"POINT OF EVIL- As you enter Halloween Horror Nights, there are attractive women dancing on stages. Creepy music being piped through the entrance to Halloween Horror Nights causes an eerie sense of foreboding and fear. The point of evil is heavily covered in fog, making it hard to find your way through. Black and blue aliens, who are planted behind rocks and trash cans, jump out at you when you least expect it, providing some good scares to get you ready for the evening of horror you are about to experience. There are attractive women walking on stilts in this area of Halloween Horror Nights. They call out to guests in highly magnified voices, and their insults are very amusing. This area had a very neat, creepy, eerie feel to it, and it set the stage for a night of scares and thrills.

DISORIENTORIUM- You enter this maze through a spinning vortex tunnel. The tunnel turns slowly, and has a very disorienting effect on you, causing you to feel a bit dizzy. Next, you enter a dark hallway, where the walls literally try to suffocate you. This is due to air tubes that are in the walls. After making it through this hallway, you enter an ink blot strobe room. The strobes are heavy here, and actors dressed as inkblots, who blend in well with the room, pop out at you, causing you to feel alarmed. Next, you enter a room where there are neon color balls all over the walls, and hanging from the ceiling. Camoflauged actors jump out at you and scream, which was quite disturbing. Next, you enter a room where there are paint splats all over the walls. There are mannequins here, and actors dressed just like the mannequins, who run at you and scream. Next, you enter a sparkling mirror room, which is very confusing. You then enter a mirror maze, much like the one from last year's Funhouse of Fear. The maze is confusing, and you bump into glass a few times as you try to find your way out. There are Treaks and Foons in this portion of the maze. Is that one way down there, or is it right next to you? The mirror trick is effectively used here. Finally, you enter a hallway with red, white, and yellow silk sheets on both sides. Actors dressed like birds jump out at you from both sides. Finally, you escape from this maze.

FIELD OF SCREAMS- You enter a weathered, worn looking cornfield. To your right, there is an old trailer, with an old, ugly hag standing out in front of it. She calls to you" Come here honey, come inside for a while". As you walk through the cornfield, you hear the sound of a child calling out for help. You also hear cornstalks cracking as unseen people walk through the cornfield, stalking you. You then begin encountering members of a weird hillbilly farming family, most of whom have chainsaws. The farmers look brutal, have blood on their faces, and don't look too happy that you're trespassing in their cornfield. They chase you, snarl at you, and say things like" Get out of my cornfield boy!". If you're unlucky, they rev up their chainsaws, and chase you through much of the cornfield. There are scarecrows hiding throughout the cornfield, who will jump out at you when you're not paying attention, such as when you're distracted by one of the hillbilly farmers. There are also pumpkin headed scarecrows, who appear to be props, but, as soon as you start to think that they are props, they will start to chase you. You finally escape from the winding, frightening trails of the Field of Screams.

HORROR IN WAX- As you approach an old wax museum, there is a large screen showing clips from Universal"s classic black and white horror movies, such as Dracula and Wolfman. At the entrance to the wax museum, there is a CLOSED sign, and there are trash cans and an old shopping cart on near the entrance. There is also a mechanical voice repeating" welcome to the hall of horrors, we have monsters from the 1930s". As you enter, there are statues of a few classic monsters, such as the Phantom of the Opera.
There is a wax faced creature in a bell hop suit in this first hallway. He stands as still as a statue, but beware, he is holding a stick, which he will swing at you when you're not looking. The next hallway has some more classic monsters, each in its own cubby hole, on both sides of the hallway. Which ones are real, and which ones are fake? That is the question which plagues you as you walk down this dimly lit hallway. On your right, Bride of Frankenstein leans over and screams in your ear. Then, on your left, the Frankenstein monster himself leans over and tries to grab you. You rush out of the hallway and into a dense forest-like area. The Wolfman attacks you from the left, and a horrible wax faced creature attacks from the right. You then enter the Mummy portion of this maze, which involves a couple of dimly lit, creepy, tomb-like hallways. In each of these hallways, a wax faced creature jumps out at you. You then enter a really dark hallway where another horrible wax creature tries to get you. Next, you enter Dr. Frankenstein's laboratory. There are wax faced creatures with drills here, and they cause you some anxiety, as the noise they make when they put the drill on metal is quite loud and jarring. In the next room, a wax creature jumps out at you from the right, and in front of you there is another wax creature on a coffin. This wax creature aims an air gun at you as you make your way through this room. After another short hallway, you enter the wax dipping room. A man in a white lab coat stands on top of a wax dipping vat, and talks about his wax museum, and about how he is turning people into wax figures. He serves as a good distraction, so that a horrible wax creature hiding in a display case to your left, as well as a wax creature crouching right next to the vat, can get you. A wax creature hanging on a rope also pops out of the wax dipping vat. As you leave this room, and think you are safe, another wax creature comes at you from the right, and shines a flashlight in your face, so you can see how disfigured its face is. You then walk through a small hallway where clothes are hanging heavily on both sides. You hear and feel frequent, loud bursts of compressed air, causing you to rush through this area. In the next room, there's a display case with several heads on display. One of them, however, is a live wax creature, who will make your escape from this room unlikely. After that, you enter a really dark room, where more wax creatures jump at you from both sides, shining flashlights so you can get even more freaked out, because of how horribly mangled and disfigured their faces are. Finally, you enter a room in which there are many hanging sheets with names of classic monsters on them. This room has heavy fog and strobe lights in it. Classic monsters, such as Dracula, as well as wax creatures, pop out from behind the hanging sheets, and reach for you. One of them, who is crawling on the floor, reaches for your ankles. You finally escape from the wax museum, and into the night air.

GHOST TOWN- Outside, a large screen shows violent scenes occurring in the western town of Lightning Gulch. There are gunfights, hangings, and numerous other violent occurrences. A vicious lightning storm strikes the town of Lightning Gulch, and floods wash the town away, killing everybody in it. Then, you see newspaper clippings, which talk about strange happenings in the Gulch, such as figures being sighted in the supposedly abandoned ghost town. You then enter the town of Lightning Gulch. You find yourself on a ranch in the town. A lone ghost cowboy stands behind a low wooden fence on your left. In front of you, there is a saloon, with an old rocking chair, and bones hanging under the roof. The cowboy says" Welcome, idiots, to Lightning Gulch. This town is haunted, and if I were you, I'd turn around and go back where I came from. Don't touch anything here, or you'll be stuck here forever, like me." Then, when someone said it wouldn't be that bad to be stuck there, the ghost cowboy said" I'm not very pleasant to be around. I'll make you shovel my horse's poop every day". The ghost cowboy then follows you, leaning on his stick, giving you an ominous glare. He also says" You look scared, and you're not even in there yet. The real screaming will begin soon". You then enter the saloon. A lady jumps out at you from the right as you enter. The bartender, who is wiping off the bar, glares at you. He then follows you down the bar, and squirts you with some air and water from a beer tap. A ghost cowboy then runs out at you from behind a piano. You escape from the saloon into a long, dimly lit hallway, with many doors on both sides. You hear loud screaming, as well as loud bursts of lightning as you walk down this hallway. Residents of Lightning Gulch jump out at you from the doorways, shouting random things like" Stay the night". You then turn right and enter the town's general store. A ghostly little girl, who is holding a teddy bear, jumps out at you from the left, and asks "Wanna play?". As you walk further into the general store, there is a salesman on your left, and a cook on your right, who is hiding behind roach infested shelves of canned goods. The salesman catches your eye, and follows you through the store. When you reach the end of the counter, he reaches for you, and says" Your escape plan didn't work". The cook, who also followed you, reaches for you and says" Stay the night". You then enter the town jail. The warden is sitting in a chair, shouting at prisoners and grinning menacingly at you. His face glows green. You then pass between two cells, where the criminals of Lightning Gulch, reach for and yell insults at you. After turning another couple corners, you enter the room where the town's carpenter works. As you enter, he reaches for you from the left, saying" Burials, cremations, embalming's". There are a few upstanding wooden coffins on your right. A ghost cowboy jumps out from behind them, reaches for you, "and says This one looks just right for you". You then leave the carpenter room. As you leave, the carpenter leans over, and whispers in your ear" Don't dally now". You then enter the town's butcher shop. You hear loud chopping sounds, and push through large slabs of rotting cows to make your way through this room. The butcher reaches for you as you try to escape. You then enter the barns, where you hear the sounds of horses neighing, and the smell of fresh horse manure hits your nose. You see a cowboy hanging in front of you. Another cowboy jumps out at you from a stable on your right. You then enter the mine shaft, which has caved in. Ghostly miners on both sides reach for you, asking for help. The small light in the shaft suddenly goes out, and loud, strong burst of air hit you. The ground beneath you also starts to tremble and shake. You rush out of the mine shaft, and enter a churchyard, where a few cowboys come after you from both sides. You then see an open coffin in front of you. A ghostly lady reaches at you from the left, and one last cowboy jumps at you from the right, in a finale attempt to keep you stuck in the town of Lightning Gulch forever. Luckily, you manage to escape out into the cool night air.

FRIGHT YARD- You enter an area where loud music is playing, and there are many rusty, metal objects. Grisly, bloody men pursue you as you make your way through this area. Some of them have chainsaws, and chase you through practically the entire fright yard. Others have trash can lids, which are used effectively. Sometimes, one of the grisly men will drag a trash can lid on the ground, making you step back. Other times, the actors will work together to give you a scare. An example was when the man with a hammer and a nasty look on his face, along with a trash can lid guy, cornered a woman. While she was distracted by them, a man with a chainsaw came up behind her and revved that chainsaw up loud. There is a porta potty that splashes water at everyone within any reasonable distance of it. Better hope you can move quick when you reach that area of this scarezone, or you will be getting wet. The actors here jump at you from behind large containers of junk, and often corner you, or follow you for a long time, with a very menacing expression on their faces. There was a particular chainsaw actor here who chased me through almost the entire fright yard. I rushed to get in front of a large group of people, and felt relieved only after I was safely out of the fright yard.

HELLGATE PRISON- In front of Hellgate Prison, there is a large screen, which depicts conditions inside the prison, as well as some interesting comments being made by Warden Robert L. Strickland. Strickland says things like " You will not speak, unless spoken to by me or one of my guards. Speaking without permission is a punishable offense, attempted escape is a punishable offense, insubordination is a punishable offense, and punishment can range from a little stay in the hole to death by electrocution in the arms of Old Smoky. Some have said that a week behind the bars of Hellgate Prison is like a decade in hell itself. Well, we try. Once you're inside Hellgate Prison, you belong to me. Welcome to my world.". And, with respect to electrocutions, he says"I personally pull the switch on everyone of those scum sucking, well deserving maggots, sending flesh charring, man made electricity through their bodies until they are dead. Cruel, unusual, punishment? Maybe, but somebody's got to do it." There is a bright searchlight that shines over the area in front of the prison. You then enter Hellgate Prison. There is glass on both sides of you, and an inmate is behind the glass on each side. The one on the right is huge, with a beard, and the one on the left is small, and has a Mohawk haircut. They bang on the glass and say things like" Soap on a rope, don't drop the soap". You then enter a short hallway, where an inmate jumps out at you. Next, you enter a smoky room, where a large, menacing looking inmate is hugging a large, hanging bag. He catches your eye, and follows you, still holding the bag. You then enter a hallway, where inmates have broken out of their cells. An inmate on the left, who is slightly below floor level, squirts you with an air gun. Another inmate, who is walking down the hall towards you, glares at you, and follows you for a while, jumping at you before he leaves you alone. You then enter the medical section of the prison. A bearded inmate is on one of the beds, saying" Where's my doctor?". He jumps from one bed to the other, muttering crazy things. He distracts you, and an inmate who is hiding behind a curtain on the right side of the room jumps out at you. You then enter the boiler room, where an older inmate with glasses squirts you with strong bursts of air. You then enter the back corridors of the prison. You enter an area where one side of the hallway is padded. You hear screaming, and an inmate pops out at you through a small break in the padded wall. Another inmate follows you with an insane grin on his face, causing you to panic. You then enter the execution chamber. An inmate is being electrocuted, and his body shakes like crazy, and sparks fly everywhere. If you stop and stare for too long, one of the female guards will yell" Move along!". You then enter the furnace room of the prison, where it is hot, steamy, and foggy. A couple of inmates reach out at you, and try to make you a permanent resident of Hellgate Prison. You then see an opening ahead, which is blocked by a burly, menacing prisoner. He forces you to go one way or the other, blocking one of the ways with a snarl on his face. You go through a short area with chain link fence on both sides of you, blinking strobes, and inmates rapping on the fence, yelling stuff like" I killed a boy that looked just like you last week", and reaching for you. You then run out of Hellgate Prison, escaping from the riot, with a prisoner running after you.

CASTLE VAMPYR- Outside, there is a screen on which a man is talking about this history of vampires, as well as about protective measures to take if you meet a vampire. He talks about having garlic and holy water handy, and about not responding if you hear your name being called. You then enter the courtyard of Castle Vampyr. There are neat gargoyle stone statues there, as well as a carriage. A vampire bride, dressed in white, stands there silently, and occasionally moves at someone. You then enter the castle. A vampire jumps at you from behind the door. You then enter a room where an attractive lady vampire is standing near the top of a staircase, staring at you. A hidden vampire jumps at you from behind some curtains. You then enter the dining room. A vampire stands in front of a long dining room table, talking about the disgusting foods that are laid out on the table. His talking serves as a distraction, and a couple vampires that are hidden in this room jump out at you. You then enter a hallway in which there are statues on both sides. Some are real, and some are fake. At one point, there's a face in a portrait on your left, and a statue on your right. Both of them are live, and they attack you. Next you, enter a bedroom, where a female vampire is laying on a bed and moaning. She serves as a distraction, and a vampire pops out from a good hiding spot and reaches for you. You then enter the castle's library. There is a vampire on a bungee cord way above you, on top of the wall. He jumps around, joking with guests. A vampire is hidden behind one of the bookcases, and will get you if you're not careful. You then enter a long hallway with billowing red curtains on both sides. Vampires jump out at you from several of these curtains. You then enter the disco room. Lights are blinking, and bodies are hanging in body bags. The entire room is splattered with blood, and dancing vampires here will make sure that you do not escape. You then enter a room where a couple of vampires who look like Nesfaratu try to get you. You then go up a staircase to the attic. Vampires on bungee cords attack you from both sides. There are especially ruthless if you are really scared, as were the girls in front of me. Then, you go down a staircase. One last vampire is hiding at the bottom of the staircase to scare anyone who thinks the haunted maze is over. You then escape into the night air.

HORROR NIGHTS NIGHTMARES- Outside, there is a large screen showing scenes from the Art of the Scare DVD. The screen also shows commercials from previous years, of Jack, Eddie, the Director, and the Caretaker. You enter the building, and see sketches and production notes for many haunted mazes from previous years. You enter a dark hallway. A staff member says" Don't dally, the Director is waiting for you". You enter a dimly lit movie theater, in which the song" You Oughta Be in Pictures" is playing. Movie theater guests are scattered throughout the theater, and have blood on their faces. They also look pretty angry. One of them slams a folding chair on the floor. A girl with blood on her face jumps out at you from behind curtains on your left. Other movie theater guests swing on ropes, and run at you as you exit the theater. You then enter a short hallway with chicken wire mesh covering the walls. An infestation display is there, with a rotting head inside a glass cage. You then enter the room where the Director himself is working on a new production. There's an electric chair on your right, and a victim reaches for you. The Director approaches you from the right. He makes his famous hand symbol , showing only his eye, and acts like he's filming you. As you try to escape, he says" Don't be so camera shy". You then exit the production area, and enter a small hallway. Next, you enter an area with carnival photo booths on both sides. You hear carnival music, and demented looking versions of Jack the clown jump out at you from the photo booths. They stare at you, and block your path for just a moment, causing you to panic. You then escape into a short hallway. Next, you enter a toy room where a few Jack the Clowns are hidden among the toys. One of them, is behind a large stuffed animal, and he pushes it at you. There is a Jack the Clown on a platform to your left, and he reaches at you. Then, a Jack the Clown who is on your right, and who is standing as still as a statue, suddenly jumps at you, and starts to follow you into the hallway. You then enter a dimly lit hospital area. The Caretaker's victims are here, as well as the Caretaker himself. The victims reach for you, and one of them appears to have lost an arm to the Caretaker's maniacal experiments. The Caretaker himself tries to stop you from leaving the room. You then enter another creepy room, where a dead body lurches at you. You are now in a graveyard. The Caretaker is on your right, and a victim of his is on your left. The victim gets close to you, and makes a really weird, chilling sound. The Caretaker shoots you with strong bursts of air as you try to escape. Next, you enter a room where human skulls and skins are all over the wall. Eddie is there, revving his chainsaw, and you here the sounds of dozens of other chainsaws as you walk through this room. Next, you enter a long hallway which is mostly boarded up on both sides. Eddie's gang, who all have chainsaws, as well as insane looks on their faces, reach for you through openings between boards, and poke their chainsaws through. Strobes are blinking heavily in this portion of the maze. You then walk through the final part of the maze, where you push through hanging, bloody bed sheets, and you can barely see where you are going. A couple of Eddie's henchman are hiding among the sheets, to make your escape more difficult. Finally, you exit the maze, only to be chased by two more of Eddie's maniacal chainsaw henchmen.

DEADTROPOLIS- Outside of this maze, there are tvs showing bloody, gory scenes, which depict zombies attacking humans, and humans turning into zombies. You enter the maze beneath a DEAD ZONE 9 sign. A van is parked in a garage, and a zombie runs around it and reaches for you. Another zombie jumps out from a door in the garage, and sprays you with a strong burst of air and water. Next, you enter a disgusting bathroom. A zombie jumps at you from a corner, and you see a zombie vomiting in a toilet. Be careful here, as there's a zombie who pokes his head into the bathroom and tries to vomit on you. You then go outside into an area where there are dumpsters and clothslines. Zombies attack you from both sides as you make your way through this area. Next, you enter the hallway of a house, where zombies are behind mostly boarded up doorways. The zombies reach at you through the small openings, and one zombie even sticks his whole body through an opening, and tries to prevent you from leaving the hallway. A zombie girl is sitting on the floor in one of these areas, clutching a teddy bear, and rocking back and forth. You then enter a kitchen, where a zombie jumps out at you from the left. Further in, you see an old lady sitting in a rocking chair. Her daughter runs at you, screaming" Help us!". The old lady also reaches for you. You then escape into a u-turn walkway, with metal and plastic is hanging over the metal. Zombies reach for you through the fence. Next, you enter a church, where a zombie reaches for you while laughing maniacally. A couple of other zombies try to block your escape. You then walk through a China town area, where a Chinese zombie reaches for you. Next, you enter a shaking, rocking subway car, where the lights blink quickly, and zombies reach for you from both sides. After this, you are in a back alley of the metropolis. A couple of zombies run out from behind trash cans and bang on them, yelling at you. Finally, you escape from deadtropolis by running through a short tunnel, where water drips on you, much like the effect from last year's Ship of screams. After exiting this tunnel, a final zombies scares those who thought they were finally safe.

MIDWAY OF THE BIZARRE- You enter the brightly lit midway and are dazzled by the many interesting sights. There is an attractive young lady dancing on a stage. While you are watching here, actors dressed completely in black jump out at you. Going further into this demented carnival, you encounter menacing clowns, who follow you, making your escape unlikely. These clowns do not merely jump out at you, but they sometimes follow you, giggling all the while. There are many other interesting oddities here, such as stilt walkers from the parade. I was startled by one of them, when I was walking, and, all of a sudden, a cape billowed out in front of me. A smiling, pretty young lady on stilts smiled down at me. There's also a carnival barker, who invites you to play dangerous games of chance. There are also sideshow freaks here, such as a guy dressed in burnt up clothes, who looks like he has been burnt badly, who will chase you if you appear to be frightened. One time, he followed me, looking quite menacing, as I entered the Midway of the Bizarre, and, while he was menacing me, a short clown, who had been crouching behind a trash can, jumped out at me. The actors really work well together, and use teamwork to provide scares. Finally, you escape from the Midway of the Bizarre"

This was my first HHN Orlando year, and while terribly written, these bring back a lot of good memories.

I wish Disorientorium was as good as that description promised.

I DO seem to recall the only cool thing about Disorientorium being some human ghosts walking across the air above you.  At least I'm totally remembering this being Disorientorium....  Am I recalling the correct maze?

I KNOW I saw this at Howl O Scream in 2008.

I've been trying to find the walkthroughs for this event, thank you for having posted this lol, I've always wanted to know about the 14 event so much after hearing a lot of things about it from other people. :)
