  1. Never seen this movie. Guess I should soon
  2. very excited for this one. I love the new movie and can't wait to see what they do with the house of it
  3. They had it go into November in 2008 and I went November 1st and it was very very NOT crowded. I was able to do ALL of the houses 3 times in just that one night and most of them were almost just like walkthrough lines, I think the longest one all night was maybee 15 minutes.
  4. This is my first time back here since last years event ended and I just got done reading through this thread so far and now it is time for me to contribute my two figurative cents, or in other words my wishlist and comments on some of the things you people have been talking about. - 8 houses again. I commented on the survey I did as I was leaving the park one night that they need to find some way to make it back to 8 houses and I don't care if it's a soundstage or a tent or anywhere else. - I am torn on the subject of the scarezones vs. hordes. I miss having big set pieces in the streets and different ones at that instead of just a bunch of cemetery type stuff throughout. With last years hordes depending on your timing and luck you could go a whole night and barely even see any scareactors in the streets or you could have some nights where every single dang time you were in the streets you had scareactors in the streets everywhere you went. The latter was AMAZING and the former sucked. I had both of those happen to me on different nights. With the traditional scarezones you knew where there would be scareactors and where there wouldn't be any. The hordes were very awesome and amazing if you got lucky. And They need to have it be where they can go into the stores and restaurants etc. again. Seriously, that was amazing getting surprised by a scareactor in the store while I was looking through the shirts to find my size. Somehow they need to keep that but have different set pieces like from scarezones. Some kind of combination of the two ideas might be able to get the good parts we love from both ideas and that'd be great. -I'm sure there's going to be some kind of IP at the event this year after how successful with the general public last year was, but I hope there's not as much of it. And However and whatever the IP's they use this year are, they really should not be the whole way they market the event. Last year the marketing was just advertising the IP's that they had. They should have an original icon with the IP's if they have IP's. I would be fine with no IP's but I'm accepting that we probably will have at least some. They should have their own original icon presenting the IP's then like they did in 2007 and 2009. Those were fine with how they had Jack and The Usher presenting the IP's those years. -I would like an icon this year. Anybody that remembers me and my posting from 2010 should know I absolutely loved Cindy and I would love for her to be brought back as the main icon. But if not her, then some other icon. No, haunts don't need icons, but I do like having them at HHN. -Hopefully not as heavy on the IPs this year. -I'm not sure what company is doing it, but the new Evil Dead remake looks great and I think that could make a good house. Maybe also Mama or TCM. -I would love a Scary Tales 4. I love anytime anybody takes things that are normally kid things or at least kid friendly and makes dark, twisted, scary versions of them like Scary Tales does, those are always awesome in general. -Bill and Ted is awesome and should definitely not be taken away, I think last years was by far the worst in all the years I've been going but they should make it better but not get rid of it. -I'm all for adding new shows. I don't care for the magic shows. Repo is awesome and yeah definitely could work. -and a better more interactive website with fun stuff for us fans with a backstory and all kinds of fun stuff to explore. The website has definitely been lacking the past few years That's about all I can think of to say now, but I will be participating in the discussion as I can from now on and this is not related to HHN, but I've heard people talking about Simpsons 2.0 and new ride in simpsons and I have never of that before this thread. Can somebody tell me or link me to info on this Simpsons stuff people were talking about? I didn't know there was any construction going on there anymore, the last time I have been able to go to Universal was for HHN.
  5. Alice Cooper:2 House Of Horrors: 2 P&T:2 TWD:1 Silent Hill: 1 Dead End: 1 Gothic:1
  6. So that narrow walkway area that you could walk through the amity construction area that had all the universal movie posters on the walls is blocked off too?? that actually does suck then, why couldn't they have kept that?
  7. It's going to be an expensive event for me merchandise-wise. I actually love all the shirts. Normally I only have to buy like two shirts. It's gonna be a lot more this year lol.
  8. definitely should be able to do everything on one of those nights, if you do it right Get there as early as you can. If you have an annual pass or any daytime ticket I reccomend being in the park before they close because then you get to stay in the park in a holding area while they change over to HHN and you get let go to do the houses before everybody else starts coming in and you will be able to get about 3 or so done with little to no wait before any the big crowds start coming. Generally speaking if you get there early from the beginning, you should go counter-clockwise around the park instead of clockwise, basically start with the houses in the kidzone area (Alice Cooper and House Of Horrors, I believe) then go counter clockwise around the park from there, in order. As opposed to starting with soundstages on the left side then going in order clockwise around. That's because the general public usually does start with the soundstages first and not that many people start in the kidzone area so it shouldn't be too long lines for the first couple houses if you do that. You should be able to get it all done opening night as long as you get there at least pretty soon after it opens. Opening night is usually not that packed or busy anyway
  9. I want one with the overall Halloween Horror Nights 22 logo on it with representation from all the houses in one wallpaper, like all the houses logos. I don't want to have to choose just one house, I would like one with representation from all the houses on it, and I have no knowledge at all on how to do that myself, could someone make something like that for me? that would be awesome
  10. well I can tell you the 3D effects wont be cool and they wont be using the 3D really well ... because there won't be any 3D to use at all in this house, it's not in 3D. Alice Cooper is 3D in hollywood, but not in Orlando. Each event has one 3D house only, theirs is Alice Cooper, but for us in Orlando it's Penn and Teller.
  11. This is very hard. The only one that's easy to decide for me is Penn and teller. That is definitely the least anticipated for me. well here goes my approximate most anticipated for the rest of them 1. Dead End 2. The Walking Dead 3. Silent Hill 4. Alice Cooper 5. House Of Horrors 6. Gothic 7. Penn and Teller
  12. 1. Traditionals 2. Vampires 3. Inquitus 4. Walkers 5. Prisoners 6. Beasts 7. Warriors
  13. oh sorry. I didn't know about that. I'm super sorry
  14. that's what I thought from the picture. lol I kinda doubt we'd get the same icon as singapore in the same year but it's possible I guess and it's all I can think of
  15. yeah the font definitely looks different and the song is gone. hmm weird change, I wonder why they would do that
  16. I absolutely hate dubstep, I don't care what they do with the house I would hate the house just cause of the dubstep "music" playing. I very seriously hope we dont get that here in orlando.
  17. yeah I'd say I think most people at least know who he is. I would put him slightly under Kiss and Ozzy as far as popularity. I think mostly everyone knows him for at least Schools Out if nothing more. Some people might not even know him by name but they do know that school's out song. That happened today with my gf, I told her the announcement and she didn't know his name but then I sung the chorus of school's out and she was like "oooooh yeah I know that song at least"
  18. I believe thats just hype saying that fans will be so excited that they will want to run their as opposed to walking. that sentence says we'll be running, not walking to universal, not anything about the actual house. personally I'll be driving there, but the writer just meant it as figurative hype to say the fans will be super excited so supposedly they'll be running to Universal for it.
  19. and there's a barn in season 2 of the walking dead
  20. I have been going since 2007 (ok technically I was there in 2006 but I didn't go in any of the houses so I can't comment or say anything about the houses from that year) and in 2007 I didn't make it through all the houses that year. I have been to all of them in 08-11 though. So here's my top ten from those years which I am just randomly thinking of now 1. The Orfanage: Ashes to Ashes 2. Scary Tales 3 3. Body Collectors 4. Silver Screams 5. Horror Nights: Hallow'd Past 6. The Hallow 7. Reflections of Fear ( sorry Zkeeper apparently I'm not really a HHN fan cause I did like this house a lot, even though I love everything about HHN and am obsessed with it year round and have been like addicted to it since I started going. ) 8. Catacombs 9. Psychoscareapy: Echoes of Shadybrook 10. H.R. Bloodengutz ...that was really hard and tough for me to do lol. Basically I love all the houses I've been to in these years except for a small handful (which those small handful are all the next list I'm about to do). There's many more I love that couldn't fit into a list of ten. However here's a handful I didn't really care for, aka the bottom 5 1. The Thing: Assimilation 2. Creatures 3. Doomsday 4. The Spawning 5. Havoc: Dogs of War
  21. well we don't know the exact date yet but we do know season 3 premieres sometime in October, so yes this would be perfect promotion for that. Those room names in addition to the rv really make it essentially confirmed that we have The Walking Dead house in the disaster queue this year. I think that is very awesome, I am super excited for this Walking Dead house. 'Tis an amazing show
  22. Total Nights: 3 Winter's Night: 5 Nightingales: 4 The Thing: 4 Bloodengutz: 4 Saws n Steam: 4 Nevermore: 5 The In between: 7 Forsaken: 4
  23. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.235494299831660.58624.140604079320683&type=1 I have the same problem. I can't beat the first forsaken game either.
  24. Well my first year technically was 2006, Which was when I was 12. Back then I was a complete chicken when it came to scary stuff. Somehow in the next two years or so after that, I became completely desensitized to the scary stuff, so now it's hard to actually scare me. But boy, back in '06 did I scare easily. Anyway I didn't actually get to go in the haunted houses that year, but I went through all the scarezones. I went with my friend and his dad. I don't remember much but what I remember is that we did the Stay and Scream and they went to the back towards the people under the stairs house right away. For whatever reason I was so scared of the PUTS house that I didn't want to go so I waited at the exit while they went into it. I was ( or at least thought I was) fine with and not as scared to go into any of the other houses, however I didn't get to because after they got out of PUTS the lines had gone up too much to the point where my dads friend didnt want to wait in the lines cause apparently he doesn't like waiting in lines. We spent the rest of the night riding the rides and going through the scarezones. I remember being scared of the scareactors and scarezones, and I believe I basically ran through them to get away from them lol, but still no matter how scared I would've been I regret not going into the PUTS house with them when they went. That was completely my fault though so its whatever. Sooo, anyway even though I didn't go in any of the houses and I basically ran away from the scarezones, it was still a really fun night that was the start of what is now a complete obsession. It hooked me to go back the next year with my family, where I finally went in the houses and I've been completely in love since then.
