  1. This is what I hope we'll see for next year, and this is with 12 houses, 6 IP's, and 6 originals. IP's: -Stranger Things 2 -Killer Klownz 3D -Chucky's House of Horrors (Based on Child's Play Remake) -Slasher -Leprechaun Originals: -Slaughter Sinema II -New Original -New Original -New Original -Dollhouse Sequel -Havoc 3
  2. So what will the 5 new locations probably be? I think Soundstage 25 obviously won't be used, and they'll go back to Soundstage 21 or 19. F&F queue I could definitely see. And... Three new tents, I guess?
  3. I don't think we'll see Halloween 5 or Halloween 2018 next year. I think, based on their pattern with Halloween, we'll be seeing a house every two years. So with that, I personally think we'll be seeing Halloween 5 at 30.
  4. Because of the ticket booth prop put into Carnival Graveyard on the last night, with the words "I'M BACK"... And there supposedly being a photo of The Usher behind it, does this mean we can see The Usher return as the Icon next year for his 10th anniversary?
  5. During our UTH tour, our guide told us the full story: Sal's Amusement Salvage, a junkyard for abandoned carnival attraction that is infamous for its uncaring owners and murders. Every now and then, a new carnival attraction will be brought inside and left to rot, like the rest of the junkyard. The owners don't care for the place and leave it in dismay, as well as failing to do anything about the carnies, since they live here now. Anyone know what the prop put in on the last night was hinting at? It was a ticket booth with a sign saying "I'M BACK"... Lot of people saying it's The Usher cause of the ticket booth, and supposedly a photo of him behind it, and that he'll be Icon next year. Anyone know anything about this?
  6. 2006 - I thought Psycho Path was a mash of all the Psycho movies..? 2007 - Alright. I heard from people that house was okay, but would be a much better house if re-done today. 2008 - Correction! Dead Exposure was in ST1, and Hallow in ST2! But most of the reviews I've read had this at #1, so... Yeh. 2009 - I heard this house was pretty bad. 2010 & Beyond - Much thanks! Many of my friends who have been going for years said this was one of the best houses ever, so that's where I got it.
  7. I should've been more specific. I meant more off to the side, out of the way of the floats. And once the parade is done for the day, they can quickly set up the queue line.
  8. There was something interesting I noticed about Sprung Tent 1 and the houses that go in there. It seems every time there's an original in there, it's one of, if not the best house of the year. Whenever there's an IP, it's usually one of the worst houses! 2010 - Catacombs: Black Death Rising (ORIGINAL) - Reviews I've seen say this was the best house along with Havoc. 2011 - The In-Between 3D (ORIGINAL) - Many reviews say this and Nightingales were the best houses, and that this is the best 3D house. 2012 - Alice Cooper: Welcome To My Nightmare (IP) - Reviews I've seen say this was the worst house. 2013 - Urban Legends: La Llorona (ORIGINAL) - Reviews I've seen say this was one of the best houses. 2014 - Dollhouse of the Damned (ORIGINAL) - Many have called this one of the best HHN houses of all time. 2015 - The Purge (IP) - To be fair, it was a last-minute house, but it was still pretty bad. 2016 - Tomb of the Ancients (ORIGINAL) - Many agree this was the best original that year, and one of the better houses that year. 2017 - Scarecrow: The Reaping (ORIGINAL) - Pretty much everyone agrees this was best house of 2017. 2018 - Dead Exposure: Patient Zero (ORIGINAL) - Almost everyone has this in their top 3 for this year. Just something interesting I noticed. Goes to show that this space is very good when it comes to original houses.

  12. Eh... Not really :/ Being a fan of the series, I would like to see it as a house. I assume we will see the movie as a house when it comes out, especially since Blumhouse is the creator. I could see it being as either a very good and impressive puppet house, or a horrible and tacky house that messes up horribly just like Stranger Things.
  13. Alright, after reading some of the comments on this thread and seeing of how Mike Aiello said to expect us to see more 80's houses... 99% Chance-of-being-Wrong Speculation Map! 17. Very quick question... When will the HHN 29 Speculation thread go up? I think almost everyone's ready!
  18. Welp. The time has come. HHN 28 has come to an end, and the speculation is about to begin for HHN 29. So, why not get my final review out? This year was a very strong year. I've been going since 2015, and this is hands-down the best year I've done. So many good houses, strong scare zones, and good theme. So, let's get started with the rankings! HOUSES #1 - Poltergeist - Hands down the best house of the year. When I first saw the film, I was very concerned as to how it was going to transfer over into a house, and they did it perfectly. Great sets, very good scares, and it feels like you're part of the movie. Also, that opening is a great way to start the house, and now one of my favorite scenes in an HHN house. - 5/5 #2 - Slaughter Sinema - SUCH A FUN HOUSE!!! Hilarious movies, great scares, simple yet good sets, and just fun! Barber Chop was definitely my favorite, since the barber (the bald one) started recognizing me, and I always had fun with him when I entered that room. I hope that from what I've been hearing is right, and that this will become our next HHN franchise. This is definitely one of my all-time favorite houses. - 5/5 #3 - Seeds of Extinction - Another fun house. Brilliant scares, great atmosphere, cool sets, and lots of fun easter eggs! I got to go through this house completely on my own twice on Tuesday night (which everyone knows was a completely dead night) and one of them followed me throughout the whole thing. And the second time, he was waiting for me at the front! I loved this house. - 5/5 #4 - Dead Exposure: Patient Zero - A very good house... When it's daytime. During the daytime, this house works perfectly. Your eyes haven't adjusted to the darkness yet, so the pitch black/blindness concept works throughout the whole thing, and the scares are on-point. But at night, you can see everything which not only ruins the scares, but also the concept of you being blind. A great house, but only at certain times. - 4.5/5 #5 - Scary Tales: Deadly Ever After - A solid house. Amazing façade, fun storyline, and twisted fairytales! The only problem is that it doesn't have the best scares. Don't get me wrong, it does have quite a few good scares, but the rest of them fall flat unfortunately. But... There is one amazing thing about this house that shall be remembered for years... IT SO YUMMY IN MEH TUMMY! - 4.5/5 #6 - Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers - A short and sweet house. Michael is everywhere of course, a fun cast, a couple of clever scares, and it's just fun. But, the only problem is of course... We've seen this already, and done in a much better way. That plus the fact that the sets really aren't the best. Other than that, still a solid and fun house. - 4/5 #7 - Carnival Graveyard: Rust in Pieces - A bit of a disappointment. Beautiful sets and atmosphere, but only like two good scares in here. Plus that the best scare of the year (metal barrels from Earnest Lee) were removed, replaced with a plastic dummy, then replaced with plastic barrels that made no sound at all, ruining the scare. A cool house, but pretty disappointing. - 3.5/5 #8 - The Horrors of Blumhouse - Come at me haters. While this house lacks in having the best scares and best sets, it makes up for it with how fun it is and good it does at making you feel like you go through these two movies. Happy Death Day is hands-down the best part, with Babyface being everywhere and a fun killer, and that it makes you feel like you're walking right through the movie. But then you get to The First Purge... The first and last parts of this section are good, while the rest of it sucks. The first section is fun with the party guys, and the last section had a very good scare with the guy behind the door. Still wish the whole thing was Happy Death Day though. - 3.5/5 #9 - Trick 'r Treat - What the hell happened to this house?! At the beginning, it was a great house with good scares and good sets. By the end, there were no good scares, and the sets lost their feel! I don't know if the Scareactors just lost their timing and pace, or if they toned down the lighting on the grand sets, but something happened that hurt the greatness of this house. - 3/5 #10 - Stranger Things - What a generic and horrible house. Nothing but Demagorgans, not a SINGLE good scare, and amazing puppets that were shoved off to where nobody could see them. I know it's going to happen, but I really hope this doesn't come back for next year. - 2/5 SCARE ZONES #1 - Revenge of Chucky - What a pleasant surprise! This zone is so much fun! Great character interactions, Chucky roasting and cursing out people is amazing, and the operator being added was great! I had this at the bottom of my hype list for scare zones, and I was astonished at how much I loved it. - 5/5 #2 - Killer Klownz from Outer Space - What a fun zone. The Klownz are amazing, the ice cream brothers are so much fun, and smoke bubbles! Wish the projections were more utilized though, as I doubt anyone noticed the shadow puppets or the tent taking off. - 5/5 #3 - Vamp '85: New Year's Eve - At the beginning, this seemed destined to be the best zone. With fun 80's characters and music, a live dance show, and a DJ going around. But by the end, the zone lost it's fun. The DJ was getting annoying by spamming the "YEEEEEEEEH" button, and if you saw the dance show, you pretty much saw the whole zone. - 4/5 #4 - The Harvest - An unworthy sequel to Scarecrow, but still a cool zone. The Scareactors and costume designers saved it. Still confused though as to why the IP's where put on the sides for no reason at all (like, why put them there if you're not going to have the IP characters there)? - 3/5 #5 - Twisted Traditions - A rip-off of Trick 'r Treat. Pretty yes, but good or scary no. Generic, reused props from Trick 'r Treat, and just lame. - 2/5 SHOW Academy of Villains: Cyberpunk - Disappointing. Generic music, lame plot, and misuse of the stage. You have this giant stage that could be used for a much bigger and grander AoV show, and they cover it all up with a platform and the actors only use the center of it. Hands down the worst of the three AoV shows. - 3/5 Thank you for reading this review! Now let the HHN 29 speculation begin!
  19. This house isn't... Bad per se. It's just okay. The HDD part is hands-down the best part of the house since it follows the movie very well, and of course you have Babyface everywhere. I also love the surprise Babyface in the transition from HDD to TFP (also, they should have a surprise Babyface at the end of the house rather than the purger). Then... Ya got The First Purge. Let me just say this right off the bat: This section sucks. Even thought it's literally built to be Purge, it still feels tacked on and like it replaced a different property. The scares are out-in-the-open rather than cleverly hidden like in HDD, and... It's Purge. It feels exactly like Scream The Purge from 2015. And I've already said it before, but: The Purge, no matter what, doesn't make a good house. It's not meant to be a house. It lends itself to be a scare zone more, and the two we've had were both some of the best scare zones HHN has ever had. I really don't get why this couldn't have just been "The Horrors of Blumhouse: Happy Death Day" or just "Happy Death Day". HDD lends itself to be a house, and it makes a great half-house in here, but then it has to end and become more Purge. Like, is there some sort of contract that requires them to have the house involving Purge or something? But anyway, this house is just okay. If it were all HDD, it'd probably be a good, maybe even great house. But nope, TFP has to ruin everything. If THoBH returns next year (which, unfortunately it probably will), I'd like to see them do Happy Death Day 2 U, and just HDD2U. And if they're to do two properties again, then Happy Death Day 2 U and... The Girl? Since it's in Hollywood's house this year, I could see them doing The Girl. Rating: 3/5
  20. Before I edit the post to include this, I just have a suggestion for you... Maybe you could put a bit more story and detail into your ideas? Cause just about all of them are very brief and not that descriptive. Just a suggestion!
  21. This house is amazing during the daytime. Cause your eyes haven't adjusted to the dark yet, and the pitch-black/blindness concept works perfectly. During the night though, your eyes have adjusted and you can pretty much see everything, and the house becomes eh.
  22. This year is pretty much perfect. (Except no B&T)
