  1. So far from some tweets I've seen: AvP is beautiful FDTD Beautiful lacking scares TWD had to be evacuated due to fire alarm pulled Dracula Untold- "Surprise hit of the night" But then again it is only 8:05 pm
  2. Just call merch services and they will ship mostly everything only thing I still have to get is AP holder pin which they need to see AP pass apparently not just the number Last year I couldn't get AP pin cause I went late but I go next friday so hopefully it won't be sold out by then
  3. just ordered all the things I want :DDDD got the halloween, chuck, AWIL & house shirts and got the chuck and event pin. No iPhone 4 cases
  4. Wasn't EP last night? How come no news on what everyone likes
  5. I'm shocked at all the merch this year. The AvP shirt is the only shirt that I'm disappointed in. I love almost all of the shirts though so there goes my money
  6. My assumption- Chucky inside Dollhouse of the Damned, OR possibly trying to see who would buy the shirt which would show his relevance and maybe deciding whether to bring him next year to the event
  7. The park is usually empty during the day at HHN. Especially since it's the first weekend which all students have school and not a busy season. I always go to the park right when doors open (8am) and this year since HP is out, I'm leaving my hotel at 6 am so I could be first in without staying onsite. Universal roughly takes 5 hours to complete, give or take what you skip and what you do while roaming, and Islands of Adventure can roughly take 4 hours, with sometimes even only 2 hours. With IOA (and now Uni) , do HP first and then hit everything else. That HP line gets pretty crazy (up to 2 or more hours when crowded- at least an hour when semi-crowded) and everything else should be a step-on. Id also advise you to do the Forbidden Journey in IOA before the dragon challenge. Dragons will have a 5 minute wait all day while FJ will go up every minute. Universal is more shows, thats why it takes a while and IOA is more roller coasters which is why you can do the park relatively quickly. If you plan on doing both on the same day and then HHN, 1- GOOD LUCK! Walking 3 parks are not the most fun. 2- Do Universal first, hit HP diagon alley and then go on train to HPFJ so you get to do the train and both HP rides before a lot of people show up. 3- Try and finish near 4/430 and walk around City Walk. Honestly, city walk is equivalent to as much fun as the parks for me. With the express, do the houses with 5-20 minutes WITHOUT express. Now 20 minutes you may want to use it, but those house waits get up to 45 on non peak nights for HHN. I'm assuming at least an hour for the heavy IP houses (TWD, AvP & Halloween) for every night, so try those houses first if you want to do them more than once. Remember to go right if you like to go in a circular order. This way the people coming in will go straight and you will go the opposite way. Then when it's the end of the night you get the sound stages, which are darker anyways so your eyes will work better in the tent houses, with the least wait times.
  8. Every year I stay at the double tree or the holiday inn (both next to each other) right across the street from the entrance to Universal Orlando. It is a very walkable distance, if not almost the same as walking onsite, if you count distance to City Walk not the park. It's a fantastic price, I'm staying at the Holiday Inn this year or 140 all together for two nights. That's one of the cheapest rooms I've seen in Orlando plus the room isn't bad at all. Another bonus is it is attached to the TGI Fridays which includes breakfast in the morning Plus I always go to stand at the gate at 5:30/6. If you get there at 6 you won't be waiting long and it will be crowded but make a right, which in this case would be the Face Off scare zone and hit the houses next to E.T. (Dollhouse of Damned/Roanoke) and keep going in that order. Personally with Bill and Ted, I've never had a problem with getting in the show. It's getting out that is hectic, but if you don't mind leaving before they finish the dances you should be fine. I'd also eat before you go in the park. I have a tradition where I go to the Hard Rock right before I go in the park and then if still hungry on way out just stop in Mels or get something on city walk. It really is disappointing to watch people stop and eat which can easily make you miss one or more houses.
  9. I think it will probably be this Halloween (let's be real, this house will be a mad house... literally...) AvP (Many people know this franchise. I'm expecting huge wait) TWD (always has a long wait plus it will be longest house and idk what that means for the wait time, making it shorter or longer) Dracula Untold (People will see dracula and run to it) Giggle and Gore/Dollhouse of the damned (Both intriguing names that pop out to common fears) FDTD (IP I guess... Feel only certain people know this movie and especially the show) Roanoke (Not saying this won't be HOTY because I have my bet that it will be, but not intriguing enough to the general public)
  10. What does everyone think is the house they will put most effort in this year? You know in the past houses like the Forsaken have been looked on and very publicized. I think Mike will push Halloween the most this year, but I'm really feeling this FDTD maze... I don't know why, but I feel, after watching the series, that this will be a breakout house. I found it shocking that they put TWD in the main frame of the arch rather than Halloween tbh
  11. I have emailed the merchandise services twice, they said at first "write back next week, since we start to receive merchandise for HHN the week of the the first night" and the second email said "you can buy the merchandise on September 19th, which is the first day of the HHN event." I am still going to email and see all that I can find out (two years ago they emailed me details about the shirt once asked which was about a week before the event, looks like they will be tougher with revealing details early ) I'm expecting at least the house shirt by tomorrow, if not by the end of the day to be put on the shelves.
  12. Does anybody have a list of the monsters/creations going to be shown? I know one or two of Laura's creations will be on the street, but I also hope they put fascinating creations not only scary ones. Like Rayce's violin character in season 2... IMO that was the best creation we've ever seen on the show so it would be so cool to see it in person
  13. Hey I made this so we can discuss, talk, and post pictures about the HHN24 merchandise (: Personally I feel they will have the usual 4 shirts. We'll have the house shirt saying like "You've been warned", the generic hhn/twd shirt, an AVP shirt and a Halloween shirt. Then the jacket (which I hope isn't zip up ) and the hhn 24 hat/shot glasses. I'm hoping for something new this year though... Maybe a house jacket? Or the house shirt also have scare zone pictures? Plus I hope they have a Purge shirt!
  14. This is something everyone I know keeps saying. IMO, I'm so happy without a 3d house. I typically hate all 3d houses, besides last year, which I LOVED. Does anyone know the house where Afterlife was last year? I think it's Roanoke, which would the spinning tunnel be in there? Maybe to send us to past/future?
  15. Does any one have the map for this years event? I know some places like where G&G and TWD are, but not others.
  16. I am going to the event 2 nights this year (typically only go one night, so I'm stoked!) Now, for the saturday night I have express and know when and where to use it . Now I will not be at the park till around 7 on Friday, September 26. What should I do? I think I will get B&T done on friday and some houses. Either way, I am doing AP night on the 27 and with express I will be able to do most houses at least 2 times. Which houses should I do on friday? Also whats a good strategy to do all houses on friday night, even when getting inside the park at 7/7:30? I'm really only concerned with the houses, not the rides, so is there any specific order I should do? I was thinking start in the middle (Giggles and Gore) and work my way clockwise to the tents then sound stages.
  17. Does any one have information on the AP nights? I already reserved my spot, but does anyone know the houses and how it runs? This is my first year doing the AP night but last year I did do Stay and Scream in which I only got to do one run of AWIL before people were let in. Does AP night run more smooth? Are there less people? Plus AP night is separated from stay and scream, right?
  18. Merch tends to go on sale the week of HHN. I always order the shirts before I go to the event, which the shirts used to always be online but for the past I would say 3 years, they have never been online. I email the merchandise support the week of HHN (I'll probably email them on September 13) and see if they have the shirts. I almost always buy the shirts blind which some find not very smart but I typically love every shirt. So I would just wait till the week of September 15, in which they usually get the merch. Once they have the merch, you can order it over the phone to your house. Hoped this helped
  19. Houses: Roanoke Dollhouse of the Damned Halloween AvP Giggles and Gore From Dusk Till Dawn Dracula Untold (feel it will be exactly like Wolfman- Beautiful scenery, not scary) TWD Scarezones: Bayou Of Blood Purge Faceoff (Love this show so hopefully this a cool zone) Maskerade
  20. So I don't mind having TWD as a house, but the fact that it is double the length is very... disappointing. I would rather have a house that we haven't seen be double the length, not a house that we've seen the past two years. While yes, I understand it is a "new" version, zombies are zombies. Hopefully I am wrong! I think they are going to have a boat load of zombies in here, as that has been a complaint I've seen all over with not enough zombies being in the houses.
  21. Any one else think that "I" and the dark red can be related to Insidious? I mean that was a hollywood hit last year and it is a VERY popular franchise at the moment... I would love an Insidious house, but can that make a good main theme?
  22. Houses: 1. Trick R' Treat 2. American Horror Story (A mix of all three or just Asylum) 3. Sinister 4. The Conjuring 5. You're Next (If this was the Purge I wouldn't mind since they're basically the same and in the purge they can use any mask they want not just the hillary one they used in the first) 6. Scary Tales (Always wanted to see one of these houses) 7. H.R. BloodeNGutz house with his favorite spins on movies that are popular 8. Insidious House Streets- The Purge Classic scary characters (Jason, Freddy, Leatherface, Etc) CITW: Released (Where its the monsters released out in the open) TWD (Not gonna get rid of it and I don't mind zombies) Icon scarezone Show: Bill & Ted Rocky Horror Picture Show Icon show explaining everything about him/her
  23. I just got this game the other day, when I say its scary, I mean I am DEATHLY AFRAID of this game. It is amazing though! I only have played it for a couple hours and I had to have my friend over to play it. I reminds me of Dead Exposure, since its like you only have a (video) camera through a dark place. You use night vision to see which makes everything a lot more scarier. I would love an Outlast house!
  24. I live in ft lauderdale it is just i wanted to hit uni before the huge crowd came so the only way was to leave around 4:30/5 and make it there at around 8
  25. I went on Saturday the 19th (busiest day i heard). I kind of rushed with this review since i had no sleep this weekend after waking up 4 am to go to orlando and then wake up next morning and do IOA at 8 so I had little time not to mention have school but I just threw it all together lol but yeah some of my opinions made little to no sense but all in all this year was very well done and I loved it OH AND SCENERY never touched on that! - everything got a 5/5 because inside every house was an unbelievable facade, and just everything was amazing in detail, but they never disappoint in detail so it comes to no surprise to me
