  1. Maybe it's not the best location for the any of the scarier zones, but I liked it because it always seemed to be the place for the more fun scarezones, such as Horrorwood and Fear Revealed. The more intense scarezones are better off in places like New York and Shrek Alley. No matter what, I will be happy if they are moving the streets around a bit though. They did all seem to be to close together. I just hope they don't put anything where Cirque Du Freak was. It's nice to finally have some role names. Now we actually have something useful to speculate on. But A&D makes these roles vague for a reason, and they might end up meaning something completely different than we expected.
  2. That was definitely how I felt after my first time going to the event. It was such an amazing feeling.
  3. Any time I turn on my fog machine the smell takes me right back to HHN. I just did it today and it never fails to do the trick.
  4. I really hope that we will still be getting a scarezone in Mel's this year. For the last two years that has been my favorite area for a scarezone.
  5. I will definitely be contributing more to this thread as the weeks go on and more artwork is released. Until then, I have created a high resolution version of this year's event logo using the fonts Galliard BT and "Stage" (which can be downloaded here). It is in the resolution 1920x1080. If anyone would like a different resolution I would be happy to make it for you. I can make you a custom one without having to lower the quality of the text.
  6. I would love to see another house set in Space or with a Sci Fi theme. Futuristic environments are my favorite type of theme. Imagine a house where you're trapped in a spaceship with carnivorous aliens/monsters/mutant space people. Think Dead Space, Aliens, and Pandorum.
  7. I would love to see returning iterations of Havoc and Catacombs, since they were both excellent last year. Otherwise, anything else that has had a sequel before I think should be put to rest.
  8. There are a lot of them. But if I had to pick only one, mine definitely has to be experiencing the last two casts of the Fear Revealed scarezone in 2010.
  9. I'm thinking that it was probably a 20th anniversary, one time only type of thing, but I loved it and really hope it's back. Even if we don't have any exhibits or talks with A&D, it would still be worth the $10 to go in there, have a place to buy drinks without waiting in line, and get to interact with the scareactors when they go through cast changes.
  10. Not sure if this belongs in Website updates or not. But I just got this in my email:
  11. I think this would be discouraged since the actors are there to scare and not for photo ops. Yes some will pose but they are not required to.
  12. I doubt Universal will let anyone into IOA for $15 anymore now that they have Potter.
  13. So we're getting some sort of a gambling/casino theme. I'm excited about it, the only negative feelings I really have are the lack of surprise. I really think this year has a lot of potential, I'm interested in what kind of icon, if any, we're going to have with this. Also, the HHN Facebook page just posted this:
  14. My wishful thinking right now isn't much to ask. I know that A&D is the best there is when it comes to making haunt events, and I just hope we get a quality event this year, with 8 houses and 6 scarezones, a nice variety in theming, and a fun build up to September, since that's half the fun!
  15. Being in the New York area by the Mummy reminds me of HHN because I had so many good times there in Stay and Scream.
  16. This. I'll be 21 this year and you bet I won't be paying $10 every time I want a drink
  17. That's interesting. I always thought the only purpose was to get you back down on the floor of the soundstage, since the first part of the house was elevated to make room for the "under the floor" scare.
  18. It sounds like you're probably right about most of those. I thought that a mention of Friday would be inevitable, but people have pretty much gotten tired of it by now. I'm expecting to see Charlie Sheen though.
  19. I watched a video of the UTH tour through Legendary Truth, and I remember them mentioning that there was a certain part of LT that had nothing going on, but they originally had planned to have a ghost swoop down on you from above. I don't remember why they didn't go through with it though. This is very interesting. I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one who had complaints about the lack of ceilings.
  20. You sure you weren't drunk when typing that?
  21. I really liked the font used in your sig, so I used it for your avatar as well. Without much to go off of I decided to keep the crow in your new avatar and use some grunge/blood brushes to complete the look. I also made it transparent, like your sig. I added a glow around the bird since it might not be visible on some monitors. Take your pick. I made this pretty quickly so if you'd like something else that's fine.
  22. Honestly I just want the event dates and ticket prices. They can hold off on clues for a while but they need to get this damn generic site up now!
  23. It's an adult event, and a lot of adults enjoy drinking alcohol. Not to mention Universal makes a ton of money off of it. Yes, some people don't know how to handle themselves at an event like this while under the influence, but that's what security is for, and why Universal is so strict about it.
  24. You are supposed to feel "trapped" like if you were in a maze. As if you can't find your way out. At least that is how they are designed to make you feel. Yes they are linear and you can't really get lost, but I guess that's why HHN calls them houses and doesn't really use the word maze.
