  1. They would need small petite girls to play the role of the twins from The Shining.

  2. I will add my $0.02 about the UTH tour (have done every one since they began it in 2005). In my opinion, the best way to do it is to first go through the houses during HHN, THEN do the UTH tour on your second day and follow it up with HHN again. It's really getting to experience each house two times (before and after the backstory). As Roadkill mentioned, you'll be surprised how much mediocre houses become favorites. Plus, when you are told where the GATs are, you will better know where to look. And before anyone asks, GAT=Guest Activated Trigger. i.e. a button or device that any guest can push to cause an effect, such as one of the vines in Tomb of the Ancients last year.

  3. It's been forever since I contributed to anything on this website, but I scheduled my scareactor audition appointment today. I was really nervous to do so, but having read everything here, I'm just excited now.

  4. The latest audition email is public knowledge--specifically requesting "Female 5’ 1” and under, petite build, with youthful childlike appearance". Cindy?

  5. I have disabilities too, and was never bothered by that, knowing that there is a difference between the mentally disabled and the insane/ psychotic. About the only thing in that regard that I find offensive is when "Comedy" shows and movies try to use mean- spirited "Laugh at the retard"- type jokes and characters (i.e. Warren from 'There's Something About Mary,').

  6. We've made our own HHN playlist that we start playing pretty consistently once summer starts (and sometimes randomly throughout the year). The one song that really, really makes me think of HHN is Room of An Angel from Silent Hill. You know, that was back in the days when we would get some really cool teaser trailer for the house announcement. I didn't LOVE Silent Hill as a house necessarily, but the music is AWESOME. It's first on the list.. followed by Alessa's Harmony (also from SH), and the God Particle from Angels and Demons. Those three give me chills.. I can literally visualize huge sections of scarezones when I listen to this.. and I see it in slow motion like a video. As for express - I wouldn't go to HHN without Express.. not even going four weekends. I'm too old for that standing in line crap. Plus, it's always fun to play the game of "should we stand in the regular line for this house and save the express for later"? To see how many times we can get thru one house. Timing is everything. My record on a busy night was going thru the original AWIL 5 times in a night. Btw, still annoyed, so tweeted this:

  7. i think the white males of age range 40 to 50 will be jack since jack nicholson was 43 during filming of the movie. and 5′ 6” to 5′ 10” African American females of athletic build will probably be the voodo queen

  9. You're an idiot if you go at the beginning of the event for multiple days without the Rush of Fear + Express. Spoken by an idiot who bought single day tickets for like 7 years... And then graduated to moron with RoF without express for a couple more.... Yeah, learn from my mistakes and go early and often with RoF+Express. Can't go wrong and certainly will get your money's worth.

  10. Got a friend that is "in-the-know" but won't ever give me any details (I have to find out most things from this forum). Either he sent me this as a red herring since he knows what I'll assume, or this was some kind of reward/tease and was sent to me as a legit hint. Does anyone know if there was some kind of commercial or photo shoot recently? That would make a lot more sense if so. EDIT: Just for clarification. I don't think this was taken from inside a house. Wouldn't it be too early to have show lights? It also wouldn't make much sense for him to be inside the physical set up, which is why I ask if anyone knew of a photoshoot or commercials being shot. Double edit: This photo was shared with permission. Again, no idea what it pertains to, if anything.

  12. Discussion has died quite a bit with lack of announcements so I'll quote this from HHNU: " As reported this week by HHNU Universal needs more scareactors, so they have released a list of body types to fill unspecified scareactor roles, they include: 5′ 1” and under females with petite and youthful (childlike) appearance. 5′ 6” to 5′ 10” African American females of athletic build. 5′ 10” or taller females with a slim build. 5′ 10” to 6′ 2” slender build males with ‘facial features’ (?) able to appear 30-39. White males of age range 40 to 50. 5′ 11′ to 6′ 5” slender build males. 5′ 11′ or taller African American males of athletic build and must be tattoo free on chest, arms, abdomen, hands and neck. Male and female Stilt Walkers Maximum up to weight 190lbs. Seeking male stilt walkers 6’ – 6’ 8” in height . Must have previous BigFoot Stilt Walking Experience. Anyone have any thoughts? I'm thinking the first bullet is the twins from the Shining, the African American males that need to be free of tattoos I'm assuming is the Coven aspect of AHS. Not sure about any of the others.

  13. There are few factors that go into house selection such as space (Insidious was out because of this in '15 and TOA last year). They tend to try and go through the really popular IPs like AHS in '16 and in '14 Halloween and in '15 FvJ and a few originals. Most likely we will see Shining on this years list. As far as if it will happen in the morning or afternoon tours that I'm not sure. Also on a side note (to complain a little) I'm seeing memories on like FB pop up about past house announcements and it's making me more upset that we've reached this dry spell with no communication from marketing. I understand if they don't want to announce a house, but maybe start teasing something. You can tell a major difference now that Mike is not tweeting much any more about HHN.

  14. I have mental disability too, and I don't mind the "asylum" stuff. The truth is that the mental disabled crowd is so diverse that you can't really just look at a few representatives and get a actuate summery of all of them.

  15. i swear Ive seen a Wolfman walk through from Orlando before. I bet the title of the video is something other than what it should be. I loved that maze! First thing when you walked in was the gypsy's trailer...

  16. Not to be that guy, but you've been talking to a multiply disabled and mentally ill person this whole time, and they REALLY need to drop the 'asylum' crap. 'Psychopaths' as you call them don't represent us because they are from the violent past, when you didn't see us in public because our families shut us away in places like that. Still happens today, just not so much anymore. So....yeah. If you aren't mentally ill, I would understand why you aren't offended, but don't go around saying it ISN'T a shitty trope that needs to die.

  17. Well according to HHNU today's the day. Will we see an announcement? And if so what will it be? I'd laugh my head off if something not on the current suspected list is announced - would really stir things up!

  18. The first year I went to HHN was 2012 the first Sunday in October me and some friends were doing a bachelor party weekend and went to a Bucs game in Tampa and on the way back decided to go. We didn't get express, didn't even know it was a thing until I saw 2 lines for all the houses. The lines were pretty bad and one of my friends was dogging the event all night because of the waits. I Promised myself if I ever got to go back had get an express pass. Ive been lucky to go twice since and will never go again without an express pass. I only go for a weekend from New Orleans, so if I want to see everything and still enjoy everything I have to. I'm going this year and will definitely be getting express again. ive never been on the UTH tour and was thinking of doing that also. Can someone give me an idea of how long is the tour? Any word if pics will be allowed?

  19. I know for me, having the Express pass makes me able to appreciate the event ambiance a little bit more. The first night is always "MUST DO ALL OF THE HOUSES" since we've waited so long. But once I've seen everything, I like to engage more with the scarezone actors and people watch. I think one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life is one of the Chainsaw Rednecks last year in Springfield making a 200-lb jock sprint about 50 yards. It's those little things that having Express tends to give me. But I can see how planning better would help. However, I live in Orlando, so my cost is only admission and then alcohol and merch. No flights or hotels (except Hard Rock for my birthday in October!).

  20. And drinking!!! speaking of which my only drunk person experience was in 2013 my first year with express and there was a huge guy probably in his 40s or 50s waiting in the regular line and as he saw me and my wife walking up he yelled to the people around him "the next person who passes by in the fastlane I'm knocking out!!!" He then stared me down and said "I guess that's you!! I need another drink" and then lunged at me, I never stopped walking so he wasn't even close. I'm surprised there isn't more incidents because more people are drinking there than not

  21. Ok but in those college kid's defense, most of them are in the College Program and trust me, they need to get drunk at Epcot on their days off to survive being an intern there.
