  1. Bill & Ted is hilarious and was a respite for people like me who need a break from the scares/chills for during HHN. The fiance and I even made "They have ____ with their tails shirts!" and we reference the show all year long. Heck, we are walking into our wedding reception to "We Will Rock You/Victorious." The only positive thing I see is that Jason Ryan Perry (Ted 2008-2015) may be returning this year.
  2. B&T is my favorite part of HHN. I honestly can't imagine the event without it.
  3. Sorry but I couldn't pass up this pic, since I literally say this all the time.
  4. TheLadyGator and UsherBScary: M/E/D all days UTH tour 10/13 - Morning/Afternoon Dates we will be at HHN (unless something comes up) September: 15, 17, 21, 22, 24, 29 October: 1, 5, 6, 8, 12, 13, 19, 20, 22, 26, 27, 29, 31 November: 3, 4
  5. I know someone recently mentioned meeting up with people from HNN for the event. Has anyone ever created something like a FB group or calendar so every night of the event, we could see who was going and maybe split into two groups (Express/Regular). My fiance and I have FF+ with Express and are always looking for people to join us. I'm a total wuss, but I have a great appreciation for the scareactors and the storyline that HHN A&D creates. I always feel less like a wuss when there are more people around me Would really like a way to meet up with some of you.
  6. The fiancé and I were at universal today and tried as hard as we could to find hints for HHN27. We found the Lair of the Banshee stuff again but that was it. We even looked behind Barney and Simpsons for clues. Whatever they are planning for this year, they are keeping it close to the vest.
  7. I agree, Uni Marketing either had to put way more money into other campaigns, or they tried something different and failed. I grew up in Florida and even though I never went as a kid because I was (and still kind of am) a total wuss, I still remember the iconic television ads that were run about Jack and the Usher and the Caretaker. It seemed cohesive and iconic. The billboards for it were cohesive and scary. I just can't believe that you create a month long countdown for a sweepstakes...I used to work in marketing for a Uni competitor in Orlando and I just can't fully fathom the thought process behind this...
  8. So the countdown was essentially the beginning of this sweepstakes?! Are you freaking kidding me?!?!?!
  9. Anyone else notice this? Enter once daily for the chance to win the Halloween Horror Nights™ 2017 Sweepstakes. Plus, access new content, special opportunities and rewards mere mortals will never know.
  10. My rankings: 1-Ash vs Evil Dead ( I mean, look at my avatar) 2-Shining 3-Angels/Demons 4-Harvest of the Souls 5-AHS (I loved last years house) 6-Bayou of Blood 7-Black eyed children (Not so sure what this will even be yet) 8-Jigsaw 9-Blumhouse (I'm terrified of lipstick face)
  11. Sorry for being off-topic, but I feel like this video accurately describes most people in this thread. https://www.facebook.com/realpettymayo/videos/1946221968983604/
  12. I have a couple more moments from last year's event that our my favorites: 1.) In Lair of the Banshee, the "Tiger" faced guy must've recognized me since I'd gone about 20 nights over the course of event. I swear he must've been looking for me because, after the first couple of times that he'd gotten me, I'd make sure to look around for him. Somehow, almost EVERY SINGLE TIME he'd end up right behind me and growl loudly into my ear. On one of the last night's I was like "Dude, you've gotten me like 10 times over the course of HHN" and he bowed back at me. I find this ironic because on my first time walking through the scare zone, he seemed to have the least scary costume. 2.) Halloween II - My fiance and I were walking through the house for probably the second time. His greatest fear is Michael Myers and I'm not really affected by slasher flicks so I felt a little cocky compared to him. When we were walking through one of the hospital hallways, I could see Michael just standing and waiting at the end of what appeared to be a very long hallway and I waved because I thought it was bad show that I could see him. Well, it turned out to be a mirror and within a second he was up in my face. The look on my fiance's face was priceless, and I learned to never taunt scareactors. 3.) I think all of Vamp 55 was just amazing. From the greasers singing Johnny Be Good to the Homecoming Court girls yelling about who got the crown, to the marching band girl holding the cymbals who somehow always ended up behind me. Just a fantastically fun experience. *In a childlike voice* It's a small world after all.....
  13. My favorite interaction last year was in Survive or Die on the last night. We had interacted with some of "Mother's" followers so they told us to follow them and introduced us to mother. She had my attention and was asking me what "attributes" I had that could help mother. Then one of the "minion" scareactors got behind me when I was pledging my allegiance to "Mother" and in the loudest/highest pitch possible goes "ARE YOU SMART?!?!" I nearly fell over from the shock. My fiance and I still talk about that interaction.
  14. We've got a new Tweet for Ifrit that I think is interesting. "For San Fran, and what it Features Look no further than its Creatures" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creature_Features#KTVU-Channel_2_.28San_Francisco.29 It looks like what we thought was a simple 1950's Sci-Fi could be classic Universal Horror movies from the 1930s and 1940s, like Dracula, Frankenstein and others. Plus several old films like King Kong, Son of Kong, and the original Mighty Joe Young. They also aired all the movies produced and distributed by American International Pictures. This included all the Roger Corman B-movies of the 1950s and 1960s like The Raven, and The Terror, plus most of the Japanese "monster movies" produced by Toho Studios, and Daiei Motion Picture Company (famous for their Godzilla and Gamera movies). They also broadcast all the best British horror films by Hammer Film Productions, like The Curse of Frankenstein, Dracula: Prince of Darkness, The Phantom of the Opera, The Curse of the Werewolf, and The Hound of the Baskervilles. Later, during the 1970s, Amicus Productions, and Tigon British Film Productions produced such films as Dr. Terror's House of Horrors, and The House That Dripped Blood, which became popular. Creature Features also aired many "nuclear monster" and "space alien" science fiction movies. Created in the 1950s these movies were based on the idea of giant mutant monsters or aliens from outer space terrorizing Earth. These included Attack of the 50 Foot Woman, The Amazing Colossal Man, Them!, Tarantula, The Thing from Another World, It Came from Outer Space, The War of the Worlds, Forbidden Planet.
  15. Newest Tweet from Ifrit: "Here is the last one for the Ave 1 of 5 homes, the clones will have" I feel like this contradicts since his previous tweet stated each stage will have a clone, now this one states only one will have a clone?
  16. I believe it means important people...but what kinds? The word "Station" reminds me of royalty, but he says that the Avenue of Stars is the perfect location...so scary Dead famous people? That would be fun!
  17. I have a strong feeling that Despacito ft. Justin Bieber will be featured as one of the songs at the end.
  18. I just had another thought relating to there being no icon for HHN 27. Last year, AoV replaced the icon stage show that existed for Jack the year before. A lot of people were upset that Chance didn't get her own show, and only a scarezone and house. With the rumors pointing very strongly that AoV will be returning, Universal may have decided to forgo icons while AoV is still popular, that way they don't take the spotlight away from a true icon. Those are just my 2 cents.
  19. Well 27 hasn't happened yet, and 23 and 24 didn't have an icon so yes I think he is trying to hint that there will be no icon for 27. I agree with your hypothesis that they are only listing the two most recent years so as not to alienate people who haven't been to as many HHNs. I tried seeing what those years had in common, and the only thing is the lack of an icon.
  20. FYI, the fiancé and I visited Universal tonight and a team member all but officially confirmed the Scarecrow/Dustbowl house. I pressed him about others but he didn't know.
  21. So does this mean there will be no icon for the event? Or was this just a teaser? Website also has been updated.
  22. UO Tech Guy: "I can't get the website up" HHN Twitter Guy: "It's ok, I'll just banter with them until September"
  23. Lol I know, it's either an announcement or the biggest troll ever.
