  1. I kind of expected that Carnival Graveyard and Dead Exposure suffered from some changes by the time I visited. Such a bummer that I missed out on the last bungee witch in Scary Tales too. Definitely relieved now that I picked Cabana Bay over Aventura. Sorry you had such a rough time there. Only issue I ran into was a leaky air conditioner. We let staff know the day we noticed it and they fixed it while we were out to lunch.
  2. Walkthrough 3 on Saturday night was finally the perfect run through this house! Facade witch was grooving, the Wizard of Oz room characters changed up, the mirror witch changed position, I got every smell even stronger, and Humpty Dumpty finally managed to have actors that actually popped out and interacted instead of standing there looking ill. I have so much love for this one. Tough to top Slaughter and Poltergeist, but this one rivals them both for favorite house as a whole. Rapunzel and facade witch actresses were among the hardest working at the event, love them!
  3. One of my most anticipated houses and it totally delivered. Slaughter may be my favorite, but this is arguably the best and gives it a run for it's money. Gonna be hard to top walkthrough 1, as I got so many great moments out of it. My only qualm: 4 girls ahead of us totally ruined walkthrough 2's momentum. I just missed the giant skull (haven't gotten it once in 3 walkthroughs *sob*) because of them stopping and running constantly. Though it was enjoyable to see one of them fall flat on her behind and knock the one holding onto her over as well when an actor jumped out in the kitchen. XD The flow of the scenes from one to the next is just seamless, which is probably the biggest strength. 11/10
  4. My favorite house! However, I feel like I've yet to have a perfect walkthrough of it after 3 times through. Amazon Cannibals was totally empty on my 3rd run yesterday Pumpkin Guts guy and the Swamp Yetis are always on top of their game. Really great actors. Also, I would have totally bought a Schittie's Kidz custom shirt if they were an option! That room was fantastic. Hopefully Tuesday or Wednesday brings that dream run that's eluded me so far.
  5. Meh, it's Blumhouse. Happy Death Day was better on Thursday, First Purge was better on Saturday. Very happy to get my favorite character from First Purge (and the only character/costume in that movie I enjoyed) on Satruday, because he wasn't in his window on Thursday and instead I just got hit by water with nobody there to "shoot" it at me, lol. I will say that at night, I could appreciate the small variants in the Happy Death Day sets a lot more. The garage is cool to walk through, as well as the party room and the Purge intro room. Bottom of the list, but at least the cast tried their best with what little they had.
  6. I want to review this house, but the review directly before me would almost be my exact words. Absolutely loved it. 2nd walkthrough at night vs. 1st at daytime made a big difference. Got to see a lot more of the scenery inside, even with it still being very dark. Also, I took a direct fog bath at the start of run 2, which was refreshing. :p I'm a sucker for lighting effects and colors, this was a trip and a half.
  7. This was definitely another case of my 2nd walkthrough being infinitely better than my first (and wound up being better than the 3rd as well). More actors were added and they were way more aggressive. The sets are gorgeous and the way both air and water were utilized kicked everything up a notch in terms of immersion. Started at the near-bottom of my list after walkthrough 1. Walkthrough 2 elevated it to probably above Trick 'r Treat.
  8. This was a strange case. I think it was one of the best-decorated house with some of the best sets. But the actors seemed sparse on both walkthroughs I've had so far, and were fairly repetitive with their scenes as well. I see potential in a couple of the new scares that can be utilized in future houses, but I just felt there was a lot of space that could have been filled with a few more actors. And the one scare I looked forward to, the actor was fairly sluggish with the popout scare on both trips through. Also definitely seemed like a house that could have been toned up a little bit more in terms of gore, almost like it wants to go there but only makes it halfway in a scene or two. Wound up surprisingly close to the bottom of my ranking so far. Not to say it was bad, maybe I just had 2 mediocre walkthroughs. It definitely delivers on the aesthetic though!
  9. I had low, LOW expectations going into this. The walkthroughs I had seen online didn't seem super strong and I felt it was a tough movie to really do much with. However, I will say that after 2 walkthroughs this was easily the best overall cast of actors across all houses. Every Michael went all-out, Jamie and the Loomises (Loomi?) were all having a lot of fun; and on our 2nd walkthrough, even with security having to walk into the house and stupid kids ahead of us, they still managed to remain unfazed and hit their marks. That's something I very rarely see, so kudos to them. Also, much love to the Harvest actor keeping us entertained in the long queue on Thursday. MVP of the event.
  10. First walkthrough on Thursday was definitely the strongest of the 3 we did. Love the chocolate smell in the little neighborhood section. And the house facade in the soundstage is lowkey one of the best at the event. The werewolf actors were on point on Thursday's run. I have yet to get a Sam to wave at me after a popout, so that bums me out a little, but that doesn't mean I'll stop trying. I heard one guest say they were able to get that, so now it's my main mission for my last 2 nights there! Good house, probably middle of the pack based on my walkthroughs so far.
  11. 2nd walkthrough on Saturday was infinitely better than the first that I did on Friday. I think about 3 more Demogorgon actors were added to the final hallway on Saturday evening compared to Friday opening. I got some really good ricochet popouts from them. Also, was pleased to see the actors switched up between Lucas and Mike for some variety there. And I got Steve to nod and smirk at me when I called out his name! The scareactors playing Hopper were amazing btw, caught one twirling his gun after his scare as we passed around the other side. What a badass. Not my favorite, but my appreciation for it rose immensely after that 2nd run.
  12. Definitely packed at the gates so far. Thursday and Friday were perfect, got everything done, repeats & started on 3rd walkthroughs last night with Express and S&S. Today...we'll see. 2nd time in Stranger Things & Dead Exposure and 3rd in Scary Tales yesterday evening were all far superior to the previous walks in each. Anyone looking to find me, I'll be the one heading to Slaughter (my favorite) first with a Midnight Snack 2 shirt proudly on display! :p
  13. Just arrived in gorgeous Orlando from snowy Syracuse! First year attending with a buddy, staying for a week; I'm ready for an amazing experience
