  1. the problem with doing that is that the people that are working inside will keep telling you to move and will ruin the scares lol. Sometimes I try to slow down when there is no one behind me, sometimes there is no one behind me at all but there is a group in front of me, so I try to wait for the group to move, but then the people working inside won't let me. They keep telling me to catch up to them... It got pretty annoying. Specially because I had no one behind me, but they wouldn't leave me alone.
  2. I guess that makes sense. I personally just never felt the difference between the regular conga line and the pulsing groups. I had people in front of me and behind so I didn't really notice the difference.
  3. I don't remember Creatures (I barely did that house)
  4. amazing... Like my dream come true. I know these are expensive maybe, and I know people could break them. But one of my biggest wishes is that one day they have stuff like this for one of the houses. At least one house.
  5. no, you are right. 2011 had some of the best houses I've visited. seems like all the focus went to the houses that year because the houses were pretty amazing and the scarezones were not (not really) Some of the best houses I have visited were in 2011. I think every house had something good in it, That was a really good year for HHN house wise. (that's one of the reasons I was so disappointed in 2012, because the houses were so good in 2011, but the quality in houses dropped a little)
  6. I remember my first years going I used to think Uni would taught the actors "the art of the scare" or something, I guess I Was naive but I thought the people that worked in the event were taught how to act for the houses and scare.
  7. That is kind of another reason I wish they used puppets and animatronics more often, because having scareactors jump out and scare you kind of gets old. I don't know, I guess at this point I don't care about being scared but I want to be surprised. And I Want cool effects I can look at over and over when I visit the houses. I guess that's why I am thinking so much on Uni using puppets and animatronics. Because they don't use them often and it would be something cool to see. Like you said if we wanted to have people come out of a hole saying "boo" we would go to HOS.
  8. well, The alien creature hanging from the roof in The Thing house was not that scary either but it really looked amazing to me. I loved it, I loved the creature hanging and I love seeing the guy shoot at it. It was really cool to see. I didn't like the movie as much but The Thing house was pretty good, the costumes were really good, the actors hanging from the roofs were good, I really loved that house because of all of that.
  9. I also don't need blood or fake guts that much, some houses need it but some house don't need gore. I mean, gore is good depending on the subject of the house but a house doesn't need gore to be scary. It depends. What I wish they did for houses was bigger scares. The actors flying is a good way to surprise you and get you scared. Big puppets are another way to surprise you and scare you. Like the Llorona puppet example from Hollywood, the really big puppet they used. I kind of want to see bigger things at HHN, literally bigger things, bigger effects, bigger masks maybe.
  10. I am still waiting for the event to be held in parts of IOA or something like that. I know it is kind of impossible to have the event done there completely but I always wish every year that they do something with the parks.
  11. I saw pictures of that Llorona puppet scare you are talking about and I kind of wish we got something like that for Orlando (IF they already had something like that before then I either did not attend that year or totally missed it) I am a big fan of puppets and animatronics. Not only because they really scare me the first time I see them, but after I visit the house again it is really cool to see and pay attention to it. They are just really interesting to look at over and over. The Alien creature in the Thing house (2011) hanging from the roof is one of my favorite things they have done at HHN. Just like some of the puppets they had for the Thing House in 2007, again that was really amazing to see. One wishful thinking I have every year is that I wish they used more of them. I know they always say that people will break them but I don't like that excuse because they could always place them out of reach of people. They don't have to be within reach. I do wish they used puppets or animatronics at HHN more often. I really really like them. We don't really get that many of them. (or they were going to use them but then they end up cutting them from the house, which makes me kind of sad) I also love seeing masks (and prosthetics) being used at the event more than make up. That is just my personal opinion but I am not a big fan of make up or human characters (or victims) at HHN. They are just not that interesting. I love seeing really elaborate costumes and seeing cool masks (And prosthetics). I am always really happy when I see then being used in houses or scarezones. Now Let me explain. I have nothing against the actors working at HHN. They all do an amazing job that most people couldn't. They are really great. I also have nothing against using make up I just like masks and prosthetics more. I know some houses that have been amazing only used some make up (like Havoc:Dogs of War) I loved that house just as much as everyone else did. I just don't like it as much when the actors only have a little bit of make up on their face.
  12. ( ( this made me laugh) I agree, we need more Catacombs.
  13. I wouldn't go that far lol. It is true HHN is losing some of the appeal it had, but I think more people become HHN fans every year because of the IPs. If anything the IPs are making the fan base grow. I don't know, I don't know the real numbers or anything so I am just making guesses here. The one good thing about HHN is that at least they don't repeat houses.
  14. Definitely. This new Era of Darkness is not good lol.
  15. I used to defend IPs because some of my favorite houses were IPs. I loved 2007 and I loved the houses in 2009 as well. 2007 did not had a lot going on in the streets, but I really loved the houses that year. I don't think any of them were bad. I really loved the Friday the 13th house, I did that house like 50 times at least. But it all changed in 2012, from the years I've been attending HHN last year was the only one that I kind of regretted buying the FFPP, The houses were okay but not great, the park was too crowded, the hordes were okay but I prefer scarezones. It was just not the best year for me. The only house I cared about was Silent Hill and it was kind of a letdown. the whole event was "okay" but not great. I guess it had to do with the constructions going on and the lack of space as well, I don't know, it was just a weird year. I don't know how to feel about Ips anymore. I used to like them but last year is made me change my mind a little.
  16. I liked season one. Specially the first 3 episodes are really good for me. I agree that season 2 is pretty pretty bad. That is just because AMC wanted to stretch the budget as much as they could so you end up with a lot of pointless scenes. (the last episode was pretty good) I think is funny because most people get angry if you mention that season 2 sucks, and I always hear excuses like "If you want a zombie shooter type of show just play a video game then" but the point is that season 2 is pretty slow. Season 3 has been good so far but the 2 new episodes now have been kind of slow. the zombies in the show might not run, they might be kind of slow. But they are aggressive and really want to eat you. Which is not what we saw in the WD house. I understand that they probably told the actors to act slow like a walker, but they should have let the actors act aggressive towards you.
  17. Walking Dead was one of the tamest houses I've been to. the sets were okay but nothing to write home about. The roof room for example was nothing interesting. the part where the sheriff zombie came out of the door was nothing really awesome either, the barn was pretty lame and Walking Dead had one of the worst endings for a house I've ever seen, it was kind of pathetic. Now I am not talking about the actors here, I am talking about the design of the last part of the house. it was pretty dumb. the costumes for the actors for me were good actually. I know everyone kind of hated the zombie masks but I really liked the masks. If they did another Walking Dead house they should at least let the actors actually scare people, don't understand why this house was the way it was when it came to the actors as well.
  18. irrelevant, meme is 30 seconds long I really doubt bill and ted will use it for longer than a minute maybe.
  19. I never really posted on the P&T because I knew there would be backlash, and I do like Penn and Teller, but that house got less awesome the more times I went. Now this had nothing to do with the actors, I liked the people working this house, but after the 3D gimmick wore off and I went time and time again, I Realized that house was really not that great. the rooms were kinda "meh" they really did not a good job setting up the boo holes "they would end up being at the end of the rooms" and the whole Vegas thing felt gimmicky. I mean the rooms were not really that cool or funny, the costumes were really good for the actors but the house was not the best. the Cooper house I grew to love it because of the actors working there, they totally changed my mind about it. I ended up going to the AC house often and Never went back to P&T after a while. If I had to choose between the two houses I would usually just do AC over and over. but I agree those two houses didn't really belong in HHN. It would be fine if we never get any other music based houses, that's true, but if they did another music house I rather have Rob Zombie and Manson that to have Alice Cooper again in here. Once was enough. either never do music houses or at least use someone like Zombie... at least. That's where my wishful thinking comes from. Because if they were going to do another music house I rather see zombie that something like KISS or Ozzy or something like that.
  20. Harlem Shake is only 30 seconds long lol I wonder if they will make it last longer for Bill and Ted.
  21. I don't know, Rob Zombie just did a tour and played here a couple of shows, (he played Tampa) he is also having a movie coming out. Cooper might be more iconic but I think people are more aware of Zombie just because of his work in horror movies. Is true that he might not have as many fans as Cooper but I think more people know about Zombie because of the Halloween movies. at least the younger crowds.
  22. That is true as well, They could make a NIN house if they wanted to. visually at least I could see that totally working. ( I mean, wishful thinking here. )
  23. I agree that Rob Zombie should come to HHN Orlando, I really want that. As far as Manson, he is a self-absorbed jerk LOL. about My Manson posts were from the "Worst of Facebook" thread, when someone suggested Manson for the event which was included in the worst of facebook post. But I was just saying how Manson could work. and could work well. at least visually if anything. I think I Would rather see Manson that Cooper again. As far as clowns. Besides the clown house in 2007 I've never seen clowns. I've never seen a clown scarezone, (The half assed zone in the middle of 2007 doesn't really count for me) I guess clowns are cheesy and tired but I wish they did clowns with chainsaws at least once again. Specially if they used weird funny clown music, I think that would be a really fun zone to see. I know it has been done but I would like to see that. I said this before too, but seeing how much of a Home run it was for them to use the same IPs in 2012 I don't see how we will see all original houses in Orlando. Kinda seems like a winning formula as far as ticket sales go to have both events share the ips like they did last year. I think that will happen again this year.
