  1. I get what you're saying, but there isn't a single situation where this combination of weapons isn't amazing
  2. How sure of we of the house content in "The Fallen?"
  3. I assumed the fallen but the Tungusta event I didn't even think of. That would be a good idea. I just looked it up though and the timelines are off. Could be the Kola Superdeep Borehole and the Well to Hell myth?
  4. Is beard guy wearing a Soviet Army Uniform?
  5. I remember missing the first year HHN did the Walking Dead and being disappointed because I was really into the show at the time. I was pretty bummed because I knew it would be sometime before they ever did it again. I've been wrong before but to be wrong x4 is a whole other level. This is why they say be careful what you wish for.
  6. ^ This is all really good information and you're going to have a blast. My first year was to impress a girl (I had an interest for a long time but never had the nerves to go) and I ended up loving the event. I'd like to add a counterpoint to the first house comment. In my opinion there we're two points my first night where I was the most uneasy: 1. Standing outside the front gates and 2. In line for my first house. At both those moments there was an overwhelming since of awe. You may even walk out of your first house with a mix of excitement and "huh, that was it?" - not because its bad but if you're like me, an overactive imagination will convince yourself that you're about to experience terror beyond comprehension. What I would give to experience this event blind again. Honestly I wish my first time had been solo. HHN does a wonderful job of world building and when things go right the end result is fantastic (this is why this forum harps on cohesion). Going by yourself will really let you be immursed in realm of vampires, monsters, rogue supersoldiers - all sorts of badass stuff. If I'm able to go this year I might specifically go one night by myself. Do what houses you want to do first but feel free to take a dip out of your gameplan for a short line. Your favorite houses will probably be different than your expectations. Watching source material beforehand will help you enjoy details but I had never seen Halloween before I did it and its one of the best houses I've ever done. Oh and the Irish Bar in NY (we call in the Winchester) is a great place to grab a pint and wait for it to all blow over if you find yourself in need of a break
  7. Is the construction within the corn what we thought to be the clapboard church? It doesn't seem to be...
  8. This scene is a masterpiece https://youtu.be/Obtc9U6hEYM Also Jason X, for what it is, is far better than it deserves to be
  9. One of my favorite things about this site is everyones different opinions - also I honestly thought the best house last year was the Walking Dead and the worst was TCM.
  10. A user with the name criticalanalysis critically analyzes the event and everybody loses their minds
  11. They have a 50's Sci-fi zone and they're not putting it in New York? And to top it off its a repeat?
  12. Haha I had never heard of Nostalgia Critic but I'll have to check them out
  13. Wait so Catacothic might now be a ruse/misinformation? If this years lineup has anymore twists then I'd say its safe to confirm M. Night Shyamalan as HHN 27's icon
  14. I don't even think it's a bad show, I just don't think a dance off is good for the environment HHN puts in so much work to create
  15. I know I'm in the minority here but I don't think AoV belongs at HHN and it's a bit of an atmosphere ruiner for me
  16. For the record actual terrifying vampires is what I'm hoping for. A real vampire house is at the top of things I want to see at HHN. My profile photo is even a Vampire: The Masquerade reference. I think vampire clowns is probably the worst idea possible because not only would it be another clown house, but they would literally be just clowns with fangs. I have no idea how it entered actual discussion and can't tell you how disappointed I'd be if it was somehow true Edit: Legacy posted this on the other forum- I'm officially back on the hype train It's also using the aesthetics of a residence. An actual house. With vampires. That's really all you need to know. This will be a serious house. I'm still not 100% how it'll work but I'm very confident it won't be funny.
  17. Haha I actually thought it would work because by covering up in makeup they could block out the sunlight
  18. Vampire clowns aren't anything official- I speculated off a a hint I believe Legacy stated that "you have to invite them (vampires) in." Between fitting the theme and the photos posted (that looks kinda clownish) its taken off here and on the other board as a potential idea. It's kind of spiralling out of control, it was just a guess on my part but who knows
  19. I highly doubt they would go into this much detail but the dogtag in said photo doesn't have a notch in it and is entirely round. This places the time frame post WWII for certain. If its a staged photo they made themselves this probably means nothing and a dog tags just a dog tag. However if it's a blurred historical photo, they chose it to represent the time period and unless its for the Sci-Fi zone, I have no idea what's going on
  20. Haha no worries! Just another thought because I was trying to figure out where that uniform would fit in... We've had no indication of any house that would relate to this period or uniform so I figured it's just a photo they threw in there. However then I thought, why a Korean War era uniform? Because of the time period - the 1950's Sci-Fi Zone
  21. That fact that it's a solid color, pre-body armor and the collar. It looks like a field jacket from that era. Above is examples of both US Korean and Vietnam uniforms. Check the collar fold, but this is just speculation
  22. There's no way that's Havoc, the uniform doesn't match AT ALL. In fact it looks 1940's - Vietnam. Just for speculations sake, the tank from Nightingales was in the Gothic church in 25YoM&M and we are having a Gothic house this year. On top of that WW1 had the Spanish Flu which was on par if not worse than the Black Plague.
  23. Legacy made the statement that it's important to remember that you have to invite vampires in your house. I wonder if that means they'll be vampires in a disguise of some sort? Vampire Party Clowns? Vampire Cops?
  24. I think speculation is up in the air because NOTHING is being announced. Leaks or no leaks, we're still pretty much in the dark
  25. Happy Birthday! I'm hoping for steamboat lair to swamp transition to town/plantation overrun
