  1. I think we are far enough along with speculation that I can say it is a similar concept to the Lonesome Death Of Jordy Verrill from Creepshow. That was originally based on a Lovecraft story about a meteorite crashing to earth and bringing strange, dangerous alien vegetation with it. I think that is the gist, but I know no details other than maybe a crashed plane set piece. I think that's been mentioned.
  2. I've never done express. My GF and I give ourselves at least three days at the event, do stay and scream every time and are generally able to see whatever we want and re-do ones we liked the best. This year we'll be there for many days and five HHN nights. We did four last year and liked not having to do everything every night. It is fun to be able to spend some extra time in the zones. I've been lucky enough to be there for two chainsaw clown years and they are often my favorites to watch in action.
  3. Hmm... may be shifting in the Blumhouse. Now I'm even less into it?
  4. So, and I'm copy and pasting from my own post here: "Trick r Treat, Stranger Things, Blumhouse Vol. 2, Halloween 4, Poltergeist, Slaughter Sinema, Dead Exposure: patient Zero, Oz-related thing, Carnival Graveyard, and a very naughty Meteor" None of that is factual, huh? I get that maybe you don't get jokes, but please read the entire post before the criticism? If you still think I'm wrong... I can not help you, Sir. Edit- is this just confusion? Did you maybe think I was posting about Hollywood somehow?
  5. I stand by what I wrote. Not the joke part. And for Blumhouse, expect to have a Happy Day playing a board game but after losing your social media pals. And Halloween 4 is Halloween 4 because it's Halloween 4?
  6. They were gonna, but Chris Hardwick's in hot water and Yvette Nicole Brown said no.
  7. They're doing a house based on each season of the Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead and I think The First Purge? If that is wrong: Trick r Treat, Stranger Things, Blumhouse Vol. 2, Halloween 4, Poltergeist, Slaughter Sinema, Dead Exposure: patient Zero, Oz-related thing, Carnival Graveyard, and a very naughty Meteor.
  8. I found this funny connection between the last instance of the Carey Drive-In and the new one. Check out 6:06 to see a familiar code-name. The other board seemed to hate this post, so feel free to pile on and tell me there is ABSOLUTELY NO CONNECTION and that I am a BAD DOG. A very bad dog. Lack of announcements really makes people punchy, huh?
  9. We may see each other that night or Thursday anyway. We don't leave until Friday. Mentally I'm there already. heh heh
  10. If anyone is doing the earlier Unmasking The Horror tour on Oct 3rd, I shall see you there. Super excited!
  11. Oh, I've seen it. That's what made me wonder. Actors Universal Orlando™ is seeking Actors. Please prepare a one-minute monologue to perform as the audition. - Female: 5’7” to 5’11” with an athletic build - Male: 5’5”-6’2”, with strong improvisational skills - Male: African American 5’11” and taller with strong improvisational skills Voice Actors Universal Orlando™ is seeking Male Voice Actors for Halloween Horror Nights™ with strong improvisational skills. Puppeteering skills is a plus, but not required. Candidates should prepare a one minute monologue demonstrating three distinctly different strong character voices as their audition. Puppeteers Universal Orlando™ is seeking Puppeteers with varying levels of experience for Halloween Horror Nights™. Audition will consist of an interview. Candidates may bring a puppet of their choice to perform song that will be provided at the audition if requested by panel. Male and Female Dancers Universal Orlando™ is seeking Male and Female Dancers with an athletic build and strong in the dance styles of Hip/Hop and/or Jazz. EDIT- and I hope this is public info. A friend showed it to me and I assumed it wouldn't be a secret.
  12. With the casting call out for dancers, I wonder if there will be a Thriller breakdown in the Vamp zone or maybe somewhere else. Maybe the Chucky zone is that big to accommodate backup dancers? And the call for puppeteers could be for the Chucky or clown zones as well. Unless the Oz related house requires puppets or dancing. That is the house I feel I know the least about.
  13. Since Jack was found in 1980 in a carnival graveyard, could Ragtag be a prequel house with Jack possibly not even appearing? Maybe just the Jack In The Box? The misspelled version of his name and "Jack in The Box" pictures make me think maybe we'll get an Icon who isn't an overall icon. Or maybe they're just setting things up for future events. maybe Easter eggs for 30? I at least like the nods to Jack and the Caretaker. Glad they aren't being totally erased.
  14. I wonder if they will update the site with new video tapes for announced originals tomorrow. That would be great. And if Snacks is a video store of doom type situation, I guess that makes it the "icon" house for the event? At least theme-wise?
  15. As long as it isn't the Rob Zombie version I'll probably enjoy it on some level. Also, if it is one of the cheesy sequels anyway, I kind of want Michael Myers to yell "DONKEY!" at some point because it's in Shrek and he's Mike Myers.
  16. HHN has done a house dedicated to the original and for part 2. The next logical choice is 4, as it is the next Michael chapter. 3 would be tons of fun, but they'll want the Myers iconography this year. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Mike Myers belongs in Shrek.
  17. I really don't think there will be a Blumhouse mash up and I think a Halloween and Chucky are here to stay. I also think Chucky is getting a bigger zone than I thought. Maybe that is where the foam comes in to play? And I am thinking Klowns for sure for the other zone.
  18. I'm going to have to be the ray of obnoxious sunshine who's super excited for this year's event already. To me the announced scare-zones sound better than last year. Last year had TrT and that was about it. Maybe the clowns. Love me some chainsaw clowns. Anyway, The Harvest sounds better than AoH. Sounds like there will be more to it to tie it together as a zone. Vamp sounds infinitely better than the Purge and Chucky taking up another part of New York sounds crazy fun to me. I effin' love Chucky. I'm probably going to enjoy anything in the Central Park area. I love the aesthetic. I come from a place in which I am pretty much always surrounded by trees. I enjoy trees and what they do with them. That area isn't so much about the scare as the feel to me, and the feel is pure Halloween magic. Now I hope Hollywood turns out to be a fun and at least semi-ambitious zone. Won't take much to be better than last years Bone Zone. I found the Bone Zone to be confusing and irritating. Maybe I was doing it wrong. What was I talking about? Ah yes, my hick bumpkin enthusiasm. I'm feelin' it. Ok, and now remember, if anyone asks you about Stay and Scream, you tell them that means they have to hang out on City Walk until the time to enter the park, then enter the park with all the nice people. It just means stay in the area, yes, that is the ticket. Stay and Scream's just for US, everybody. Shhhhh... Also, my sister is going with my girlfriend and I this year and it will be her very first HHN, so that's also adding to my positivity. She's going to be blown away.
  19. Also, weird that they don't have a clickable videotape for Patient Zero since they made a great video for it.
  20. I want to see an 80's themed AoV show this year.
  21. ZONES! AOV! https://orlando.halloweenhorrornights.com/site#/hhn/details/announcements
  22. Awww man. I just made kind of an "Eeeeee!" kind of noise and had to literally stop myself from jumping up and down more than once when thinking about THREE scare zone reveals and likely more tomorrow. Luckily no one at work saw me. Heh heh I'm crazy excited to see what the theme will be. Hopefully that'll also come tomorrow.
  23. Seriously though, if Lost Boys doesn't show up this year, they must do it in the future. Maybe they will pay attention to the fact that people were excited by the thought of it? And they have to do it the same year as Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. Let's go to Bartertown. Yes, I want THAT much saxophone at the event.
