  2. Although I am very curious to see how P&T will be translated into a house, I firmly believe that it can be not only awesome and fun, but scary. Saying that it's a step to far or just not possible is ridiculous, and it makes me question if you've been to HHN before.. lol

  3. Why does something automatically have to be scary in order for it to be a house at HHN? That is very 1-dimensional thinking. Why is a show more appropriate than a house? How is it "bit too far"? This whole theory & notion of "ohhh that won't be scary. how can that be scary? thats not horror, thats stupid" way of thinking really needs to stop. Do you realize how many people said "a greek mythology house isn't horror" or "fairy tales aren't horror, wizard of oz isn't horror, cruise ships aren't horror" etc etc.... Here's a little inside tip for you... Not everything is required to be scary. And not everything will be scary to everyone that attends the event. While one house or scarezone may scare the living shit out of one person, the next person might find it boring. Its the same for a horror movie, some will think its scary others won't. But to say something won't be good just because you personally don't think it should be a house, doesn't mean that its true. Especially when you haven't experienced it to begin with nor do you know how exactly it will be executed. Some of the most "oh my god, that house is going to be awesome" houses end up being the worst ones. Do you realize how many people pissed & moaned about an Alice Cooper house in Hollywood & said that it would "suck" & that it was "stupid" for it to be a house... then what happened? The Alice Cooper house was the #1 rated house at HHN Hollywood last year. The point is... stop being afraid of something "new". Expand your horizons and open your mind to a new experience because if you continue to define HHN a certain way, you're going to be continually disappointed.

  5. Journey into legendary rocker Alice Cooper’s twisted mind and witness the natural melding of horror and Cooper’s four decades-long career. Here you will follow Steven, the iconic character from many of Cooper’s works, as you come face to face with a myriad of tormentors who threaten an already-decaying sense of sanity.

  6. Very nice find indeed. He just confirmed both parks. Guys lets be civil. We are all are entitled to our opinions.

  7. It will be located in a Sprung Tent. But it being 3D doesn't automatically mean it is a lesser house and is always put there. The Soundstages are for the Victorian Haunted Mansion-esque house (SS20b), gargoyle house (SS20a), & Silent Hill (SS22). Don't pre-judge the sprung tents as being a lesser location because there have been soundstages that were less impressive than one of the previous tent houses. Locations for houses depend on what they intend to do, but Alice Cooper Goes To Hell will work just fine with its Sprung Tent location.

  8. Yes! Orginal ideas (for me) are the best house. Dont know why but they just add that element of stepping into the unknown! Dont shoot me down again please just opinions haha

  9. I completely agree with Karras. It's not about whether the houses are "original" or not...it's not even about the idea necessarily. Great ideas can be executed horribly, and so-so ideas can be executed insanely well. It's all about the execution and interpretation...and that's A&D's job. I think everyone needs to focus a little less on the OH-MY-GOD-IT'S-IP-AND-NOT-ORIGINAL-WTF aspect, and just put a little faith in A&D. They know what they're doing, and they know how to scare us...my faith is in them, not the category the houses may be placed in. That being said, I think your analysis is an interesting one...it takes the entire argument of original vs. non original houses and puts it in a new light. There is value in that. But we also need to remember that the "value" of a house, or the "scare factor" if I may, is a subjective thing. And there's proof of that all throughout the forum. Ultimately, we all find different things to be scary, and while we may have similar experiences in the same house, we will all come out with differing opinions of it. Some houses throughout the years have been deemed the scariest by far...others have been shunned forever as failures. But take those "scariest" houses, and I'll show you someone who thought they were cake; take the "failures", and I'll show you someone who still has nightmares about them. I'll stop rambling bc I tend to do that, but my question is... Does it really matter whether the houses are original, or sort-of-original, or IP, or whatever else? What truly makes a good house to begin with: the idea, or the execution? Or both? Good points though...liking this thread

  10. I don't think your narrow minded at all, your just stating what is your opinion...and isn't that what these discoussions are all about? That being said, a P&T house...eh, not sure how I feel about it. Their act does have a very dark side to it, which leads me to believe that they could turn that dark side into a creative force and help create a house based on their own original concepts. As with many of the houses in the past, can't say either way what it will be like till I've been through it.

  11. This is probably the most narrow minded post on this site.

  13. I might be completely wrong but I dont think it will all that good, obviously it hasnt been made and no one has experienced it but I just cant see how P&T can be scary?! Its off the cards but a show is much more appropiate, a house is a step a bit too far.

  14. I might of missed something in these forums and sorry to say but where is the evidence to suggest P&T are going to be there 100%? Im not sure if I like the idea of this (if it is in fact true) I can't see it being that good at all. Alice cooper I can understand but P&T is a bit of a weird one for me.

  15. There is no house switching at the last minute... except for the 7th house. Unless you expect to see a house on the dirt pile with the giant crane that was once SS44... The only house that was "switched at the last minute" was the one now inside the Parade Building.

  16. P&T has not been nuked from the roster. It is 100% they will be there and it's not a show as Legacy said. But I will assume they will bring some of their Glitter Gulch ways with them. They are a magic show after all... but I'm hoping to see other dimensions of what they can do rather than the typical stuff they are known for.

  17. I know, that was exactly what movie I was thinking of, but didn't want to say it... since its supposed to be "original" and I didn't want to jump start the whole "LT" house comparison. although Poltergeist is one of the recurring rumors on the Hollywood side of the event.... and that one scene would match with "Wrong Side of the Bed"

  18. Well this might have been said, but someone through at me today, "hey since its 100 years of universal, why aren't they doing 100 years of monsters?" Universal Museum/house of Horror anyone?

  19. Oh, derp...How sure are we that we're getting Penn & Teller though? Also, wouldn't it make more sense to have them do a show instead of a house?

  21. You know what would be awesome as a Dead Exposure type house? A Doctor Who house based on the Weeping Angels, and the camera flashes being imagined as blinking. Would be awesome.

  22. What if the scarezone is like an extension, it could be fog world/other world, and then when you go in the house it begins to transition. You could enter the queue line for the house through the scarezone.

  23. I would watch one of the numerous run through on silent Hill 3 (or play it) The movie is decent but by watching/playing sh 3 it will prepare you for the house and the new movie (as long as the house is based off the new movie... based on SH3).
