  1. I highly doubt it was an intentional connection but the actor who played Burton's dad in Star Trek was also in the show Oz I think so. Actually I'm really buying into the Bloody Mary returning theory right now. A Path of the Wicked house marks 2 sequels from that year. Even Stranger Things' Upside down could relate thematically.
  2. @Legacy @mystiquephreeq Pickle Rick Schwartz Pickles Alvin Schwartz Scary Tales to Tell in the Dark Del Toro is working on a film adaptation Is this the rainbow connection? https://www.amazon.com/Reading-Rainbow-Readers-Scary-Stories/dp/1587170361
  3. Well compound could lead to a few things 1. A mashup house 2. A literal compound as in a location where a group (a cult, militia, etc) resides (perhaps even a bunker?) 3. We know from Giggles and Gore that Evil Clowns are made and from Recollections that the Body Collectors are too. Anything I'm forgetting? 2. To produce or create by combining two or more ingredients or parts; compose or make up - To add to or intensify so as to make worse But I think our answer actually lies @mystiquephreeq not at a different rainbow, but rather somewhere over it
  4. There was a SA in Roanoke: Cannibal Colony that was entirely skinned. He looked like giant inverse Summer. I don't think its a hint, it just reminded me of that house when the episode premiered
  5. This scene reminded me of that skinless Wendigo in Roanoke when it first aired
  6. Everyone says Suprise is Happy Death Day but I'd place my money on it being Alien I think Surprise is a reference to the Chestburster. Maybe even specifically that the cast had no idea what was going to happen in the original chestbursting scene. The gif makes me think of Alien on multiple levels but the episode (Big Trouble in Little Sanchez) also contains the reference of Beth's Therapy monster basically being a Xenomorph. Maybe even to double down, the Rick plot of growing a new, younger Rick could relate to Alien Resurrection. Could be just wishful thinking but I think the IP fits the clue
  7. So I went through many pages on the IU forum a couple of hours ago but since the clues are here I'm taking a shot at Clue 5. Things we know: 5 is an original The code name is Poison Things I think I know: I could have sworn I read somewhere Run was a good guess Part 1: Shall we resume the stabbing? Potentially a sequel? Part 2: Someone was focussing on the beer but I think the giveaway is Stone Cold Steve Austin. Now this is where I have 2 WILDLY different theories. Theory 1 is my original theory. Theory 2 came to as I wrote this out Theory 1 - Steve Austin was in a movie called the Condemned about a Deathrow Prisoner Battle Royale. The 3rd Gif (You are now prisoners) makes me think we're getting a Hellgate Sequel. Theory 2 - this one's a little out there. The Wikipedia page for the Condemned says Steve Austin's name in the film is John Conrad. Joseph Conrad is the writer of Heart of Darkness (if you haven't read the book maybe you've seen Apocalypse Now). Gif 3 reminds me of a Heart of Darkness/ Apocalypse Now Col. Kurtz type situation
  8. I'm still flabbergasted that some of you were surprised that a guy named criticalanalysis critically analyzed the event. He was a critic, but a consistent one and that has value. Even though I disagreed with quite a bit of his opinions I miss his input on this board
  9. Well, a near Zero chance that is http://forums.insideuniversal.net/threads/halloween-horror-nights-28-speculation.12832/page-116
  10. Basically the only thing we do know is that it's for Zero ... and it looks like it may be announced tomorrow rather than today
  11. @Legacy on another board (inside universal forums) said there's going to be an announcement this week that's freak out worthy. Allegedly that announcement should be today and it should be for the original, Zero
  12. Ok so here's a guess Zero = Dead Exposure. Either a sequel or requel. The detective referred to by @mystiquephreeq and hinted at in @Legacy's clue IS Boris Shuster Charlie McPherson was the victim/main character in Dead Exposure. "His death didn't go unnoticed as Private Investigator Boris Shuster began to investigate the photographer's disappearance." (http://halloweenhorrornights.wikia.com/wiki/Boris_Shuster) This was the only house in the Hallow'd Past linked to the Detective. Perhaps Zero ties into Dead Exposure by being linked to Photo Negatives? It also links to the Ifirit's clue - Welcome now to the hallowed past - Dead Exposure was in this house Been awhile since we saw this last - No explanation needed Just one of many in that year - There were multiple Reflections of Fear houses in the Hallow'd Past Both times seen, it was linked to fear - Bloody Mary used fear to cure her patients - Fear was the Icon for the 20th Anniversary
  13. Hey now I agree, that would be very cool to see but what your described is essentially Body Collectors: Collections of thr past minus the Collectors http://halloweenhorrornights.wikia.com/wiki/Body_Collectors:_Collections_of_the_Past
  14. Remember when @mystiquephreeq said they spend weeks debating whether or not the 2009 Icon was a Doctor or a Detective?
  15. Well in that case see you guys in 224 pages https://www.amazon.com/Detective-Daddy-Mallory-Kane/dp/0373695675 WAIT A SECOND I'm either getting better or worse at this but something's happening It literally wasn't the same. The words were different and this was a direct, on the nose tip off. Maybe everyone but me figured it out but I just got it. In that case, I have to ask (and if it's outside the spirit of speculation then just ignore it) Is shocked a casual term used like "snowed" or am I overlooking another clue here? Double Edit: just got back from IU forums. @Legacy said "Think different zero." Detective becomes cop. Regular becomes daddy. The answer then must lead from a synonym for zero Zero becomes ________
  16. Detective? Detective Babylegs Midnight Detective Is Legacy's noir house finally happening? Just something to point out to those who can make better sense of things - I looked up the Baby legs clip and the tall guy doesn't say "Daddylegs," he says "Regularlegs." Not sure if it was just a random word change on captions or a clue Grasping at straws here but there's a movie called Zero Effect about a Detective Zero but I know absolutely nothing about it or how it could be relevant. It is based off of a Sherlock Holmes story however. If not for the inclusion of Daddy/Regularlegs my guess would have been that it's a house based on short detective stories. Did you know that the first detective story is accredited to Edgar Allan Poe? In addition he has a story called King Pest which features a character named Legs
  17. Or, hear me out Baby Legs is nothing without his legs. Daddy legs points us to the fact that legs is the hint. Now everyone knows that Legacy's clues are clues you have to read though, but did anyone stop to read his name? Legacy. Leg-acy - the answer has been in front of us this whole time. Legacy without his legs is simply ACY. But what is ACY? Our next clue lies here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ACY
  18. Does that mean there's no chance for a Chucky house, or just no chance your clues are for one?
  19. All this talk of baby legs just makes me want a Chucky house again The Hallowed Past - did that house happen to use the vortex tunnel?
  20. Eddie Schmidt was originally named Eddie Sawyer if that helps
  21. You use wishful twice - Robert Englund was is the Wishmaster. He just so also happens to be in A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: Dream Master Plug n' Play - You forgot the power glove Ragtag is in Missouri. Not quite Springwood but the same state. Nevermind ALTHOUGH, You use VS A LOT. There's some potential that if I'm right I'm just scratching the surface here.
  22. So does that mean "left field" is a hint but just not a hint for an original?
  23. @Legacy Haven't had the time to do the reading I've wanted to do so I thought I'd go ahead and answer based of my original assumption for why it might be Alien. The list @TheRobcat made included Tremors, Creepshow, Children of the Corn, Amityville, Pet Semetary, Best of Hellraiser, Aliens, Dawn of the Dead. The tapped foot and grunt leads me to believe something he said is on the right track but not close. IMO Tremors is out - making a house off of a creature that burrows would be way out there and in my opinion might be hard to suit for HHN. Creepshow is titled STEPHEN KING's Creepshow - immediately out Amityville is an on the nose guess so it can't warrant a on the right track, but not right answer. Same for Pet Secretary. I think, if I'm even on the right track this leads us with a view possibilities: Dawn of the Dead = a George A. Romero Mash-up house Best of Hellraiser = just Hellraiser Aliens = just Alien. I figure with the rumors of a original space-station house, perhaps it's actually just an Alien house. There's precedent with AvP and if I recall correctly, the reason we got AvP and not Alien before was a rights issue - Disney featured the Alien at Hollywood Studios. BUT the attraction featuring Alien (The Great American Movie Ride) is now closed as of last August. If the rights opened up, the IP holder knows Universal will do it justice (as seen by how they tackled American Werewolf in London, the Exorcist, the Shining and of course AvP) and A&D wants to do it I'd say this would be the year. Of course this is all null and void if whatever's out in left field happens to be a corn field... with children in it. Also if misinformation is true I think one of the properties we got SNOWED on was the Thing. If not for the obvious hint but for a more practical reason. If there is a misinformation campaign Universal would have to do disinformation with PROPERTIES THEY OWN. There's no way the would damage potential business relations in such a practice. For the record my number #1 property I'd say is on lock would be The Lost Boys. It out of nowhere and not owned by Universal. Plus vampires have been a huge hit with Vamp '55 and the Hive but maybe this is all just hopeful thinking.
