  1. I had it muted when I actually signed in. Everything seems to be fine once I'm inside though.
  2. Still no changes to the half tokens though. : ( I played a game, just to try it out, and won on the first try. Nothing happened other than I got more tokens.
  3. There's a light glowing out of the double doors in the Backroom section of the website, where you choose to step inside. First time I've noticed it since the midnight reveal.
  4. I absolutely <3 Gene Kelly. : ) I'm loving the detail that's going into this year. Hasn't felt this way since 2008.
  5. I know a lot of members have already voiced this, but I do agree that iconic scare zones are probably a new trend that'll stick around for a little while in our New Era of Darkness. I've yet to see it, but conceptually it's a nice hybrid between the unique style of 2004 and the overall marketing perks of the Expansions and Iconic Eras. The general public gets their photo opportunity, marketing and advertising get their gimmicks, the fan community and the veteran scare-actors get more original content and creativity per-attraction across the board because of the former. I'm willing to give this a try and keep my mind opened. Very willing.
  6. 1.) Acid Assault -this just sounds like a really neat idea to me- 2.) Nightmaze 3.) Grown Evil -third on my list even though I'm in it- 4. Canyon of Dark Souls 5.) 7 6.) Your Luck Has Run Out
  7. 1.) Nightingales: Blood Prey 2.) The In Between 3.) H.R. Bloodengutz Presents: Holidays of Horror 4.) The Forsaken 5.) Nevermore: The Madness of Poe 6.) Winter's Night: The Haunting of Hawthorn Cemetery 7.) The Thing 8.) Saws n Steam: Into the Machine
  8. Thanks, Mark! : ) I'm actually a little self-conscious about them. Like, I fear that I might be one of the crazy cat ladies types in the HHN community, except instead of cats it's arts and crafts. lol I'll be walking around campus and see a HHN newspaper machine insert this time of year and think to myself, "What's the least obvious way that I can get my hands on that?" : P The answer is after dark, by the way.
  9. It's the deep purple card on FaceBook. Perhaps our supernatural force in or around the WWI field hospital?
  10. Thank you! : ) This stuff was in boxes for a while though. By the time I left my old apartment I really had no room left to work on them, so a lot of stuff I collected in 2009 and 2010 went without proper cataloging or sorting. Some of it you'd have sworn was garbage, so I'm happy that it all meshed so well together. lol Are the pictures of your collection still up?
  11. Hey! I tried messaging you, but couldn't. I just got all of those pins and buttons through Kyle and Tommy, so it really depends on what item you had in mind. I don't have extras of anything, so I'd be creating more wholes to eventually fill. But if you were talking about the 2008 cloisonne or the 2009 staff pin, then I'm all ears. My preference is straight forward buying though. Let me know!
  12. Right back at'cha. : ) Sometimes it's hard to communicate, especially in the houses, but a lot of us appreciate you guys just as much as you appreciate us. Entertainment is an interesting industry because each of it's individual components must be of equally consistent and great quality. You can't get away with one part being of lesser value than the total sum. Even though this community is in the minority of people who come every year, scare-actors would be dealing with only the general public if it didn't exist. People would get so sick of the constant abuse they were taking that our numbers would drop like flies. And without enough actors, the experience no longer lives up to its reputation. Same goes for the content. We'd look awfully out of place without ambiance or setting, which gets funded partially by the quantity of general public attendance. It's all a delicate, symbiotic relationship.
  13. Below is my shadowbox of pins and patches that I've collected since I started working the event. And here is a box of general release, limited edition, and staff pins/buttons that I've begun to collect via The Collective. I'm still missing two, hence why they are not in shadowboxes of their own yet. I'm just going to collect from the Expansions Era forward. And here's my 2010 Publix glass graphic that was a pain in the butt to frame. Took multiple attempts and ideas to get it to look alright. And, finally, here's my bat! And other HHN/HNN artsy-fartsy stuff that I've made. The cards are actually a pin that I made to wear to my audition this year, and the lanyard is just something I made to wear to VUDUCON and HNN Meetups.
  14. Alright, I can resist no longer. I was going to wait until after this year's run finished, but watching everyone post pictures of their awesome collections makes me want to share too. Hope you enjoy! I've spent the past two weeks updating my scrap books, and I'm really proud of their progress so far. I've got three books that are about fifty pages total. The first book is The Dead Inn (a haunted house that I worked in 2006) and HHN 2008. The second book is HHN 2009 and 2010. The third book is HHN 2010 continued and HHN 2011. I didn't take pictures of every page, just the ones that I though turned out particularly well. A lot of the things you'll see are either magazine articles and advertisements or internal scraps that I pilfer from Universal and UCF throughout the event. I also try to make a few pages every year themed around the house or area that I'm in. Some stuff is only available to scare-actors or UO Team Members. Some stuff I've made entirely on my own from scratch. Some stuff I've gotten off of the various Universal and HHN websites from year to year. Some stuff is guest pictures or production shots for archiving. Some stuff simply came from Jo Ann Fabrics. lol It's really a grab-bag, if you will. And, yes, I'm probably nuts for making these books every year, I'm well aware of that, but I don't care because I've truly enjoyed the time I've spent working on them.
  15. Interested in attending the Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark Meetup? It’s going to be the 8:30PM showing this Sunday at Universal CityWalk! Can’t wait to see some of you guys there! : )

  16. My dreaded dentist appointment turned out to be just fine. Still had to get a ton of cavities filled, but none were deep enough to require novocaine. It's the little things in life.

  17. Based on Nick's pictures, any location guesses for some of the less obvious shots? Like, the ones of the Animal Actors Stage/Kids Zone Area? I wonder if that set up is part of IFB or Central Park.
  18. The house of cards is progressing. EDIT: Actually, it looks kind of the same now that I compare it with the previous updated image.
  19. Definitely can see Hal Geluk's doll in the top left corner. Looks like there could be some loose blocks towards the far right about halfway up the photo.
  20. Current UO Team Members: If you were interested in going to Howl-O-Scream this year, you must purchase an actual event ticket. Your employee ID is only good for daytime park admission. Also, due to new company ownership, free general admission for team members and the comp ticket exchange between UOR and SW/BG will more than likely be discontinued sometime in the near future.

  21. Thanks for posting them, and no problem. I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't missing something obvious, like I usual do. hah
  22. This is seriously not meant to stir the pot, but can someone clarify which hat is supposedly the cowboy one?
  23. Hey, ZChris! I'm going to HHN as a guest on October 8th and to Howl-O-Scream on October 22nd. : )

  24. Oh, I'm ready. lol Can't wait for the season to start!!! : )
