I was just about to point that out, Bruinsfan. We have been talking about mythology for quite some time now, along with all the past HHN character spec. :] This has been going on for a month or so now, as a matter of fact lol On the topic of Hollywood Blvd, I don't think having a SZ that could double as a photo op would be a bad idea. I'm sure we cou;d get a few scares, especially since the line up that was mentioned was FAR from being un-scarey lol I can think of quite a few people on that list I'd like to take a pictrue with lol

Agreed. In general, I enjoy the orignial houses more than I have enjoyed the movie houses, although they are VERY fun as well. I hadn't been aware they'd announced there would deffinitely be no houses based on movies this year, but if so, that's cool with me. And as for a house that may reference a movie, I guess all we can do now is wait and see :]

No movie based houses huh? Hm. Idk if I buy that. There's always a chance there coiuld be ONE. After all, they've been known to pop up even in completely original years lol

well put Mr.Bungle. And I agree; the speculation, give or take a few things, over the last few days has been alot better than in the previous months. We have a little bit more to work with now so there's no excuse for pulling something completely out of our butts And as much of a point as Jax made, I have to agree with tweedledum: I really don't think the lantern is the icon.

Dr. Jimmy I always looks forward to ur point of view lol I'm really liking the whole frat party idea. And with the things you mentioned, caniibalism, ritualism, etc, this could turn into the wildest toga party ever seen rofl I mean, it can be done. I think it's a pretty nifty idea and plus, Im pretty sure Universal hasnt done anything like it before Wow....a demented version of animal house....I love it!

It is a really interesting idea, but I agree! I dont know if it will ever happen :/ Time will tell, I guess. I'm just not sure how open the public would be as to having an object icon after being spoiled on such incredible flesh-and-bone icons for the past ten years hah

Idk about the lantern being a beacon for the other HHN monsters and icons, but it's a thought. I'm sure the lantern is going to prove to have some sort of signifigance to it, we're just not sure what yet.

I couldnt agree more with you, Michele. There's no reason for anyone here to knock down someone else's speculation. We should all just sit back, enjoy the ideas (whether we agree with them or not) and wait for the big day to arrive Bonovox thats actually a really cool concept. I hadn't thought of it before! All those things really do tie in together in that way, don't they? OOoooooh boy oh boy

Sprung Tent 1 sort of reminds me of a Horror house they had quite a while back. I dont remember what it was called, but it was a museum filled with the classic Universal monsters that have all come to life. It was back during one of the first years they did horror nights; the code words just reminded me of it. "Museum hallway" "Mummified corpse(the mummy) "DOC" (frankenstein?) I also agree with the speculation a few pages back on the Jaws queue; it DEFINITELY reminds me of what could be NOES just a thot...

yeah I noticed that XX on the lantern too. The little paragraph next to the lantern says that the shadows will reveal things about this years event. So I guess over time we'll see some development in that area? To be honest Im a little disappointed with this year's website so far. I've come to expect alot from them in the way of elluding to the SZ and houses (think about last year and bloody mary; what build ups!) I'm hoping they'll really pull it out in the next few weeks tho...

The more and more I think about it, a wedding COULD work. Knowing Universal, they would find a way to make a story, complete with SZ, Houses, and all, around it. I can see some sort of Wedding themed show occuring. I'm not saying I LIKE the idea, which I don't. Universal is capable of very creative and incredible things and this would definitely fall into the "not so much" catagory. However, I can see it working. And, I dont remember who said it exactly, but people WILL come despite the theme. We can kick and scream all we'd like but if they do end up doing a wedding...I think all of us would attend regardless.

All the icons have a sort of lead off accept Jack....which could mean there could be one on the way. Ew....to think...that means someone had to have mated with Jack O_o I really REALLY hope Universal doesn't pick up on that idea..I think the last thing we need is a demon clown baby.

Ahhh it was under the tongue, gotcha. I knew they stuck a coin in there somewhere, I just couldn't quite remember where I have to agree. Although I have never been a year when Jack has been present, I do think it's time he hangs up his clown shoes. You can only use the same icon so many times. The idea of a wedding is pretty clever though; it would be a good way of gathering all the HHN icons together for a reuinon of sorts. Perhaps, if they do, this could be the last we see of Jack. After all, he'll be a married man after that-he'll have other things to do besides scare the bejesus out of Horror Night goers

I agree on the subject of BM's house being redone. Personally I LOVED BM as an icon but her house....well....it lacked (putting it lightly.) I can honestly say I didnt get any good scares in there. However, should they tweak it a little bit, I'm sure they could liven it right up I was on the HHN wiki the other day and someone updated the HHN XX page, saying there were "three confirmed houses. One Greek Myth house, on of old icons, and one of unused icons." Does anyone have any evidence to back that up? I can't remember hearing aboiut ANYTHING being confirmed. In the past, we don't unusally get our first big update until at LEAST the first week of July. And even then, we only begin to get clues. Big news won't roll in until the end of August, I imagine. Like I said though: I hadn't heard of any official confirmation as of yet. Am I missing something here?

I can imagine how tiring it would be - running back and forth between the parks. Like I said before, I never got to expierience HHN when it was in IOA and even when it was in both parks, but I know people who have. They've all basically said what you all have said: dead zones in IOA, long distances, tiriing, etc. I hear the SZ in between the parks were pretty nifty though. And lol BlackMask, I daydream about HP being involved in HHN someday too xD what a wonderful world it would be....rofl

How was it at IOA? I get alot of mixed reviews about it when it was over there. I know they most likely wont do it over there again; they had alot of legal issues w/ the widow of Dr. Suess (I heard it had something to do with her not allowing Universal to "besmerch the image of her husbands work." Or something like that lol

You know, I've been doing some thinking (sorry if this is off topic of the whole JMR convo) I was flipping through the HHN wiki today, reading over their past SZ and haunted houses and theres alot of possibilties that havent been discussed. I mean...the Bates house, for example. They used that ALOT back in the beginning of the event: you think they might do an updated version for the event? Another thing: do you think they'll bring back Robosaurus for the festivities? I know we haven't seen him with Sweet 16, but if this is indeed a reunion year, then it would be fitting. Like I said, just thot hah

Regretfully, I didn't get to go into the Saw house last year. The line was, at the least, 90 minutes long and from everything I heard, unless you were a die-hard fan of the series, you wouldn't appreciate the house. I've seen all the Saw movies and they were OK. I wasn't really super excited for the house to begin with. I can understand that Universal might want to bring it back since it's such a big money maker, but two years in a row? Eh...I'm skeptical :/

lmaoo I think everybody is going to be really excited. As far as things go, I'm a Horror Nights Newbie. This will only be my third year, but I fell in love the minute I walked through the gates back in '08 x) Either way, I'll be checking the sight religiously starting tonight at Midnight to see if those updates actually happen lol
