As long as you are in the park when it closes and have a valid HHN ticket (any type of HHN ticket) for the same evening, you may wait in the Stay & Scream area.
-
I don't believe him. Not for one second.
-
okay so on a different forum im being told from employees that the stay and scream opens about 5 mins before the gate opens instead of 5:45 which im hearing from everyone else...so im confused
In the past, they have *definitely* let the Stay & Scream guests out at approximately 5:45. Now, what time they open the front gate to the general public is a different question entirely.

The "lantern" is on Hollywood Blvd. FEAR Revealed is in front of Mel's (where Horrorwood was last year).
-
From what I've heard, there will not be a show in the FEAR Revealed zone.
-
You will be released from the holding area at approximately 5:45pm. The Soundstage houses do not all open at this time. Their openings are staggered. I believe the Legendary Truth house (SS 22) and The Hallow'd Past (Parade building) will open first, followed by Catacombs (Sprung Tent 1), The Orfanage (Jaws queue) and one of the houses in SS23. Last to open *should* be the remaining SS23 house, ZombieGeddon (Disaster! queue) and Havoc (Sprung Tent 2). This isn't official yet, so take the list with a grain of salt.
Even with the head start, I think you will run into crowds before you can get through all of the houses on the 15th. Make sure you have a solid plan and/or buy an express pass.

Do NOT stop to even look at a scarezone. Do NOT stop and get a locker.
... and most importantly, Do NOT Pass Go!

2009: Part Two

Here's my last batch, split into three posts. All from last year (2009). This was my first time using my Canon SD1200.

There are A LOT of props that haven't been seen since 2002's Port of Evil. The buzz-saw iron maiden, the spark chair. I can't wait to browse the park Tuesday.
I'm pretty sure that the iron maiden has been used since 2002. I know the electric chair was in Hellgate Prison (2004) and I believe it also appeared in Run: Hostile Territory (2006).

I'm surprised they have already put out "Old Smokey" and its guest before RTU.
-
All of the zones look great, so far. I am very impressed and excited to see everything in all of its glory.
-
I wish some of these could be used as wallpaper. Good job.
There are quite a few shots in your collection that are breathtaking. I bow to your superior skills!!!

I'm not sure if you are talking about BigChippah's photos or mine, but if you're commenting on mine thank you very much. BigChippah took some excellent photos as well and his newer DSLR photos are great.
I have all of the photos in their original size, but they were taken with a Sony P&S circa 2002. The quality/megapixels aren't that great for making wallpapers. Anyway, if you'd like any of the originals just let me know.
I will be posting a few shots from last year soon, but I still think 08 was the best year for photos. This year sounds promising and I am excited to get some more pictures.

2008: Part 2

2008 was probably the best year for photos, here are a bunch.

Most houses usually have 10 scenes.

While I hope that Saws 'N Steam is a very large zone, it could be just moved (and not increased dramatically in size) from where Apocalypse was last year. In either case, I'm just thrilled Sting Alley will be making its scarezone return.
-
I believe Sting Alley will be a part of Saws 'N Steam, but not positive.

2007 wasn't the best year as far as photo opportunities go, but here are a few:

I apologize in advance if this has already been discussed: Does anyone have any idea how the FFP + Express Pass ticket will work? Will every night you attend you get a new Express Pass Booket, or is this handled some other way nowadays like an electronic ticket swipe before you enter the house?? I also understand this is a brand new option so if no one knows how it will be handled that wouldn't be surprising. Any information is appreciated, trying to figure out exactly what package I want to go with this year. Thanks!
I don't know the exact procedure with the new ticket option, but in the past they have scanned your ticket before entering each house.

That picture looks cool! I agree, I think this is the perfect place for a SZ. I am glad to see that they are using Sting Alley again and can't wait to see how it turns out as a SZ this year.
IMO, Sting Alley is *the* best spot in the park for a scarezone. I just hope it doesn't get as crowded as Shadows of the Past did.

Something that looks like a frankenstein gurny
I assume you are speaking of this picture, and yep, that's definitely from Frankenstein.
I'm very glad that we are seeing a return of Sting Alley as a scarezone location.

I'd like to go back to the comedic house speculation for a moment. It does indeed sound like Patrick Braillard was referencing Psychoscarepy when he stated, "but it's not the one you're thinking of." He followed that statement with, "If you think traditionally along the lines of all the houses that we've done, especially the sequel houses (I'll give you that hint), traditionally those sequel houses, depending on what they are, you see a different flair every single year, we're changing that up this year." Mike Aiello also mentioned Shaun of the Dead when describing comedic Horror.
So, I do think ZombieGeddon will be the house with a comedic tone this year.
