  1. Guys, the Tooth Fairy house was going to be an IP house anyway. I'm not sure how many more times I need to say it. They scrapped it because even when someone was on stilts and loaded with feathers, they still could not even sniff the ferocity and tenacity necessary to portray the same Tooth Fairy that was played by Dwayne The Rock Johnson.
  2. It's a really long story, but the short end of it is this.. Yes, Jason Blum was a producer on it, but they decided it wasn't going to fit the mold of what HHN should be at least for this year. Their conundrum was solved however, when they simply couldn't get the rights from FOX nor cast anyone that has the size and stage presence of The Rock....
  3. If I told you, then it wouldn't be a surprise. You'll be happy though.
  4. This is what I was hinting at earlier with the abundance of pumpkin pie that will be served. In retrospect...it's more sad than funny.
  5. Whoever put the spec map together for the houses, will end up with a lot of glory this year. Not much will end up being wrong
  6. Then I did my job Too bad none of it will be edible You're onto something
  7. It appears that a ton of pumpkin pie will be served this year
  8. I don't want to poo poo on anyone's parade, but I feel like 1000 Corpses will be awful. Mostly due to the fact they won't be able to do what they'd like to do in that tent by MIB. Candidly, I'm glad that house is getting shoved back there because I have near zero interest in that film, as the material, personally, is not that scary.
  9. Man, they're going to have some funky house/scarezone synergy this year.. If there ever was such a thing.
  10. They only used half of B-79 last year for Trick 'r Treat because the other half was Hagrid storage and testing. This time around I've heard about warnings of heavy duty magnets on the west side of the building. Perhaps extra storage for the LIM for Hagrid?
  11. Houses...hmmm No Slash please. Give me all the frightening old school organ/orchestral compositions I can get! Seems they're familiarizing their audience for what's rumored to come.
  12. It's like Christmas! In more ways than you'll know.. PS - Does not pertain to THIS announcement
  13. Word on the street is that Universal will take the saying of "Green is Universal" to another level.
  14. I was a scareactor at that park and we always looked at the walkthroughs of the Orlando event wishing we were there. Yes, I know first-hand that he's got issues. He's got too much of the "rock star" mentality and he wants to be the face of the event, rather than sitting back a little more quietly like Mike, and pulling the strings. I would totally agree if they keep using giant Chucky people.... Howeva!... What about an entire house with Chucky dolls operated by puppeteers? Down near your ankles, popping out by your face... personally I hate Chucky too, but what if they do it the way it should be done.
  15. And that, I believe, is why their event pales in comparison to ours. There's no originality or creativity. It's a display of stuff instead of being its own living, breathing, thing.
  16. I may be alone in thinking this, but the Hollywood event deserves better than what they get every year. They dress things up to look and feel original, but they're not and there's always a ton of buildup for not much of a payoff, when it comes to the content. The scarectors are amazing and they too deserve better environments to scare in. It makes me feel that much more lucky to live in Orlando and attend the event they've built here.
  17. I can hardly hold in the excitement. PLEASE tell me Stranger Things is coming back!!
  18. An article out of West Palm Beach entitled "Changes Coming to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort. Link "Past themes of the various houses have been based on classic horror movies like Poltergeist or the Netflix series Stranger Things (which is coming back this year). But what's new is the resort is going to have its first original content haunted house called "Nightingales: Blood Pit." Go home WPTV, you're drunk.
  19. I hear ya, but then you can make it any timeline or location. In choosing Rome, during a drought, I think they have some big plans above ground as well.
  20. If they give it TrT treatment, it'll be fine in half of a parade building.
