  1. If you were the same guy i was near/talking to then i know who you are lol but yes i deeply consider you to just use the early access to the houses and when they opened the way to the other houses use it as a head advantage and get 5 houses done before the crowd. Don't try the early access to B&T more than likely it won't help out at all and you can easily come back and get the same seats if you did wait for 45+ minutes.
  2. I hate that last year i had a carrier that did not support the texting game of last year (even though i played it only twice) and now that i have a big carrier and they decided not to do the texting game and just give us an app that has no use for many because everyone gets a map and has the same information plus sometimes the app takes too long or closes on you. Plus no updated wait times or games except the check-in game which seems useless unless they do have better discounts than an AP which i highly doubt in a financial standpoint. And i find it hilarious that when you open the map up theres the QR code (that you can scan on your smart phone) and get an app that you have to wait to download to just say that your close to a particular house. It isn't right when they advertise this information where everyone can easily get from the front of the park. So there isn't any fun game or thing to do anymore before the houses except the only one que video this year and excluding The Thing movie trailer thats on severe repeat in Winter's Night line. What were they thinking?
  3. No only Saws closed because the Jaws Que can be flooded(which it did Friday) but the other 7 houses were open and all the rides that isn't Rockit (if lightning appeared) so people can still be in line during the rain and they could enter. All scarezones are empty out but the effects like the Acid Assault projection is still on. Just no scareactors roaming around.
  4. Missing HHN already :/ lol

  5. Better than i expected as i put this one dead last because of how short it looks but the funny thing is that is in my Top 3 for scarezones(like it's much of a surprised seeing our selection this year thus far) but still too small... but the scareactors made this zone i think without these great scareactors this would easily be lower but thank god these guys are not only trying but surpassing expectations everytime in enter.
  6. It's been 3 days (including EP) anyone found any red buttons? Which houses?
  7. Bought one on EP to support the ideas of yearly hoodies and hoping for improvement along the years perhaps with the theme/icon/house included plus my HOS hoodie of 09 is getting worn out so it's good variation and getting ready for the cold season ahead plus i want to say i own the first hhn hoodie.
  8. According to the website's description, There are 3 different shows each night. Question whats the difference between 3? Different genres? Different songs?
  9. The villian wasn't the central plot and he wasn't used very much but i believed some of the jokes hits more misses. By the way to everyone who's going to the last two AP "event/party" don't take up on the offer of doing their "promise" of getting into B&T first, don't do it because i was waiting 40 minutes outside (while saws and steam was nearly empty) and still the park opened up as usual and got to wait less than us and had the same type of rows in the back as the express holders got dibs (which i am one and i asked if i could use it now and the horrible staffer said don't worry the AP holders go first) and the funny thing is that i sat in the same row or higher than the first time and i got in less than 10 minutes to showtime. For future references do all the houses and just go to B&T later (no matter what time it is) on when you want rest from the running and screaming.
  10. There 10.95 plus tax (checked the one with lady luck and the rotating wheel/roulette) ,someone got misinformed. Check the stores like Universal Studios Store at the beginning of the park or in MIB gift shop i saw them on sale last night. Bought on EP 1. House Shirt 2. Hoodie and i might get the lanyard, cards, mug, and pins next weekend.
  11. Yes, but i don't use use it till i did all the houses (in regular line) first and when time is running out and the park is about to close. I do repeats with the express. and if you see my house count i did pretty well for 3 days
  12. Ah no wonder she looked familiar. Love that scareactor. I know many faces including yours.
  13. H.R Bloodngutz(himself)- very fun and interactive unlike Sam Meetz always a great time talking to him The Arbor Day Girl-Crazy and insane, perfect for this house as she's not only in character but she can scare me, an honorable notice
  14. Mine worked like a charm and i barely need to wait except for Saws and Steam and that was because of the scareactors. (rest 20 min or less)

  16. One that cart that i always know they sell HHN merch (with discounts for AP and TM) is the one outside of the Universal Complex theater.
  17. Updated with all 8 houses included!
  18. Disclaimer: Most important reason why they do advance employee screaming/screening is for the scareactors in order for them to practice their new roles so most of them are tad new but i know over time they will become better, hell one of the guys in nightmaze did a rookie mistake and hit me in the arm but no real harm done. So when your time comes Scarezones (Order by Chronological Order/Whatever i did first) Canyon of Dark Souls-This was bottom of my list in my anticipation scarezone list because it seemed boring and short. Well I'm happy to say it's not boring as the Scareactors did their best to scare as many people as they can and even myself which is rare for me in a scarezone (as this was the only one that did scare me this year) but like i said before it seem very short and it really is shorter than the rest and seemed the real downfall of this scarezone. Okay Lighting and Fog with pyro coming out from each side creating a good introduction but nothing with the wow moment. If you seen the construction of Canyon with the dark souls lining up and look downwards seemed to bland for me compared to the rest and the only real good thing that i can say about this zone is that they have great actors working in this one. Scareactor Activity: 5/5 Props and Scenery: 2/5 Effects/Lighting: 3/5 Overall: 7/10 Grown Evil - (2nd most anticipated)- I tried my best to enjoy this zone had to go through it twice but the fact of the matter is that it wasn't the best i wished to be hoping this was a "sleeper hit" but barely any scareactor did the scaring for this zone and i just hope the actors do way better in the following days to come. As for the scenery from afar and close was pretty great with fog all around and the gargoyles and statues made it seem to be a fun zone for multiple passings but sadly it felt like a waste. The lighting as always seem very awesome in the Central Park area from 08 but barely any effects were in play but hopefully this zone would be better after some time. Scareactor Activity:2/5 Props and Scenery: 3/5 Effects/Lightning: 3/5 Overall: 5/10 Nightmaze- I thought the whole "maze" part would be fun to go across and be surrounded by scareactors and the promised great lighting to make you feel delusional (like Disorientorium gimmick) only one of those things were real. The maze was an interesting idea as it moves very slowly and makes you have to past through it where the rest of the hidden scareactors await but the scareactors barely got the scare as they can't do anything vocal so only when they jump out and appear seem spooky but i think because of this it wasn't as fun as the crowd can come in both directions and it was hard to divided them evenly with barely a cast of scareactors. The Lighting that was promised to make it awesome were just a couple of lights pointed at one part of the ground and i just ask why is it there it doesn't confuse the guests or makes it scarier as this scarezone was to become an all dark maze so why is this particular boring lightning in one section in this particular zone. The "scenery" or lack that is seemed very boring and is just there to make a maze and thats it. Yes this is a maze but nothing else sadly. Scareactor Activity: 3/5 Props and Scenery: 0/5 Effects/Lightning: 2.5/5 Overall:5/10 Acid Assault-(Most Anticipated) Spoiler Alert: This is the best scarezone of the night, The 3D projection did not fail as i was staring at it for so very long and seemed very well put together as the costumes in this one were great and seemed very believable in this apocalyptic nightmare with "ash" flying near the beginning of the zone with actors scaring any person who is in awe of the projection. Hell even the soundtrack playing in the back ground was my favorite. The actors seem uninterested first but don't worry their just waiting and watching until they strike so yes this was a big success and can't wait to go through it in this weekend. Scenery, A&D brought all the best props and everything they can to make this the best way to pull off a melting concrete jungle and effectwise just look at the Tribune collapsing again and picture that every building near that proximity, hell yeah they won 5/5 on that only. Scareactor Activity: 4/5 Props and Scenery: 5/5 Effects/Lightning: 5/5 Overall:10/10 Your Luck Has Run Out-Well, i didn't expect much but i did expect a little bit more from the scareactors. Greeted by both sides of Lady Luck you go inside and know something isn't right... it's utter boring i went through and it seemed like they were posing for everyone in front of their particular post and when it's over it felt like you just wasted your time. Another thing i should warn you but i feel it's going into the spoiler category so it's here> and the only one that brings some worry is that Lady Luck "assistance" seem to be the only one interested in the guests and does this scare that gets old very quick. Many Props that you have already seen or hinted at like house of cards and dead victims of Luck are there but they are just there for pictures and that's all pretty boring. I didn't like the lightning not only in here but throughout the park with the same logo Spoiler alert is Spades with the number 21 throughout the park which isn't terrorizing and the theme isn't as involved as in other years so i thought it was pointless. So yes this Photo Op or a waste of time to say the least. Scareactor Activity: 2.5/5 Props and Scenery: 2/5 Effect/Lightning:1/5 Overall 5/10 7- It's better than i expected i guess as i didn't see all 3 stages but i got a feel for the second stage of transformation which i did like to see more of. But barely any scares from the assistance as each of the 7 have 2 assistance like previously said in the tweetup and some were better than others (for the most obvious reasons) and i did like the use of the stages as they preform/shout what sin they represent and can't wait to see the rest of transforming stages. Props/Scenery as the stages are the only way to see the particular scareactor sin so it did it's job right but nothing else. The Lighting is surprisingly great with fog as it seemed very interesting to enter. And love the song of "The Beautiful People" from Marilyn Manson (as posted by JW Fearman) for this particular zone just wish it wasn't stuck on repeat forever. It's a good place to waste time. Scareactor Activity:3/5 Props and Scenery:2.5/5 Effect and Lightning:4/5 Overall:7/10 My Anticipated List(scarezone) 1.Acid Assault 2.Grown Evil 3.Nightmaze 4.Your Luck Has Ran Out 5.7 6.Canyon of Dark Souls Ranked List(scarezone) 1.Acid Assault 2.Canyon Of Dark Souls 3. 7 4.Grown Evil 5. Nightmaze 6. Your Luck Has Ran Out Houses The In-Between-Being in my top 3 i wanted to see and the closest one without breaking too much of a sweat i started here. The main thing you want to know about this house is if the 3D is actually good or just a bad gimmick like Nightmaze but this was actually really good use of 3D better than most movies (not a surprise) but yes this is a big step up for 3D houses as the effects were astonishing to say the least the only complaint is how bland the glasses are not a great collectable from the past glasses(hopefully they have something for the general public) but even from the beginning (and i literally mean before you walk inside take a close glimpse) So this would really unplug veterans who hated the 3D glasses and show how effective it can be as i did really enjoy it just try balancing your paper glasses on while running. The structure of the house reminds me so much from another house but i still did enjoy it from most aspects as the scenes were interesting with the combination of effects made this house shine. The only thing that didn't go all out were the scares(and barely the story is played out like the house i mention before but still didn't lessen the impact of this house) but it wasn't the house itself i thought it was the scareactors or lack there of or just simply bad timing but if they improve on this angle this would get my bet. Scares:3/5 Scenery/Atmosphere:5/5 Effects 5/5 Story:2.5/5 Scenes:3.5/5 Overall: 7.5/10 Nevermore:The Madness of Poe-I know that most nightmarers enjoy the stories of Poe(I read five of his works and enjoyed them just wished for more time lol) and seem like a wish coming through im happy to say this was a great house and so many scares to thrill any newcomers of the readings of Poe to continue on his legacy for generations to come. I believed it had enough stories to quench the thirst of Poe fans of all forms and made me "fan-gasm" to see my favorite stories come to life in most scenes and just wished to stay a little bit more but then you get scared and through the exit you went and dying for another visit an excellent mix for everyone. Unlike the In-between there were barely any effects but it was not needed as you want the feel of the old fashioned sense that Poe conveys as you go through what happen that made Poe go past the brink of insanity. Sadly you can't stay in one position because of the dreaded conga line but makes you want to go back more. Scares:5/5 Scenery/Atmosphere:5/5 Effects:3/5 Story:4/5 Scenes:5/5 Overall: 9/10 Saws and Steam:Into The Machine-I didn't expect much for this with the location and no chainsaws i thought this was going to suck but not only Universal beaten my expectations but pushed them into new heights for the Jaws Que Houses(brightly light and i think you can even do this house first without getting lost in the darkness) in the future. Not only scares but even a hint dark humor a great balance (unlike another dark comedy house but that'll be later). Didn't get scared too much here (only one small jump) but i saw it was mostly because of timing and their were more scared victims than I but still a horrifying trip into the Horizon and eventually the machine. The Effects in this house are sudden, most are new, and a great twist with the old ones and i loved every single one of them that fit perfectly in the setting and theme. Without saying any spoilers to spoil the fun the Horizon had a great look onto its surroundings and macabre. There wasn't any very new different scenes and seemed like i was in the same one throughout the house and only distinguishing it by a particular effect but doesn't seem that you'll see very much of the workings in Horizon but still a fun house to go through. And with that being said there isn't very much a story unlike the rest i reviewed. It's a fun house and worth to run to. Scares:3.5/5 Scenery/Atmosphere:4/5 Story:1.5/5 Effects:5/5 Scenes:2.5/5 Overall:6.5/10 The Foresaken-This house has really good effects that creeped me and even made me more than interested in going back, and i just want to go back and do spend time looking at this certain masterpiece of effects with the mix of scareactors actually scaring very well done. Barely any story to go on but still a great house with or without it. The only thing is that in the beginning seem very repetitive rooms and nothing look at some and just wish to go to the exciting end which made this house past average i didn't get scared until this part but when i did meet this place i just only wished for more but sadly ended abruptly which made the score lower. So this house is good in certain scenes but the rest seem pretty dull. Scares:2/5 Scenery:3/5 Story:1/5 Effects:4/5 Scenes:2.5/5 Overall:4.5/10 Winter's Night:The Haunting of Hawthorne Cementery -Love the introduction(inside the building) to this house I only hate that The Thing trailer is stuck on repeat on the stage where the line of this house is and no where near The Thing's line. And if you wonder if it is freezing in there, Spoiler Alert it isn't it's like a little more colder than the past soundstages but not by a lot. Anyways, my wish was granted and this house have the old fashioned feel of a regular haunted house scenes and mood and gave the HHN treatment and it was a blast to go through also the scares were pretty topnotch with the great scenery that made this house very special. But barely any effects that could be the icing on the cake. There was a mix of good and ok scenes all around but the scareactors were in tip top shape last night. Never saw the story used very well even though i was dearly interested in seeing the couple it was still a pretty good house and worth of your time. Scares:4/5 Scenery:5/5 Story: 1.5/5 Effects: 3/5 Scenes:3.5/5 Overall:7/10 Nightingales:Blood Prey: My most anticipated house which i had so many expectations (maybe a bit too high) but still delivered and was a really great house. I loved the look of this house and how awesome in detail it looked and the feel seem so realistic it was scary enough the best looking of the houses of the night. Got some scares in and enjoyed and the effects were above average and fun to see the nightingales do their stuff feasting on the corpses and ready for a fight against the few troops. Some Scenes were really interesting in particular and can't wait to go in them again and again on the weekend and the following weekends to come. This house is a must for any and all fans of HHN work. Scares:4.5/5 Scenery:5/5 Story: 4/5 Effects:4/5 Scenes:5/5 Overall 9/10 The Thing: The intro seem very interesting but not as much as Winter's Night but still this house does a solid job promoting the prequel to my favorite horror movie. There isn't too much animatronics like the 07 version but i don't know if it was for better or for worst because the new thing creatures seem the same on the scareactors I did love some scenes of this place mostly near the end where got really interesting and raised my hopes in watching this film. The effects of this house is really well done that mix a pretty good cast of actors as most of it depends on them. There was some scares especially at the end that makes me want for more but theres always friday. Scares:3/5 Scenery:3/5 Story:4/5 Effects:3.5 Scenes: 2/5 Overall: 7/10 H.R Bloodenguts:Holidays of Horror-This was in the bottom of my anticipated because of an already done idea and seem like stapled with another black humor comedy but i was kind of wrong as the only que video/ was nearly the saving grace to this as i had to wait for this house the longest than any other house of the night (1-2 hours) but i really did enjoy the que video and the starting story as i did love the idea of a manic actor loosing it on live television but can't hardly make out most of what he is saying because of the random drunks behind me blabbering about god knows what and just wished there are subtitles for the fans and people who have nothing better to do. But it was greatly themed this house and does have the comedy aspect but not as much as the past comedy houses like Clever or Zombie. And for the scares lets just say it was great looking at the rooms better than the scareactor themselves. But some scenes were way better than others like Arbor Day had a great scene and thankskilling but i love how they organize this house into these scenes and i did enjoy myself but for the waiting in the horrific line i didn't see that as really worth it but if you find it to be 20 min or less is pretty good for a small laugh or two or wishing for Meaty to come at the end with a chainsaw. Scares:2/5 Scenery:3.5/5 Story:4/5 Effects: 2/5 Scenes 3/5 Overall:5/10 My Anticipated List (Houses) 1.Nightingales:Blood Prey 2.The In-Between 3.Winter Night:The Haunting of Hawthorne Cemetery 4.The Thing 5.Nevermore:The Madness of Poe 6. The Foresaken 7. Saws&Steam:Into The Machine 8:H.R Bloodenguts: Holidays of Horror My Ranked List (Houses) 1.Nightingales:Blood Prey 2.Nevermore:The Madness of Poe 3.In-Between 4.Winter's Night:The Haunting of Hawthorne Cemetery 5.The Thing 6.Saws&Steam: Into The Machine 7. H.R Bloodenguts:Holidays of Horror 8. The Forsaken Hope you enjoyed the reviews! Most of the houses had their own specific advantage that made them stand out and i love this cast of houses this year than years before can't say much with the scarezones though. Well I hope this was informational for you and hope you had a great night like i had or even better. "The House Always Win" -Cinema
  19. World War I was never fought in American Soil so there can't be a room like that and plus we know there's a President's Day part in H.R so there it is.
  20. The funniest thing is that Ops aren't there when you need it when i went on my 2nd walkthrough in Orphanage and i was stuck where the floating doll room was and didn't know where to go, i didn't see any Ops or crowd to show me a way as it was very dark and the scareactor pointed the way which kinda made me laugh and pretty annoyed of how Ops are handled and their positions. Yes there great for the drunks problem but i hardly do see that problem really happen. But yes major damage on scenery and there not in places you want them to be.
  21. Wished for a more thrilling billboard like with a little dash of blood to show the teenagers that this year won't such as because of marketing most of my younger friends believed this year is going to tank only seeing by the commercial and billboards (but they get easily persuaded if they took one peak of the website and the houses/scarezones).
  22. Pretty good price and better with discount and that sorta of thing so i may pick up the hoodie during the coldness coming in or at the end of the event or to survive in Winter's Night seem like an excellent start to this even though hoping for more detail next year. Like Tagline and Icon or Houses then i would be more excited but i do need a new hoodie as i worn out my HOS hoodie back in 09.
