  1. maybe some will, but overall that's not a problem at all. I think some might even have a renewed energy about it because it's almost over and because it's Halloween. Didn't think they would typically point out that express isn't available for rides that aren't even open. Seems to imply that it's open just without express. I don't know for sure though, it's a big surprise if it is. Didn't think they'd ever have it open for HHN
  2. Probably that last weekend. Typically Halloween is a lot less crowded than the rest of the event, less so in last couple years as event has gotten more popular, but still a good day to go I think.
  3. Knockturn Alley is always pretty spooky at least. Great news if it is open, that should help with the crowds.
  4. I'm guessing either Freddy vs Jason or Insidious.
  5. My first time chiming in in a while Ok well here's my thoughts about this house lineup if this is indeed what we are getting. TWD: I am super bummed if this is coming back again. I'm holding on to some faint hope that this is somehow wrong or changes. I love The Walking Dead show, but I don't any property to be at the event four times in a row. I also seriously don't see how this recent season will make for a particularly good or different house. Doesn't feel like there's enough. Yeah this sucks. AWIL: This part really annoys me, more so than TWD ever will. At least with TWD each house has been based on a different season so there's new stuff. to be in the house. This one will be based on the exact same movie, and most likely then will be basically the exact same. Yeah, it was an amazing house, but I still don't want it back. That's one thing I've always hated about Howl-O-Scream that previously HHN never did. HOS reuses several of the exact same houses in consecutive years all the time, I hate that. This isn't quite the same, because there was a year in between and it's only one house, but still. I don't like them reusing an exact same house so soon. Freddy Vs. Jason: Cool, awesome. I think it'll be awesome to have both of them in one house. I will be very excited for this one. I don't really want them to be fighting each other though, that doesn't seem scary. It should be more like Freddy and Jason both teaming up to kill us. Scream: Provided this is based on the movie, I will be extremely excited for this. Should be great! I love the Scream movies. Insidious: Yes! Been wanting this since the first one came out, and apparently Hollywood's house was great. This seems like it should make a great house. I love the movies. Alice In Wonderland: OMFG YES! You guys have no idea how much I love this! This will easily be my most anticipated house they could possibly ever do and has a real good shot at being my favorite house ever. I'm just biased because I absolutely love anything Alice In Wonderland, and I love dark/scary Alice In Wonderland stuff even more. Asylum In Wonderland was one of my top favorite scarezones ever, and I loved the Alice In Wonderland room in Scary Tales 3. Beyond excited for this one! Run: Cool. Never got to experience either of the first two, but this sounds good to me. Not too much personally excited, because I don't know much about it. But I defintely don't dislike this news. I'm cool with it. Psychoscareapy/Body Collectors: If that's what this is, this sounds amazing to me! Those are two great original house series, and I think a mashup of them sounds great. I'm especially excited to see the Body Collectors again, their house in 2008 was great and is one of my favorite houses ever ( they had another one before that, right? I forget when it was. My first year going was 2007. I know 2008 was only time I've seen them) Icon house: Hell yes! I love the icons, and I can't wait to see them again. Very exciting. Ok so overall, I think this actually sounds great. I am very very bummed about two of them (AWIL and TWD), but the other 7 all sound amazing to me, and I will be very excited for them. Only other complaint is I wish they did that Krampus house that was rumored for a bit, that sound great.
  6. yeah crowds overall were great. got DOTD, roanoke, halloween, giggles, and dracula done in 5-10 minutes. AVP and FDTD were like 20 minutes. saw TWD say 60 and 90 some throughout the night, but when i did it said 45 but really only waited 30 mins. got all houses done, ate at simpsons, and saw B&T all done by like 10:20.
  7. I'm going tonight! First time I've ever been on a Wednesday. Think crowds will be less tonight? Hoping so lol
  8. and here's a picture of my girlfriend and I https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10204867294267866&l=c40acdf865
  9. The house where Afterlife was is where Halloween is. Roanoke is in the parade building, where The Walking Dead was last year
  10. I went to my Publix today and saw the display myself.
  11. This is actually by far my most anticipated house of the whole event. I think it sounds great, I love the concept
  12. Sounds pretty cool. Looking forward to this one, all the original houses really excite me.
  13. Most anticipated houses: 1. Dollhouse 2. Halloween 3. Giggles 4. Roanoke 5. The Walking Dead 6. AVP 7. FDTD 8. Dracula Scarezones: 1. Bayou 2. Maskerade 3. Purge 4. Face-off
  14. Really excited by these original houses, the dollhouse house is definitely my most anticipated house. Overall sounding like a great year!
  15. Personally I love having the icons and I miss them, but they didn't have much of an impact on the event itself really (to me at least), but what they did was help make these months leading up to the event much more exciting and fun, back then these summer months were a very exciting time just as fun if not better than the event itself. That shows in a few ways, like the backstory that was revealed through the interactive and detailed websites, and the advertising such as the radio, and tv ads. Frankly those have all been very boring and downright terrible in the last few years since we haven't had an icon, since 2012 really was the first year all that stuff was so bad to me. The marketing without an icon is so boring and lifeless, it makes the time before the event nowhere near as exciting even if the event itself is still great.
  16. I'm perfectly fine and happy with IP heavy with an icon too, like 2007 and 2009 were IP heavy but you still had Jack and The Usher respectively. That makes IP heavy feel a lot better to me. And if they're good houses I really don't mind a lot of IP's lol just have to be good ones.
  17. I'm thinking The Purge is a serious possibility for this year and I would be very happy with that actually. It would be an easily great scarezone and I think it could make a great house too. They just released a trailer for The Purge 2, officially The Purge: Anarchy. It's taking place in the city during the purge instead of in one house. I think that will give more material to work with. It's a Universal movie, it's popular, the first one at least made a lot of money, and it's dvd/bluray release would be right around the HHN time most likely. I'm speculating that based on the new trailer but since I haven't posted in here yet now here's all my wishlist stuff I can think of. -House based off new movie Nurse (3D). It's lionsgate and it's not exactly a popular movie so probably unlikely, but I think it'd be cool. Or maybe then just rip off the concept from it. -A Psycho house. Because of the show Bates Motel, but not based on the show, there's not enough in the show yet. Have a house with Norman actually being a killer already, he's not really there in the show yet. Maybe they could have some easter egg like references to the show, but yeah I would like a new Psycho house. - Actual unique scare zones like how they used to be. - No more Walking Dead!!! AHS would be a cool tv show to do if they want a popular tv show, but please no more walking dead. -An Icon of some kind. Yeah I know we don't really need it and that's true but I do really like having them and I miss having one. -For crowd control purposes I really hope the new Harry Potter area will be open with the ride running. - Just generally I would like more of a balance of IP's to original stuff, I like having IP houses but I don't want too much of it to be that. - The marketing needs to be better, seriously it's been terrible the last two years. ok that's actually all I can think of for now. Mostly repeated a lot of the discussion I've seen in here but this is my first time posting in this thread.
  18. just scroll through pics on my facebook and instagram and you'll see some of me. http://instagram.com/scottedmondson41 facebook.com/scottedmondson
  19. so it's in The Walking Dead house this year? interesting.
  20. The Orfanage: Ashes to Ashes, probably my favorite house ever so far. I love that house.
  21. well we have this whole "What Evil has taken root" theme this year that Hollywood does not have at all. That makes me think we should hopefully have a different one. I really hope so. It would be very disappointing if ours is the same from last year too
  22. 1. La Llorona 2. The Cabin In The Woods 3. Evil Dead 4. Resident Evil 5. AWIL 6. Afterlife 7. The Walking Dead 8. Havoc 2
  23. I'm super glad that this is just based off the games and not the movies. Also happy that it's apparently just based off of 2 and 3. They stopped being scary at all ever since Resident Evil 4 so I'm glad they're not using RE 4-6. I'm excited for this one now
  24. Just saw the movie for the first time. Definitely great movie! I completely see why it's a classic. I am now really excited for this house
  25. Never cared for the first one, but I still have hopes that I'll like this one a lot more!
