  3. I've been a gamer for awhile, I got my first Playstation for Christmas in 1998. I have always been a fan of horror, my parents still laugh to this day that my favorite movie as a kid was Child's Play. They would bring me to the video rental store and I wanted to rent that movie EVERY time we went, while my sister picked out a Barney tape or something like that. So for some reason scary movies didn't scare me, I found them fascinating. I considered myself immune to all things horror, I laughed at adults that would tell me "That's too scary for children". For my birthday I got to pick out two new video games. This is when I discovered that they made horror video games! You can imagine how excited I was. I convinced my parents to let me get them. I got Alone In the Dark: The New Nightmare, and Silent Hill. To my surprise, I was actually terrified of playing them, even in broad daylight. So scared in fact that I gave up on playing Alone In The Dark and gave it to my cousin who was like 10 years older than me. But there was something about Silent Hill that I loved. It terrified me, but I found the whole world so interesting that I couldn't bare to give it away. I kept the game, but didn't play it again until a few years later. I can remember my little heart beating like crazy in my 12-13 year old chest. Silent Hill was the first thing I was ever scared of but fascinated by at the same time. That is why I can't wait for this house. I can't remember ever being this excited and nervous about a house. I'm sure other people have this feeling when going into a house they know if full of something they're scared of (clowns, the dark, etc..) but I don't have any of those fears. When in the queue there will be a little 12 year old inside me digging her heels into the dirt, screaming to not go in. I'm sure my heart will race and I will get anxious. i can't wait

  4. Well, Grimp0nd and I were tossing around some ideas about the SZ, and we wondered how the "tribes" might involve us in their friendly neighborhood war. He suggested that it might be "capture the flag", and our flags might be color coded wristbands (you know, the kind that have to be cut off?). What if they did that, and the wristband colors were tied to the colors used to identify the actors' roles in the SZ? You know, CP=Carnation Pink, BY=Buttercup Yellow, PG=Puke Green? (I think that last one may be in error...). That would be an interesting way to tie the color coding further into the event. Total spitball here, but that could be an obscene amount of fun

  5. If you have the male symbol near the symbol for Jupiter, doesn't that suggest the symbol for Mars? Which brings the following verses to mind: "When the moon is in the seventh house and Jupiter aligns with Mars..."

  10. Chris is right, I do not know all. Last year at this time I knew all the houses and scarezones as well as the Icon, but did not know about Death Drums. I had heard about something in the streets and there was even a rumor about parade, but the actual show was still a surprise. This year I still do not know what the Icon will be and have no idea what is happening on the Beetlejuice stage. ___________________ Wouldn't it be awesome if the Beasts turned out to be Werewolves with Chainsaws? What a neat tribute that would be to Chainsaw Wolf!

  12. You may have noticed a lot of posts have been removed for being unrelated to speculation, please keep it on topic. We have general areas of the forums to discuss other things. Also, complaining about speculation will also be removed, we know how it gets, as it's been like this for years. Couple more weeks and we should have a full reveal, hang in tight!

  14. We're assuming it's for a house, based upon the similar teaser pictures we received last year. Plus, the caption mentioned the previous four houses as a give-away that this was a hint for a house. Also: There's a new picture on that Instagram account that contacted JW today. Picture is here. Comment underneath says:

  15. I believe there is a camera on him on his website. As for the claims, I may not believe all that has been said about him, but he does have a presence to him. One of the people who I spoke of was a skeptic as well and went on the tour because I spoke of him. She is no longer skeptical of Robert. It interests me as well. And the message is in metered voice. I shall hope we hear more from this mysterious friend. Btw, retcon is the reason I will accept nothing to eat or drink from gorgeous men in vintage military coats. Spec: I wonder if you are onto to something with Robert, Doc. Little possessed dolls can be so creepy and it would make for a great investigation into paranormal activity.

  16. The Neil Patrick Harris thing seems very interesting to me, maybe we will get more from this mysterious friend? I would also like to clear a bit up about a cryptic statement I made, "The 19th Century" was meant to refer to the Victorian mansion in the sense of when that structure would have been built. This does not necessarily mean that the HHN house is set in that era. In fact, if the investigation of whatever paranormal activity is expected to be going on in that mansion is carried out by a certain team of collective investigators it seems far more likely that this will be going on in the present day. Unless they totally retcon the history of that organization, which I believe was founded by a certain detective after events that occurred in the late 1950s.

  17. If that doll ever shows up anywhere near HHN, I would seriously consider not going. He does travel. He made a trip up to the Belleview Biltmore in Clearwater during a Paranormal Convention. The TAPS guys were there and I wanted to go, but I found out Robert would be in attendance. I didn't go. That doll freaks me out. Even pictures of him give off bad juju. And I know people who have gone on the Key West Ghost Tour he's apart of. They've had weird experiences while in his presence.

  18. So PIRKA said she was prob wrong and said to take it with a grain of salt and you still need to feel like making her feel stupid? Come on CNYHHN315 really think about what your going to type before you type it... Like think about it hard for a second... Back on with the Speculation... What if they do have an Icon and they stareted to do an Icon Type show in the BJ spot... think that would bring in the people? If the Vortex is in this house then it probably sends us back to the Victorian era... I say probably but really mean hopefully lol

  21. Well I guess you could consider this HHN related. About 3 years ago I started making a silent hill nurse mask. The picture is after I had finished the first base coat, eventually I did paint the whole thing but I don't have any pictures on this computer, maybe I can take one tomorrow and post it here. I stopped the project at that point bc I thought I could do better and started on another. Got pretty much done with construction on the second mask but then I moved and haven't touched them since. Maybe I should finish them? The only thing the first one really needs in a hat.

  22. So I just watched the movie "Silent Hill" for the 2nd time (.....in 6 years). I was surprised that for having not seen it since it was in theaters, I remembered the whole thing. I will say this though... I'm probably going to crap myself when I hear that damn siren. Maybe they'll do something similar to the effect that was done in 2006's Scareapy. Every 15 minutes you'd hear Jack's "pop goes the weasel" theme and then the power would go out and you'd be in complete darkness for a few seconds. So replace the music with the siren & do some type of blackout effect and yea....
