Way too early. Pretty sure they only revealed the Thing for the marketing purposes leading up to the movie. We might see more about the Icon or some backstory, but I don't think we'll get the rest of the houses revealed until a much later date.

I agree and as I've said before somewhere on this forum: I'm saying 23A for the Thing.

Excited for the theme... could not be less excited for the Thing. Very disappointed that we're starting the event with a repeat. Not surprised, but disappointed.

Going to copy/paste my response to your similar post from Rumors last week, since I never saw a response. The "no returning concepts" mantra pertains to old Icons and the franchises prior to HHN XX. Anything from HHN XX is fair game (although I was definitely expecting Catacombs more than SnS). We were told there would be a long break before seeing more movie houses, but I suppose sometimes promoting your company's film when it fits with the event might win out. I will be quite disappointed if that particular rumor is true. A&D could come up with something far more creative, and I'm afraid it will just be a rehash of the previous house. (And before people respond: Yes, I know the rumor is now confirmed)

I read both posts - my point was that entering into an extremely hot house which is supposed to be "Antarctica" gives the completely wrong vibe. Not the right vibe you mentioned. It suspends belief in location. Even with the proper decorations, it's going to be hard to separate yourself from the reality of the heat. I didn't intend to imply that you thought JAWS was the proper location.

How can you possibly have the "right vibe" of being in Antarctica when you're sweating to death in the JAWS house? That's my point - if there is to be a house based in Antarctica, it needs to at least be in air conditioning. Not saying I need to have to wear a parka to enter - a little cold blast upon entering a Soundstage would do.

I'm not saying they need to turn the Soundstage into an Igloo, I'm just saying that having the Thing in JAWS - which a freakin' sauna - will suspend all belief I have of entering a lab in Antarctica. I surely hope I'm not the only one who would find it much more believable to be see ice/cold when I'm in air conditioning.

It makes little to no sense to have the Thing prequel/sequel in JAWS. The prequel is set in Antarctica, and JAWS is notoriously the hottest house on property. If they're going to do the Thing, I see it being in a Soundstage for the climate control.

I agree with you about Chance, however - not for the same reasoning. They could easily adapt the character of Chance so that she fit the event. This particular HHN might take place before she met Jack/joined a carnival. Just because she was once a clown, does not mean she was always a clown. Saying that, I still agree. I don't think Chance will be returning. And I think Icons are here to stay, just because they help marketing so much. Putting a face to the event makes advertising easier.

I think we're all just getting desperate, picking apart the teaser trying to find something else because we've had the same site for... three weeks now? I can understand the desperation, but I think at this point we'll just need to wait for the next update to really have more to go on!

Fairly certain there will be murder at HHN, yes. If we're having a Casino-themed Haunted House, I'm fairly certain there will be lots of dead or dying people involved. I don't think the teaser is meant to allude anything about interrogation, and that role name is likely just code for something else.

I wasn't saying S&S wasn't fair game, just expressing that I'm not particularly excited that so far our two clues to the HHN 21 houses have been sequels (or prequel). I agree that any of the new franchises from last year's event are free game. S&S just wasn't the one I'd hoped to see continue. I would have been fine to have all new ideas again this year, and then to start making sequels next year.

Legacy meant to say they've put a "headline" outside of a soundstage before (RoF was in Jaws? Disaster? Dunno... didn't go that year. Sad face). But it's far better to put your icon house in a soundstage or the parade building. That was his point.

My thoughts are based on information which I'm not at liberty to share at the moment. So I don't really want to lead the discussion this time around. But I will say... try the process of elimination based on what we know about locations for other houses. Again, it's all speculation, but there are solid theories out there about many of the other houses. It should help you think about possible locations for a Casino.

Alright... how about you start... where do you think a second option is for the Casino house based on codenames? Doesn't have to be the same people who initiate discussion each time. It's a free forum! =)

I guess technically SnS is a new franchise... but it wasn't the franchise I was expecting or excited to potentially return. The Thing will be better in a SS, but that's about all I can give it. It goes against the "new"concepts and the "no movie houses" mantra they were drilling into us last year. There are certainly alternate ideas for this house which are less obvious than Casino. We have nothing more to go on than the code names for this house at the moment, but I'm convinced the Casino is in another location.

How were you able to film the houses?? You just made me so happy! I didn't get to attend in 2008, and I will be watching these walkthroughs now! Excited!

I have to disagree with you - for many reasons, but the main one is this: The Thing prequel takes place in Antarctica. Jaws is notoriously the hottest house on property. I think the Thing, if indeed a house, will be in SS23A. Might be a different soundstage, but based on the roles so far, that's where I'm leaning.

I have to agree with you there. After receiving the second clue, I think these are the hints to the houses. I also agree about the SS23A location. It's the only one that fits so far. I am resistant to giving in to the idea of S&S, but I think that's just because I want to see NEW ideas... and so far, we have two houses based on previous ideas. I'm sure S&S in a house will be impressive, but I am less than thrilled about the Thing.

Further discussion changed his mind from Disaster to Jaws... I'm still thinking Disaster for this clue, however. And no... I do not think this is a sequel to the Catacombs. That requires ignoring the beginning of the clue.

Again, I stand by my previous post: Sometimes the most logical/simple ideas are best. It's okay to have a Spanish Inquisition house which has nothing to do with a plague. There's no reason to connect Catacombs with the Spanish Inquisition.

So you're saying the plague doctors are now going to be part of the Spanish Inquisition? Wouldn't it just be more logical to have a separate concept dealing with the Spanish Inquisition? I see how you're trying to connect the two, I just don't understand why. Sometimes, the most logical/simple ideas are best.
