I think Dead Exposure worked so well because it was a "house" and not a scarezone. A lot of, if not all, of the anxiety and fear that was created in Dead Exposure was due to the confined spaces, darkness and slow strobe lights. IMO, all of those aspects would be very hard to re-create in an outdoor environment.

He was just throwing out 2 ideas for scarezones, he doesn't think there will only be 2 in total.

Yeah I'd like to agree with this. Lots of people who realize what the job really is after a few days of doing this they drop out and create holes in the event...which people complain about later on when there are not enough ABU and FC to fill the holes. This is an EXTREMELY physically demanding job. You will hurt in places you didn't know you had, you will sweat more than you thought possible and you may come to hate people with every fiber of your being. However, once you get someone to scream, you will be hooked If you're up to the challenge, please do audition There's a reason this will be my 4th year doing this
I could not agree more.

This is from HHN 16. It was shown on the cinespheres in the lagoon.

USF ROOFTOP PYRO INSTALLATION
My guess would be that this is for a cinesphere/lagoon summer-time show.
-
Yes, Bloody Mary was in the scene just before the strobe room.
-
They definitely filmed Scary Tales 3 back in '08 as well.

Please let RHPS go to the Terminator building. If they use the disaster queue again (do not know if they will or not) it will not interfere with what ever house is there. But that is just my $.02
I've never felt that the RHPS has interfered with the Disaster queue houses. However, ff RHPS were to be moved over to the T2:3D stage, I could see a scarezone being placed in that area.
-
Yes its more nights for us, but for the sake of the General Public's overall Experience, I think it should be left with wed,Thurs,Sun.
I agree with this.
-
So, with the rumor of the Bill and Ted show being moved to the T2:3D stage, will many of us have one of our wishes granted for this year's event? Could it be the return of the Midway of the Bizarre in fog-filled Amity? I am cautiously optimistic.
-
+1, opening night is one of the best nights to attend.
-
Exactly! Old school in Amity with the fog so thick you can't see a foot in front of you...
Can there be any other way? Oh, wait.... 2004, 2007.
I miss the really dense fog from the "old days." For the same reasons that we will probably never see a FoD parade again, we will probably never see a scarezone with any denser fog than we saw in "Containment."

If we are indeed in for a "Best of" year, here are some houses/scarezones that I would like to see return:
Houses
Hotel Hell
S.S. Frightanic
Run
Screamhouse
Any variation of Psychoscareapy (I still think this would work well as a street as well)
Hellgate Prison
Ghost Town
Castle Vampyr (although the vampire thing has been done quite a few times recently)
Body Collectors
Any or all of the NLC "Big 3"
The Thing
The Hallow
Scarezones
Midway of the Bizarre (in Amity, one can dream, right?)
Field of Screams
The Fright Yard
Harvest of the Souls
Asylum in Wonderland
The Skoolhouse

My favorite:

I think it's Bob's Big Boy in other places
Yup, in Massachusetts it was Bob's Big Boy. As for the trip report(s), I agree with most of what you posted.

Chris Jericho was at HHN on Friday October 2, just thought I would share.

I heard Stinkfist by TOOL outside the Chucky house last night.

I'm so absent minded. *head desk* I'm sorry.
Don't worry about it, I'm not here to be an ass. We're all here to enjoy HHN. There's no reason for anyone to be rude. It's so nice to know you won't get your head ripped off over here.

Okay, I know the war scarezone's going to be where Shrek's exit is at, where American Gothic was. I know that Lights, Camera, Haction will be where T2 is at, and Cirque will be in the kidzone. Where are the other 3 going to be located? Thanks.
Containment - Between Shrek/Jimmy Neutron
Apocalypse - NY
Horrorwood - In front of Mel's

My guess is that they will really ramp up street construction after the park closes on Monday the 14th. This only gives them 8 full nights to finish up. Some things will probably continue to pop up from now until then.
-
Right on! I can see them recycling them there and I am happy to see these again. I wonder how they will merge Hollywood Die In with the pumpkins. As always, scarezone construction amps up after RTU. Does anyone know when that is this year?
RTU takes place this weekend, September 11-13. This year's event is 3 days, 1 day longer than usual.

I am an Active Back-Up this year.

Nothing is confirmed, but my best guess is that the returning/internal audition date will be July 13 and the first open audition will be July 20.
