  1. I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought it was oddly worded. Pretty sure it should have been something like "With ten haunted houses, plus five scarzones and live entertainment still to be revealed..."
  2. Many things can cause a delay. In this case, I've heard that they had to reorganize a lot of the announce schedule they had planned. Basically, there's a lot going down in Florida this year; the new Potter Coaster, and Star Wars, EPCOT refurb, plus much more to come. No surprise, UOR and Disney try not to announce things at the same time, and they don't exactly coordinate with each other.
  3. Everyone really seemed to love it the last time they did that.
  4. I know Aiello would like to do it as a house, and there's a strong fanbase that would love to see it. It's hard to use it in marketing at the event though, just because the lack of Meyers. There does seem to be a good bit of merchandising coming out this year though. Particularly, a 3-pack of action figures by NECA
  5. Re: Phantasm - The one big thing it has going for it for HHN is, it's a classic/cult IP where the rights should be fairly easy to navigate.
  6. Guys....I don't understand what you're talking about with the F&F hate. My wife and I rode it last year for the first time, and had a blast cracking up with the two dudes seated beside us. We weren't sure how to take it at first until I asked out loud, "Why is Vin Diesel the same size as that helicopter?" From there on out, we couldn't stop laughing.
  7. April 3rd to be exact (Stranger Things). March 29th the year before, which was AHS.
  8. ...Or are put out by A24 or Annapurna, and wouldn't draw the crowds necessary for an IP to be worth it.
  9. Not the mention the amount of movement, not just of the camera, but of the actors as well. (Without getting spoilery) In and out of sets, different actors replacing the same characters, special effects timed just right. Simply amazing. They'll be teaching classes around it.
  10. Episode 6 is the best horror thing I saw last year. It's just brilliant, and you still have the biggest scare of the season coming a bit further down the road.
  11. Oh man. I would love a Hellboy house. I'm not sure they'd be 100% committed in the return on investment vs how much those costumes would cost.
  12. It's probably manageable with express, but I would try and avoid that weekend (and following Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday) if at all possible.
  13. I feel that HHNU's track record has been tarnished by their popularity. They may be getting more info from more sources, but they had a lot more misses than hits last year. Take everything on their site with a big 'ol shaker of salt. (Note: Apart from that, I think Chris seems like a great guy. This isn't meant as a personal attack.)
  14. It was, but that was a long time ago (relatively), and it has yet to get it's own house.
  15. So surprised they haven't done one yet. It's a Universal film, zombies are fairly cheap and easy, and it's a cult classic.
  16. You know what else I just realized is also opening on September 6th? IT Chapter 2. Not saying it was intentionally, but pulling thousands of horror fans out of theatres for opening night of HHN29 is a pretty good way to kind of stick it to Warner Bros.
  17. Judging by trends from previous years, I would be on late February/early March.
  18. Yup. Plus, zombies are fairly cheap to do too. For scenes, I'm thinking...(mild movie spoilers) . . . . Anna's house & street to the graveyard/playground The graveyard/playground The bowling alley That Christmas tree lot (probably the scene that screamed HHN the most) School hallway The final battle in the auditorium Back of the school with a musical finale.
  19. I mean...this would be pretty cool. I just saw it last night, and it was fantastic.
  20. I remember going into AE for the first time with a group of band-mates during Magic Music Days. Our minds were straight up blown, and we ended up getting right back in line four or five times. It still had that cute little "Disney-ness" to it, but then turned it on it's ear once everything starts going wrong. I've always said, Disney is best when it has a little darkness mixed in with the saccharine sweetness.
  21. I just do not understand people that don't consider Stranger Things to be a horror series. Everyone seems to want Stephen King properties come to HHN, while Stranger Things is extremely influenced by, and very similar to King and his works. Is it just because it doesn't have a slasher running around and cutting people up? ...Also...now I really want to see Disney do a Gravity Falls house at MNSSHP next year.
