    This one doesn’t surprise me at all. After it being the best Scare Zone of last year, and all the buzz surrounding it. This was a done set deal. 

     

    The scare zone was really good last year! And hopefully the house ends up being the best of this year too! 

     

    I need to check out the movie, if I can find for cheap on dvd.

    There's a strong possibility that this will be the most originals since 21. So I'm still hyped!

    If they’re like 21. They”ll need a storyline for the event, and maybe something or someone to headline it.

     

    Wasn’t the original rumor about this year was the 80’s? Well you can’t do Eddie. So you got The Usher, The Director, or maybe even someone of an different origin. Or maybe scrap the icon idea, and still stick with the story or concept.

    So I reckon TrT is the only unannounced IP in that list that will be at HHN28, alongside Stranger Things. 

     

    Be interesting to see what other IPs are in the mix, and how many!

    I wouldn’t mind if those IPs all came. But I’m bummed NoES isn’t in the mix anymore. But man I hope it is, i”ll be shittin my pants in excitement.

    So home.... could refer to as something with an icon. Like with The Director who’s had a house with All-Nite-Die-In back in ‘03 and ‘06. Had a scare zone in 2015. 

     

    Or maybe horror comes home in 2018, perhaps? Like maybe like Sweet 16’s event.

     

    or this could something out of the ordinary we would least expect.

    The Strangers won’t come to hhn. The sequel was pretty much forgotten about, and it was just a shiny IP to use in an house and scarezone. But they still had the costumes.

    No, I saw it as how much pull it would have at the event, FNaF NoES and Poltergeist being the biggest in that category.

     

    Box office success rules out FNaF, but I'll go check the rest's box office numbers

    Hellraiser did ok back in ‘87. But  Poltergiest and NOES(including dream warriors) did quite well. 

     

    Dream Warriors in today’s ticket price inflation adjustment would make over $100 million in the states.

     

    Poltergeist would make over $200 million in today’s currency.

     

    but my money that it’s Freddy.

    The only way I’d imagine Universal would want an announcement this week is if it’s a big announcement. Few people in the know seem to be suggesting this may be the case, which begs the question. What exactly is coming?

     

    My guess would be either the rumoured Halloween mashup house with preview, maybe Alien, or IT. I’m still hoping for IT, but more likely to be Halloween. 

    Alien- no

     

    IT- maybe but 2019. WB/NL will do a promotional tie-in. 

     

    Halloween- likely

     

    Universal making another announcement will be great soon! 

     

    Also leaked maps may be coming soon in the next few months. So I’m exicted to see the leaked lineup.
