HHN- Creating a monster! (the in's and out's of the event)

I, as many of us, are huge fans of HHN. And just like many, I dont really know the odds and in's of who does what and how/what it takes to make the event that we all love to attend every sept/oct/sometimes nov! So I figured i'd create a thred so we can get some info on what it takes, what department is responsible for what and what really goes on from the beginning of nov to the end of sept!
