I HATED that pirate game last year!! OMG! Vampires game this year is like the one for The In-Between last year.. you had to "open" the correct square or window or something, didn't you??

There is a terrific backstory to this house which they explained to us on the UMTH tour on Saturday. I don't understand why all this info isn't really fleshed out in print on the website like they did with the houses last year. After doing UMTH, the houses were that much better because we got the whole story. Dead End is tied for my favorite house along with Gothic. Funny.. when I first heard about Gothic, I thought it might be kind of silly. Turns out, it's just stunning. Cannot wait to go back and do this house again 10 days..

The first two nights we went into this house, I was really disappointed. I mean, the smell was there (the constant burning smell), and we saw Pyramid Head every time we went through (2x each night). However, I couldn't believe there was no ash falling anywhere, and it just seemed like the house had no energy. Then, we went again on Saturday night.. and it was like someone remembered to put the plug in or something because it was AMPED UP.. there was even falling ash at the beginning which I was THRILLED with. It seemed like there were more actors, more scares on Saturday night.. and we saw PH again that night, too. I don't know how you could miss him!

The three nights we went (Sept 27, 28 & 29) all had very fun interactions with various members of the "hordes". The first night, we were taking a break on a bench outside Disaster, watching people exit The Walking Dead into the Zombie hordes and laughing our asses off. We were also trying to catch some of the lagoon show. We were thoroughly entertained, and we were so into laughing at everyone else being scared, we let our guard down.. and that's when one of the bigger Zombies snuck up behind my back, leaned right into my ear and growled. I literally popped off the bench about a foot and my legs straightened out in front of me like I was having a seizure or something. It felt like my hair stood on end, too. So, well played, Zombie.. well played. The second night, the Vampires seemed to take a liking to us.. which did NOT piss me off since I have a "thing" for vampires. LOL We have LOTS of pics of various vampires up close and personal. The third night (we did UMTH and RIP Tour that day/night), I wore my HNN shirt.. and I had several different characters from several different hordes point directly at me (also in the houses!). I thought that was pretty damn cool. And let me just say, my favorite characters have to be the Iniquitus. They are just AMAZING.. beautiful in that scary, elegant way. I could sit and watch them all night - especially the ones on the stilts.. They are just graceful and terrifying and everything Halloween should be. Props to Universal and to the awesome actors lucky enough to do that gig.

Here we are from this past weekend.. I wore my HHN shirt on Saturday and I had quite a few scareactors on the streets and in the houses who pointed at it directly. . That was cool. I'm the one in the middle, and my partner is the taller one on MY right (your left as you look at pic). She and I will be back down there the weekend of the 12-13..

I KNEW IT!! Got up this morning and checked my email, and I only got 5 of the 7 badges even though we went thru all houses. Bummer... didn't know until reading this that completing all 7 was now a "task". Haven't been able to get on the game this morning for some reason. <sigh> Have to try again tonight!

Does anyone have any other photos of the A&D people? I'd love to know if I see any of them.. but I don't know all their names or what they look like. I'd DEFINITELY buy drinks for them if I knew who I was looking for

I hope those passcards are plentiful enough to at least sign people up thru the first three weeks. We hop a plane this Wednesday, and we will be attending Thurs, Fri and Sat of next weekend. Would love to play whatever the physical game is. Strengoit here, too.

OMG, not to sound daft.. but Jeramy, I think you just referred to a 2nd Silent Hill movie? I didn't know there were two.. jeez, I could barely get thru the first one. I could appreciate the effects, and I did say that the concepts would make a GREAT house. I just hated the movie. Don't think I could stomach a 2nd one.. so being kind of selfish, I hope a lot of the house is based on the first movie.

Not watching, not watching. LA LA LA LA LA (fingers in ears).. you can't make me! Jeez.. you guys are KILLING ME! But two weeks from tonight, I'll be walking thru that gate and I'll see for myself. OMG, I can't believe I only have two more weeks!!

Hmm.. I think it's time to remove myself from this discussion. I don't want to know how anything looks inside these houses until I get there. As a matter of fact, I don't want to see any of the stuff going up in the streets either. I'm a total nerd and a purist, and I want the full experience after I walk thru the doors. Now, AFTER I've been there, I don't mind watching behind the scenes video because the whole thing fascinates me, and I firmly believe I am forced to walk much faster thru the houses than I want to. I know I miss stuff.. so, the videos are great. It's also why I'm so excited about the UMTH and Arcane Tours..

This is another reason I love this forum.. I find all this fascinating. I would love to retire early from the boring office job I do now and get a gig working with people who create this stuff. On another note: Has there been any more discussion/rumor/speculation on whether or not we are getting those games on the website? I refuse to ever whine and/or complain about what Uni is doing cuz I just love them.. but I gotta say that after last year's site, I'm a little bummed with this one.

We'll be doing the Arcane Insights on 10/12 as well! I was wondering if anyone else was doing that tour..

I have a surefire way to shorten the bathroom line because I've DONE IT - purely unintentional though.. All you have to do is pony up the $15 and take 15 minutes to get your face painted. When you walk into the bathroom looking hideous, there are women in there who will run out. It happens to me every. single. year. Because the makeup is so light, I always forget I have it on until I look in a mirror, so I'm usually wondering what the hell they're running from. Turns out, it's me. LOL

That was the most distracting "review" I've ever read. That guy was just a creep. I found it hilarious that he brags about being the creeping pervert he showed us to be, and then got all self-righteous at the end about alcohol and weed? Really? This is not a reviewer I'd really rely on too much. I plan on experiencing all HHN has to offer and judge for myself anyway. I mean, I already bought my tickets.. so I don't want to miss a thing. If it sucks, I'll only go one night.

I hope for fog.. lots and lots of fog. I would assume the bathrooms are "safezones".. although, we always get our faces painted (so fun!), and every time we walk in the bathroom, we get at least two or three screams. Very amusing.
