  1. Yeah, I didn't go tonight because of the crappy weather. I can't go next Saturday because I have another event to attend. So maybe the followed Saturday. I choose Saturdays because none of my friends can really go so I usually reserve Saturdays for photo nights. I don't like having to stop in every scarezone for 15+ minutes taking pictures when my friends want to go do other things.
  2. I am borrowing a tripod from a friend of mine and will be spending the entire night tomorrow (Saturday) setting up camp in different areas of the park trying my hand at long exposures. If you see me, say hi
  3. It wouldn't hurt to stop by guest services, and if you were stern enough they *might* give him an option to upgrade. I'm pretty sure they're supposed to be non-upgradeable though.
  4. Chat tends to get busier towards the evening, check back around 7-9pm
  5. I often work at HRRR and didn't clock out until 3:40am last Friday night. It usually stays around 40-50mins every night peaking at 60-70mins.
  6. Mr. Wilson, I've never been on a UTH tour before, but I'm going on the 23rd. How are these tours handled in terms of photography? Are you free to walk about the house for a few minutes to take pictures or do I have to stay with the pace of the group. I'd like to be able to sit in each scene for a minute or two to compose my shots, instead of having to rush with settings and fiddle about the scene trying to figure out what I want to do before the guide yells at me to hurry up
  7. In attractions, the attendants take the wheelchair before you get on the ride and take it to the exit so it's there when you get off. I'm sure there wouldn't be any problem with you doing this at a house.
  8. You're allowed to take pictures, but they're not allowed to stop and pose for pictures this year.
  9. Just bought myself a Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 that should be here on Tuesday. Gonna play around with it a bit this weekend. Also borrowing a tripod to see if I can get some good long exposures similar to what Nick did
  10. I've gotta give credit where credit is due. Nightmaze, you guys are definitely picking it up. Great scares last night (Saturday). Can't count how many times you would take advantage of the light hitting me in the eyes so I was blind, then getting right up in my face. This is a great tactic and absolutely freaked me out when it happened.
  11. I had a lot of great shots tonight, but most were ruined due to being out of focus. Still trying to get used to manual focus, but you've gotta be quick. Here's some from 7 during the early evening and a few others. I really like the last one in this set, the action from the kids running beset by the calm eeriness of the actress. I'll probably spend most of next Saturday in Grown Evil because I've yet to get anything in there. Also going to borrow a 50mm from a friend for some more portraiture shots as this 35mm is pretty restricting, and I don't want to get too close to the actors.
  12. Nick did you use a tripod, or just find something to set your camera down on?
  13. What Rhi said. If you turn onto Universal Blvd. from Vineland, it's on the left before you go under the bridge past all the hotels. It's like "Pickup/Dropoff/Bus loop" Pretty sure it's right across from Valet.
  14. A couple from tonight. The rain sucks, and I'm really disappointed at the lack of photo opportunities in scarezones this year. We have nothing like Horrorwood or 20 Years. It seems like 7, Acid and Luck are the only 3 zones with anything you can take pictures of, and the latter 2 all have almost the exact same costumes so it's hard to do anything really creative. I would LOVE to get some shoots in Grown Evil but the lighting there is harsh, even for my poor little 1.8. I'll have to ask Pumpkin if she'd like to cooperate for a few pictures lol. Anyway, here's a few I got when we weren't in houses or it wasn't raining.
  15. Trying to find out which one of the girls got in my face and bit my shoulder tonight lol
  16. Saw it tonight and loved it! Went in with almost no expectations because last years show was so bad. But this year wasn't bad at all. I NEED THE SONG THAT THE DANCES TO WHEN HE AT THE END THOUGH.
  17. Just wanted to thank everyone that gave me a "NIGHTMARES!" last night. I got quite a few Especially in Winters Night and Nightingales
  18. They seemed to be a little more on the ball with the walls last night. I actually got cut off a few times and it was pretty interesting. One of the scareactors got my girlfriend really good, he was against the wall so it was black on black and you couldn't see him at all. I'll give them some time to find their groove before I fully judge this zone. Wtf was with the lady selling blood bags in this zone though? Keep vendors out of scarezones. Please.
  19. I'm glad some people are enjoying it this year. I'll be checking it out tonight.
  20. The queues remain the same. I had a lot more fun tonight than on EP. Everything just seemed better.
  21. Great pics everyone. I'm really looking forward to using my camera more tonight. EP and last night were spent with us mostly trying to hit the houses as many times as possible. 7 looks like a really fun place to shoot.
  22. Went through this zone legitimately last night around 11:30 and the sexy ladies dancing to some Manson was very very cool.
