour? We will be down there a week too early. UGH!! However, I did just book the UMTH tour for Saturday, Sept 29 at 1:30pm.. followed by the RIP Tour that same night.
  14. Ohhh sweet!!! THANK YOU WESKER!! xo! Been waiting for this!
  15. Ha ha.. if you really want to make your head explode, try typing just those numbers in Google. They come up as "Smarandache Numbers" which is some kind of numbers theory thing: http://books.google.com/books?id=Bp2ef_zRFDAC&pg=PA200&lpg=PA200&dq=2614+2706+2712+2720+2790&source=bl&ots=erGT9Bx2w5&sig=gRVKM7v9xkNKhn6KKt8ZYUGHGjQ&sa=X&ei=-PI0UNe9AYq_yQG8xYC4Cg&ved=0CCwQ6AEwBg#v=onepage&q=2614%202706%202712%202720%202790&f=false Makes no relevant sense that I can figure out (yes, I then Googled Smarandache Numbers to find out more about it, and after five minutes, my brain melted). Just thought it was amusing that the numbers were connected in SOME way.
  16. Good lord, man! We were there that same weekend (the 28th of Sept). I didn't see any of that stuff! LOL! I have a new plan this year.. we are going to look for stuff the minute we get there on the 27th. I think maybe we always wait too long (until the last night we're there, and at the end of the night). That's what I get for procrastinating. Do they give you anything else on the RIP tour? Just curious..
  17. Wow, Grime, your pics are simply stunning. The HP pics are absolutely breathtaking! Uni should hire you for PR. I love the seal, too.. so adorable! I cannot WAIT to see what you do for HHN. When do you go? Hell, I'd follow you around. If you see a middle-aged woman with her face painted (with 2 friends in the same condition), and you think they are stalking you.. we are.
  18. Designing the Fear just posted pics of scarezone construction on Facebook.
  19. What the hell?? I thought you all said the hoodies are the first thing to go? How is it possible they'd then have them on Halloween to discount?? If they are so highly sought after, who in their right mind would hold some back to sell at a deep discount when you can get primo dollars for it?
  20. Well, who knew? LOL! So, did you order it? Hell, I think members of this forum could write an awesome travel and tip guide - and include history and pics and IF YOU ORDER NOW, thrown in a t-shirt or two.
  21. This is one of the most eloquent and passionate examples I've read in a long time which illustrates WHY most of us are drawn to this kind of thing. I, too, was a horror fan from a young age - watching old horror movies late at night on Friday nights, or sneaking into the theater to see a new release even though I wasn't old enough (this was back a few decades before they got crazy with carding people), and reading Stephen King like he was a super hero. (well, he is, but that's another thread for another day). All of us have that one thing that just scared the living crap out of us, and we never forget it. To see it "come alive" at HHN must be beyond thriling for you! I wish I was going to be around when you experience this. I'm sure it'll be something. Thanks for sharing that. Sidenote: Believe it or not, I finally finished watching Silent HIll for the first time this weekend. I thought the movie was badly acted and kind of remedial. However - I did keep saying - "Oh my god, this will make one HELL of a house though!" I think the idea for the siren and a following darkness would be terrifying.
  22. That is just TOO COOL! Thank you for posting that!!
  23. I'll go on record as saying I MUCH prefer the original houses, and, frankly, I'm thrilled we aren't getting TCM. However, an announcement from HHNO any time would be nice. Last note for clarification on Stephen King - he hated Kubrick's "The Shining" because he felt the main idea of the story was not properly represented. It's more about alcoholism than anything else in the book. While I love ol' Jack in Kubrick's version, I didn't really take that movie as a true adaptation of King's work because, in the movie, Jack came off as crazy right from the start. In the book, he's not. He's a dedicated family man with a bad history when he was drinking which is why he is stone cold sober before he takes the job. His insanity is a real progression fueled by the underlying alcoholism. AND, in the book, his wife is hot. I don't think I need further explanation there.
