We have two announcements left -The Wizard of Oz original, Scary Tales -The Horrors of Blumhouse (ft. Happy Death Day and The First Purge)

I am so incredibly curious how they will pull this off and what will be scaring/jumping at us. Just watched it last night and was so like that could be a good moment for the house but how will they do it...!? I am really curious about this one...hope it isn't a dud like the Exorcist was, for me anyways

I disagree Hollywood def didn't get a better deal as they have an entire house dedicated to The First Purge, the Purge is tired at Orlando however I feel it is much worse at Hollywood. Also I haven't seen Truth or Dare and Unfriended but the trailers looked God awful however I could be surprised as I am actually a defender, for now, of Happy Death Day I thought it was a cute fun movie very reminiscent of Scream Queens, tv show. I def give it a thumbs up, if you like the cheeky and bitchy side of horror-camp, like the sassy parts of AHS: Coven.

I am sorry so Hollywood's Horrors of Blumhouse is Truth or Dare and Unfriended while Orlando is getting Happy Death Day and The First Purge? Is that right? No third movie for either?

The idea sounds like The Last of Us to me which I am all about even the teaser gave me TLoU vibes. While no it isn't my most anticipated I still expect great things from it like Lightning Gultch was not a scary house to me in the slightest but still enjoyed my walkthroughs for details and scenery. Also some of my least anticipated houses have turned out to be my favorites or close.

Thank God, that would be the most horrible thing ever if Universal charged APs parking during HHN, I mean come on....that would've been terrible. After all the money I spend on AP and FFP+ lol

I am glad everyone is super hyped and the location was revealed to be a soundstage, because just from the information in the trailer and the post I just get major Giggles n Gore vibes from this house. Not necessarily a bad thing, GnG was a fun house but hardly any house I would say I would clamor to see again like Gothic or stands out in HHN history. So everyone's excitement is now giving me hype that it is more than just a GnG house and it can be something like Scarecrow and Dead Waters aesthetically.

Love Knott's what interesting info about the season! I too admit I initially jumped on the "What is going to happen to Scary Farm!?" bandwagon but I am sure/hope it is in capable hands also thankful Jon will be on for Scary Farm a bit longer. I am curious what houses are staying and going this year. I am sure Voodoo is out, I certainly hope so the house felt tired last year, I want Trick 'r Treat to go, the flashlight gimmick was cute but like Voodoo I don't know what else can be done to elevate it other than starting new. I know a lot of people want the Toothfairy gone too for similar reasons I listed for Voodoo and TrT but I just love the concept and find it still so fresh and hope they can spruce it up one more time. Also did anyone else think the Shadowlands had a lot less actors in it last year or was it just me? Not that I think Shadowlands is in danger this year but I hope that stays for a while as I also think that is such a unique theme and house, it is actually a theme I always wanted at HHN.

Yea I went to the website just I don't know if I am going to LA this year or not, and if I can when I can go. I already have Orlando trip booked and this year is busy for me so not sure if I can do LA or not and there lies the problem. By the time I find out the rest of the Delusion tickets will be sold out

Went to Delusion in 2016 and loved it! Was in LA for 2017 and bummed it didn't run. Not planning on being in LA for 2018 haunt season but I so want to sneak away just to see this, so jealous! Wanna buy a ticket before they are all sold out but I don't know what dates lol

2016 was an amazing event and wish I spent more time in Hollywood to experience it. 2017 was so bad I didn't even attend a night I already purchased a ticket and Front of the line pass for. 2016 gives me hope it can be better, 2017 makes me cautious....like I can't even book anything for LA/HHNHW because I need to hear reviews first and can't even chance it. So it is hard to say, like I said I have to wait to see if I can even try HHNHW again but if it is as good as 2016 it is worth it but if it is 2017 quality don't even bother. But with The First Purge announcement it doesn't inspire much confidence in me to go for it this year. Or go ahead and book something but just go to Knott's Scary Farm as that is a consistent great event and if reviews for HHNHW are positive then go there but if not then just go to Knott's Scary, it is cool and just different than HHN it felt very fresh to me the first time I went in 2016.

Well Alien and Predator I def want HHN to revisit them again, either solo or AVP is fine just wanna see them again at some time. And while we may be done with AHS for now I thought both rounds were extremely successful and as long as it doesn't become TWD status I would be ok to revisit the seasons we've seen already at some point. So yea I guess not a loss really but hate to never have them return again, despite my desires of wanting new originals and IPs

I actually enjoyed the movie Happy Death Day, I found it really cute and funny kinda like the Scream Queens tv show. I enjoyed it as a segment of Hollywood's Blumhouse, personally I thought it was stronger than the Purge section. However I don't think it could hold up as a house entirely on its own and the words I used to describe it...cute and funny, isn't really anything that strikes fear into anyone. So while I can defend the movie but a house to itself would be a bad move I think, it could be a segment in another house of horrors but not a solo.

OMG exactly! Like if that did happen I would be feeling so b**ch slapped....but I (we) always have this worry every year and the FFPs have always returned and just need to hold confidence that'll happen again, any reason we would expect otherwise this year? If anything I would just expect a price hike as that seems to be more likely than removing the pass, no?

But the way speculation is sounding with shows so unknown and up in the air. Academy of Villains won't be returning? I am sure after the fiasco last year they are a little hesitant to return. However even if they did return it isn't a B&T replacement especially if they don't take a stadium to eat up people.

I am not in on the know AT ALL but this is discussed every year and I as well also get nervous and scared if FFPs will no longer be offered since they aren't offered right away. But I bet once the buy one get one goes away we will have a better idea where we stand with FFPs but I bet we will have them again this year and released then, at least I certainly hope so! I as well rely heavily on them. I don't know who is in charge of the FFPs but I assume they know that we give plenty of money to the event and it is worth it to continue these types of tickets

So I just watched The Lost Boys for the first time and maybe my mind wasn't in the right place or idk what I was expecting but I found it well....underwhelming. I am so down for camp and such but I fail to see what this property could bring that Vamp '55 didn't already. I felt it doesn't warrant a house and it could be a cute SZ but like I said it is just Vamp '55 revisited. The vampires were basic....what is the draw that this property needs to come to HHN so bad?

So where are we with speculation? I feel (as per usual) we swing in confidence between properties but what are we confident in and now losing confidence in? I am still shocked to see Halloween going lower and lower down the totem pole of confidence, as in my mind that makes such business sense and would be such a shoe in....

Excited for this to get a house treatment, think it will only continue on the success from the street last year. Only thing I think can improve is the girls/wolves, how they were shown in the street was fine but in the house I expect some full on wolves there.
