I agree with Sweeney, when I took the survey I thought it was a good idea, but now after reading JW's post... Either way, I don't exactly have to buy a ticket anymore...

I kinda like this idea. It would be like saying, "it's a new decade, so we've got new/original ideas". It's almost like a change of command ceremony (changing of the guard).

Why can't you run attractions and the parade at the same time?

To continue the off-topicness: If I wasn't biased in my opinion, I would say that Cleaver should have won HotY. But I am, so I don't. Some of my best experiences last year as a quest were in that house.

Why don't they implement the method of wait time estimation that they use for their rides, or do they SWAG that also?

I'd like to see Halloween as well (original not the remake) but I'd really like to see an Alien house. After Interstellar Terror, I feel that it could be successfully recreated. I would really like to see The Shining (it is my favorite 'horror' movie) but I'm afraid that I'd be disappointed because my expectations would be too high.

Oh, I vividly remember the third weekend when I was sick on a night that my cast closed, our ASM came through to tell us that the wait time was only 5 min. 30 min later, I had coughed my lung onto the floor and people were still coming through.

If I could only pick one night to attend the event each year, it would be opening night. Everything is new. Unfortunately, people like to destroy stuff, so if you o towards the end of the event you may see some sets in states that the designers had not intended. Crowds are small. In late September most people are not yet thinking about halloween and ones that are, are people like you would find one websites such as this. In other words, you don't have a lot of the drunken john smiths that are there just because it is halloween. Scareactors are fresh. Scareactors seem to be the most rested and energetic during the first weekend. At the same time though, most scareactors are still trying to get into their groove (figuring out scare tactics that work or not). Of corse there are always exceptions, so I think that this could go either way. Opening ceremonies. In years past they would have 'opening scareamonies' that tied into the theme for that year. Unfortunately, they haven't really done this for the past few years.

But... I bet it was totally worth it!

Well, we have had a newly released Universal movie made into a house since '07. So, is there any new movies that could possibly be made into a house or is the movie-made-into-house idea part of that 'three year story arc' we heard about?

I agree on Nazermanns not being used. IMO, its just too small of a space, even with Sting Alley and the Starbucks building. I dont think it will be used as a separate scarezone (like what was said above, it'd be too cluttered), but I do see it as part of a larger scarezone (i.e. Deadtropolis in '06).

So we have discussed the house locations, but how about the scare zone locations?

Ah, well I need to go find and take that survey then. The only reason I see them not bringing back RHPS is because of cost (either cost of putting it on or cost to potentially renew the rights). To not have B&T for the 20th year (especially if its an anniversary) would be... illogical. But at the same time, I want them to start something new. I know I'm in the minority here in saying this, but I don't like the B&T shows. Again, with it being an anniversary year, I see some sort of Main Stage show (in the vein of the 16 Arrival Show), introducing the icons and giving a history of HHN. The Bowl stage would be an awesome place for it but it would create too much of a cluster fuck with the SS queue lines. This could even be the reason for not bringing back RHPS.

Well you have the parade float/warehouse building that has housed Scary Tales 3 (08) and Silver Screams (09). You then have the sprung tents, which held this past year Chucky and The Spawning. I have heard from a few people that the rights to Rocky Horror were bought for only 3 years, which would have made this past year the final year. I don't know if they intend to buy the rights again or if this is even true.

I would be ashamed if I had lived in England too. But seriously, you should not be ashamed, we all have to start somewhere. We are just glad that you have found enjoyment in an event that many of us love very much!

Id rather give up a crappy house and have a parade but I don't think it'll happen. And I agree JW, it seemed like they were trying to appeal to everyone. Accuracy by volume only works if you have a M61 Vulcan.
